Plus I felt that the employees could have explained the procedure a bit better- they walked me into the room and did not explain the level of undress needed. I had to ask how much to remove. They didn't even offer a few minutes of privacy to undress and the initial exchange was rather awkward. I think a little more customer service up front would go far. However, I really did enjoy the actual service and thought the pros outweighed the cons. Once the head spa began I really felt such a state of zen. The few bits of background noise became totally drowned out for me and I was able to relax. The products used in my hair all smelled lovely and felt quality. Plus the massage portion was great! The 60 minute services feel affordable at $80. Some competitors in Orlando are charging nearly double so this feels do-able on a more regular basis. Next time, I think I'll make this a girls day and come with a friend as sharing the space with someone I know would be a bit more comfortable. Forget it, just go to the front and explain your issue to someone else. It worked for me. Kristen in the room didn't know if I needed to be numbed for a procedure (I had to ask her) what order to numb me (they added mouthwash as an extra step) then doesn't listen to my question about the product that's banked, instead quotes another product in a rude tone like she's the authority of what I'm going to do. She's clearly in the wrong industry. This is a beauty industry. I don't HAVE to go there to spend my money. They DO have competition. Karina can't process big words or minimally complex business issues. I'd not have her run a flea circus let alone a lucrative med spa.. well, what was once a lucrative med spa.... I had to make an emergency appointment with an opthamologist after my lash appointment with spa bar because I am leaving for my wedding tomorrow. I told the doctor I felt some extra burning in that corner while getting them done and the specialist told me the lash tech either scratched my eye or got some of the chemicals in my eyeball that damaged the surface of my eye. I called and asked to speak to a manager (to hopefully get a refund for the extra $25 she charged me for the style I wanted and the $25 I tipped her) but the manager was unavailable and the front desk totally brushed me off saying the doctor was probably wrong and burning was normal. Burning can be normal, but when a specialist tells you that you've damaged someone's eye, accountability is expected. Don't go here unless you want an extra charge for style, and then have to pay $94 at the eye doctor after they damage your eyeball.
