Came here with a group of friends. For some reason security asked my group and I to clean off our table that had ice on it. I had accidentally knocked my glass over. I had finished my water so it was just some ice. My friend got mad and just swept the ice off the table. Security came back and kicked us out. We're not locals so I'm thinking he was exercising his power to kick people out that rub him the wrong way. I've never been in a bar where they tell costumers to clean off a table because there's ice on it. read more

I came here for my older sister's birthday two weeks ago, and as soon I entered, they had some 80s freestyle playing, which was pretty great. This place gets PACKED & HOT. Drinks are pretty cheap and the DJ on Saturdays plays everything from R. Kelly to 80s Freestyle to 90s Hip-hop. (YAAAASSS!!) One star off because of it being so packed, and because my friend was trying to come in, and they rejected his entrance because of his ID. lol read more

This place was a little odd, but fun. From reading the reviews, it seems like they upgraded their facilities quite a bit but retained the same sketchy crowd. Pros: the place really does look nice, like a classy nightclub. Pool tables, uplit full bar, nice restrooms, hi-tech jukebox. 12 taps, most of which are decent microbrews. Reasonable prices. Friendly bartender. Cons: lots of drunks, including one particularly loud guy who was in the process of being cut off when we left. This makes it harder to enjoy the facilities: for instance, no way was I going to play pool next to Mr. I-Love-Everybody. The jukebox is 2 songs for a dollar, and you might have to wait an hour to hear yours (we did, after a previous patron played an entire Li'l Wayne album. Really?!) Some very made-up party girls, too. Not really our scene. If I were back in the area, I would definitely visit again just for the beer selection, which is pretty bad in LA in general. And maybe to people-watch, too! read more

Pretty much our go to dive bar. It is located only a few blocks away so easy to get to. They have a juke box and on weekends have a dj. It is a smaller bar but it is nice inside, very clean. They have 2 pool tables as well. As far as beer selection goes, they have maybe 10 beers on draft. I can usually find something I like there. It is right next to a burger spot as well and you can order from them and bring into the bar. read more

So I came here tonight on the night of November the 5th at around 1 am. I ordered everything seemed okay and chill. I saw that the person sitting next to me ordered a drink after last call. I asked the server if I could order another round. when I did, the server told me I couldn't and I complained the the guy next to me ordered. It shouldn't take 20 minutes to get a drink when the place isn't even packed. Occurred twice on the same night. Bartenders will brush you off to serve the people they know first despite ordering before them. Well what to say this local Downey bar with it's customers and bartender's....first of all when you are a female waitress and getting called left and right from potential customers sitting at the bar and you ignore them not cool I'm waiting to purchase a beer after 10 min of waiting you walk towards me yay I'm getting service....sike! Your little friend comes up out of nowhere you take his order and not mine not the people that have been waiting to order. Nice to see that customer service from such a place people frequent usually do yourself a favor go down the street to Stardust bar they'll take care of you without hesitation I'll tell you from personal experience. Thanks Glen for showing us what kind of bartenders you hire with such low morality towards customers and your bartenders friends. We came here to drink on a friday and we opened a tab on a card and ended up paying with cash. We ended up leaving the card there because security told us we had to leave and totally forgot about it. We woke up the next morning to the exact amount i paid in cash being charged to her card. We went today to talk to the manager carlos and he was lying saying we had closed the tab on her card halfway through the night even though we never got the card back. We asked him to bring us the receipt with the signature saying that we closed the tab and he brought out a receipt with no signature because we didnt authorize the transaction. So i would reccomend paying cash only and asking the price of every drink before hand because theyre pretty shady. read more

My gf lived in the area and I lived in LB so I tried to find a bar that was divey but not completely dead. I found this bar on yelp and gave it a shot. First time we went we had a pretty good time, the beer selection is okay and the service itself is not bad. It does get pretty crowded sometimes so its best to get here early if your hoping to get a seat. The crowd is kind of mixed; though they were playing a lot of mainstream music there was different types of people. I've only been there on the weekend so don't know how it is during the week. read more

I literally love this place the people here are amazing. I always have a great time. Every staff member is super friendly and inviting they have happy hr all day Monday. They also have free pool all day on Wednesdays and karaoke on Tuesdays and Sundays from 9 till close. So if you love to have a good time and sing this place will do the job. Be sure to ask for any of my fave bartenders Carlos , Karina and, Johnny these guys are the best bartenders . Great bar with good specials good bartenders that are far more attentive and pleasant than any group in Downey. I tend to go on Tuesdays for Karaoke but they have something fun going on each night of the week. They have been doing for years what Downey Brewing Company refuses to do. This is a small neighborhood bar so don't expectthe trappings of a corporate spot but if you are looking for good drinks and a fun 28-48 kind of crowd this place works. read more

I've been coming to this little dive bar for over a year now, and I gotta say it's THE best bar I've ever been to....love Carlos the bartender and Coby the bouncer...and ADRIAN, my favorite pool opponent and token eye candy ;) you guys rock! Absolutely Ghetto... I made the biggest mistake and came here after New Years. With a group of friends, right when walking in I should have known to get the heck out. Yes of course it's New Years and people are drinking but come on at least have the decency to cut people off when there on vomit mode... After maybe 30minutes we had to get out because of course with alcohol the fights came out... Security was no where to be found and let just say it was a disaster .....
