I wanted to love this place because we love, love steak but it was so so. Starting with ambience it is very welcoming and warm. We made a reservation as it was father's day and had no issues with sitting right away when we got there. Service was good as well. The pricing was pretty high: $40 for their house-vacio and $60 for the larger size. Mine was more rare than I requested which at a steak place is a major ding. Came back here for a birthday meal and my uncle wanted to try it all and let me tell you...ALL OF IT WAS GOOD, even the meats I was iffy about (personal preference only). We got the meat sampler that had a little bit of everything so we got to try everything. All of the meat was perfectly cooked and the sides and appetizers we got were so rich in flavor but not overpowering. It was a delicious meat fest and it easily could feed a party of 5 or 6 in my opinion....unless you're hangry ;) It also looks like they remodeled the place a bit and the seating and layout look very nice. This place is delicious, fresh & the staff are super nice! I always get their empanadas which they have about 15-20 types to choose from either baked or fried (your choice). So far I have had the Mediterranean, Classic Argentinian,,Alma,,Bomba w/ Chz,,Spinach & Chz,,Pizza,,Caprese,,Nutella. I've tried both baked & fried and both are good. I tend to side with baked but for the Nutella fried. My friend's favorite and apparently the staff's too is the Mediterranean. My favorites are the Caprese & Classic Argentinian. They have spicy chimichurri & a regular chimichurri that you can request on the side and it's also so fresh & delicious! If they make a mistake or something isn't up to your & their standards show them and they will more than make it up to you!!! Food was tasty. We all ordered something different so we could taste it. We ordered the empanadas as an app and they were the best empanadas we ever had! The milanesa is like a schnitzel and absolutely delicious, but word to the wise they are HUGE! The service was good until our food came out and then the server ignored us the rest of the meal. I made eye contact with several times and she looked away. We finally wanted our check and a box and flagged down another server to get the check. We wanted to order dessert but decided if they aren't attentive enough to find out we weren't going to stay. She brought us the check and the amount was incorrect as we were charged for 2 bottles of wine instead of two glasses. While the amount was corrected, it shouldn't have been placed there in the first place. Additionally the receipt couldn't be printed and I still questioned the amount of the bill after the wine had been fixed. The bill was $137 and that's only ordering an appetizer, two glasses of wine and beer in addition to our entrees. To me that is a high price for schnitzel. The food is really good, the atmosphere is really quiet with large screened TVs showing European cities, the service and the total amount of the bill leaves something to be desired. read more

Being Argentinian when I first moved to Orlando I was in search for a spot I can go to and have some GOOD food. I have been here twice before and can say this is the place I choose to come to for Argentinian food. The people working have always been super nice and very attentive. It's a rather small spot but a good amount of table to eat. I do know they will host certain soccer games there which is cool. The parrilla was pretty good. I personally ordered the house steak with fries and a side of chimichurri and it was delicious. The steak was perfectly cooked and seasoned and the fries were the perfect crunchy to soggy ratio lol. My group also ordered the parradilla for 1, but two people ate from it and it was a good portion size. My only minor gripe is that they brought us our fries like 5-10 min before they brought us the entrees. So I watch Guga Foods and I have been dying to try picanha (or pichana) steak. So after reading the reviews I had to try Alma. The ambiance is just a small restaurant/carryout in a strip mall with proper decor, nothing fancy. Probably the Italian equivalent would be a pizza diner with a takeout. Now understand this was trying a culinary that I have not or don't recall trying prior so this was new to the wife and I other than places like TexDeBrazil and similar. First we started with a mix of empanadas for an appetizer. And, though I don't like vegie's in my food, the fried empanadas were awesome and got two thumbs up from the wife and said we would be back for more. The three we tried was the Portena Picante (was our favorite), the classic chicken, and the ossobuco and chorizo. The crust was amazing. I want to try the ham and cheese, the three cheese, and the pizza empanadas next. The pichana steak was good and had a heavy charred flavor which was nice. We also got the parrillada medium to try a sampling of their meats. I'm sure all was cooked to perfection. Some meats were a little tougher and the wife liked from her childhood the beef intestine which tasted fine but the consistency was a bit strange to me. Neither of us really could do more than a bite of the blood sausage (morcilla) as it was too different for our palates. That's not to say any of it was bad by the plate's standard. We were trying things we never have tried before. We did notice that Argentinian grill is very much grilling with no seasoning. It is the flavor of the meat an that is it. So I did add some tobasco sauce to some of the meat I sampled. But it was a great experience and the staff were friendly. And by the people in there speaking Spanish I would guess that they felt the food is cooked to their expectation as well. Something to try for sure. And we will be back for more empanadas at the least. Definitely a culinary adventure. read more

The service is bilingual, friendly, and happy to be there! The food comes out made to order, hot, and reasonably priced for the portions. My husband and I chose the empanada combo. The classic Argentinian- beef- and chicken both have olives, onion, herbs, red and green peppers, and hard boiled egg, Mediterranean strong lemon flavor, onions and tomatoes, The Porteño picante- not so picante with cayenne pepper flakes. Also the classic chicken is also very good and my favorite. . The crust is amazing, highly recommend them fried. Everyone in the restaurant seems happy with their food which indicates to me that the place offers really authentic Argentine cuisine. We will be back. read more

Came here on accident was trying to get ramen and they where closed and as we were leaving the parking lot we saw this place and thought to ourselves have we ever had Argentinian food? Nope! I didn't know there were any Argentinian restaurants in Orlando so my husband and I decided to go after 15 minutes of seeing that comment and it was the greatest decision. The restaurant is on small side but feels very cozy. The service was great and the food was delicious! We ordered a milanesa napolitana with a caprese salad on the side and 2 baked empanadas (pilly cheesesteak and caprese) Both delicious. For dessert we ordered chocotorta and flan with dulce de leche. I think we will stop there for a snack frequently. They offer Milanese , and breakfast options. Alma Argentina is a quaint and cozy food spot with a great array of options to eat. I walked in for a late lunch and am solely an English speaker. The owners are very kind and hospitable, but struggle with English. However, their staff and the menu is easy to navigate for my fellow English speakers. I got the lunch special with 2 x spicy beef empanadas, a apple empanada, side of fries and a drink. They also served me some sides of chimichurri which was fantastic! They even threw in a free dessert Nutella Oreo empanada. I would highly recommend trying this spot out!
