So, microneedling is one of those get shit done services. You're not there to relax, you're there for results. My skin was cleansed and numbing cream was applied. Then it came time for the fun stuff. Lesley uses the stamping method while microneedling versus dragging the pen back and forth across the skin (if you're wondering why this is the best technique, google banana and microneedling). On my chin and cheeks it just felt like i was getting massaged with a mini Theragun. My forehead was my downfall, and apparently does not know how to man up. That's where I started to feel it, and needed a break. Around the eyes was more awkward than anything, as the force from the gun made my eyes water, and my neck was smooth sailing. Lesley also did some radio frequency work for skin firming. I'm happy with the results (improved skin texture and tone) and will def head back for more. I asked Lesley how many sessions I needed (I've heard up to six to start off with), and she said she felt I would be okay starting with a series of two. Looking back at other series I've had done, after the third or fourth facial is when I've seen greatly diminished or even worsening results, so she knows her stuff. Final verdict? If one was requested at the time I booked the appointment, I would have left one. We arrived at 11:05 for our 11:30 appointment; signed wavers and was offered a beverage. We chose white wine and didn't know it would be warm. My best friend received her massage first and just when my feet were in the water, they were taken out. The massage therapist was ready for me. So my best friend started with her pedicure. After my massage, there was a period of waiting. A long period, in which we binged on Good Girls. There is only one nail tech on duty, it was explained that sometimes there are two on Thursdays. I made sure that my friend was able to receive the signature chocolate experience. Time did not allow me to take advantage of anything special. We were there so long that I lost the desire anyway. At some point, you could hear light growls from our stomachs. No one ever offered us anything other than the initial welcome glass of warm, white wine. Upon completion, we were told at the register that the business adds a four percent charge to all credit card purchases. RIDICULOUS! That's on the total!
