I drive by this place at least twice a week and had never stopped to try their food. A few weeks ago, one of my coworkers mentioned Las Brazas during a lunch conversation, which sparked my curiosity. While doing several site visits with our company leadership, we decided to make a quick stop here for lunch, and we we had a great time. Everyone ordered something different, and both the presentation and the flavors were on point. The food was absolutely delicious. The service was exceptional, and the ambiance and décor were great. It's a small but very welcoming place. The lomo saltado was money! I'm already looking forward to my next visit to try their ceviche. Our IT Director was in town and really enjoyed his lunch as well. I love these small establishments. It is in the Edgewood area of Orlando. When you walk in you are greeted very friendly. The furniture was very warm and inviting. Our appetizer was the Herbed Shrimp. It was eaten quickly and so welled seasoned with flavor. We ordered the Brazas Chicken Combo as the entreeThe chicken was seasoned down to the bone. I have been wanting to try this place forever and finally did. It was a great experience! My boyfriend and I stopped in for lunch and were seated immediately. I saw some reviews mention that service is lacking sometimes, but that was not the case for us. Our server was very attentive and checked on us regularly. Food came out quickly as well. I ordered the quarter Peruvian chicken and a side of beans and rice. The chicken was juicy and delicious on its own and then the sauces they bring elevated it. I was all about the white sauce and chimichurri! The other sauce was not my favorite, but not bad. The rice and beans were very good. The rice was cooked perfectly and I added the liquid from the chimichurri to give it even more yummy flavor. My boyfriend got the breaded steak and enjoyed it. I tasted it and thought it was good as well. The portions are very generous. I really want to try the potato appetizer with sauce (I cannot think of how to spell the proper name), but we didn't figure we would be able to finish our meals if we ordered it this time. Bra as has remained a popular spot in the south SODO area of Orlando, and for good reason. This authentic Peruvian spot is serving up the most delicious meals. Apps - Papa a la huancaina is delicious. My favorite appetizer thought is the Yuca a la huancaina. The ceviche is also top notch. Entrees - The chicken is a MUST TRY. Wow.. it's amazing. Some nights if we don't have any dinner ideas, we'll just order a full chicken from Brazas and cook up some veggies on the side. The Lomo Saltado is also a winner. So delicious. First time coming here and I was pleasantly surprised! My coworker was telling me about this place and I'm so happy we stopped in for lunch. Cute, quaint little place. She told me they definitely upgraded a little bit from what it used to be. They have a mixture of high tops, six tops, and four tops inside. Even a little bar area right when you walk in. I got the lunch special, which comes with 1/4 chicken, salad and your choice side (I chose the maduros). It was so good! The chicken was super flavorful and tender. The maduros were sweet and soft. Brazas is Peruvian food, known for their chicken. For $22.33 including tax, I ordered a whole chicken with a small side of fried yucca (starchy root vegetable; similar to French fries but tastier), and a signature Peruvian creamy cheese sauce "crema a la huancaina". This has been a favorite for years, however over the past couple of years they have reduced their menu removing all beef dishes. Stopped in today and found that they've increased their prices significantly ceviche has gone up three dollars and something else that was kind of surprising is that the menu prices are all cash prices if you pay by credit card it's a 4% charge extra on the entire check, so that was kind of interesting. Their hours of operation have also been reduced and so have their days of operation. A decline in business could be as a result of the price increase, the charges for paying by credit and the inconsistent hours of operation. read more

Great service and okay food. Something about this place is missing Peruvian soul. As soon as you walk in there's a giant blue lives matter flag. Lots of American flags everywhere which is fine but no sign of Peru or latinidad. Not a lot of Spanish music either. I feel like they're assimilating to western demographic when they should be proud of their culture and exposing the sodo neighborhood to true Peruvian culture. Also, I was kind of confused as to why they didn't have lomo saltado. I understand beef is expensive but maybe including a chicken lomo would help? I came here on a Sunday afternoon and to my surprise, this place was really busy. I wasn't really expecting that, considering Brazas Chicken is kind of out of the way. We sat down, ordered quickly, and our food followed shortly. We came in a group, so we ordered a whole rotisserie chicken (Pollo a la Brasa) with fries and salad, and my buddy ordered a fried fish. We also ordered some Peruvian sodas since the chicha morada is not made in-house. The food was really good, the chicken was very tasty, the salad was very good, the fries were really good also (not regular string fries), but the sauces that accompany the chicken were amazing. The fish was good, according to my buddy, and we did not get dessert. So, being born in Peru, I can say that this is one of the best overall Pollo a la Brasa in Orlando, almost Florida. I did not really like that the chicken looked and felt like roasted chicken (versus rotisserie), but it tasted good. The fries though... the fries and the sauces really did it for me. Rotisserie chicken and fries to Peruvians is like Fish and Chips to Brits. We really take this seriously. The service was good, the place is clean, maybe a little warm, but nothing horrible. There are a few places that I go to for whole roasted chicken. And I just added Brazas Chicken to my list. After many years of hearing my friends rave about this restaurant, I finally decided to give it a try. And what better time to try it after an afternoon of soaking up local culture. We weren't sure if Brazas was still in business until we saw someone walking in the front door. It is easy to assume the place is closed if you're not familiar with the area. As we walked in the front door, we were greeted by a young gentleman right away and he asked what type of seating we preferred. We decided to sit at a high table next to the window. He took our drink orders right away and a few minutes later came back with some sauces and crispy corn snack. The corn snack was amazing. Reminds me of the texture of the roasted garlic peanuts my mom used to make for me when I was a little kid. As we looked at the menu, we decided to try the Brazas Super Combo Chicken. It included a whole chicken, rice and beans, fries and franks, plantains and avocado salad. The meal was just for the 2 of us but could easily feed 4 people. We ordered 5 different dishes and a dessert just so we can try everything. The best ceviche you will ever have. The Lomo Saltado which a very traditional dish in Peru was delicious. We were happy with everything we ordered. They also give you a tray of 4 homemade sauces, which were so complementary and very good. And of course they have Inca Cola!! We have been twice in a week. We cannot get enough of their chicken and sauces! We often drive by and keep telling ourselves to go, well we finally did it and WOW! It is fantastic! Now this review is solely on the chicken and sides and how wonderful it is, moist, juicy, flavorful , and perfectly cooked! We usually go at lunch to get the lunch special- quarter chicken, side, salad and a soda for 9.99. It's plenty of food to keep you full and wanting to come another day for a great meal! We have gotten the rice and beans as side and the sweet potato fries. Both were really well done and kept up looking for another great bite to finish your meal on! Now the sauces, you get a plate of their house made sauces when you sit down, all have a little bit of garlic in Each some spicy some creamy. I love them all! I could sit with a bowl of fries and just dip away! But they go great on the beans, rice, and chicken! They also make their own creamy salad dressing, at similar to a ranch and so delicious! The restaurant is situated in an old shopping center and is quite small once you walk in. I believe it has about 6 or so tables. As soon as you sit down you are served popcorn kernels as a snack in addition to an array of various homemade authentic Peruvian sauces that you can use for your meal. My husband and I ordered the whole chicken, small fries and the papa la huancaina for about $28 total and we had food left over. Absolutely great price for the food and great service! The papa la huancaina is a MUST. This is a potato dish that is covered with a delicious yellow sauce that just can't be described, but just know that the moment you have it you will forever love the taste! The chicken itself has so much flavor, you don't even need to use the delicious sauces that are provided at the table, but I had to sue the sauces just because they were so delicious as well! I usually order a family combo which includes an avocado salad, a whole chicken, French fries and dipping sauces.
