I am leaving this review, because I don't want anyone else to ever experience the treatment I received from Laura Carter the director of this facility. Going through a divorce is already extremely hard as it is. I only encountered this woman one time in person. I was invited to a Mom n Muffins event for Mothers Day back in 2022. I waited until someone was able to grab her to give me permission to enter the building. When she saw me she appeared to be in a very bad mood she was not happy to see me. Before I could say anything she said," wait here I'll see if I can get permission for you to be here." I smiled and said ok. She came back and didn't say a word to me just opened the door and lead me to my daughters classroom. Upon leaving I asked her if I could talk to her, and asked her if she had a copy of our current court order. I was shocked with her behavior she was nasty, rude and started telling me she was not going to listen to me talk about my ex husband. At this point I asked her if she could bring someone else in as I didn't like the way she was treating me she said no and continued to talk about Brian. Her behavior then escalated when I firmly said I was not here to talk about Brian and asked her why she was bringing him up? I had to quickly end the conversation because I was shocked with her anger and outburst towards me. I then sent an email to Donna the owner at that time, because I could not believe this woman's behavior. Donna called me and apologized for her behavior and expressed that no parent regardless of the situation should ever be treated this way. And assured me that this would not happen again. However, I later found out that Laura Carter made false statements about my character to our GAL as well and continued with her lies. But, it did not stop there she continued to make up additional lies to our custody evaluator when interviewed of things I "asked" from the staff which are false. I am not sure if she realizes the extend of her lies and how they can greatly affect lives and the damages this has caused to me and the lines of my children. This is absolutely not ok. It is beyond me that someone like this would still be in a leadership position in childcare facility where families place their trust and care on these individuals and who promotes the best interest of the children and families. I hope that no other parent experiences what I have experienced with Laura Carter. I have no idea why she has felt the need to defame my character. And it is my hopes that no other parent should ever experience what I have with this individual. This facility had a camera located inside her office. If the camera has an audio we could see and hear how this woman spoke to me and her awful treatment. I would never recommend any of my Naperville friends and family to this facility not because of the teachers they were all sweet and very kind to me, but because of LAURA CARTER. The owner is horrible! Treats you like trash if you don't prepay for the entire month in advance by the 25th of the previous month. They hold a 2 week deposit and charge you a late fee if tuition is not paid by the 1st. Your child's best interest is not in mind. The teachers are stressed out and its only about the money for the owner. They make you give 30 days notice if you want to pull your child from the school if you don't give them 30 days notice in writing they will charge you for the next entire month! read more

It was an overwhelming experience. It was always a second home to my baby. The concern and the attention the kids get at Goddard is exemplary. Teachers are so down to earth and listen to me very patiently and take very good care of my child. The staff have always been very flexible to my needs and worked so well with me and my children. The Goddard School of Naperville has been very implemental in the development and growth of our 2.5 year old daughter. The staff has always been kind and genuine. They also have been able to help put our minds at ease as we have navigated through this pandemic by ensuring the safety of our child and keeping the health of the kids first. I cannot say enough good things about the Goddard School off of 104th in Naperville. The director (Laura) and owner (Dona) bent over backwards to accommodate both of my children during a very difficult and trying family matter. They always followed up on my emails or phone calls and made very effort to assist as much as they could. The teachers, specifically Ms. Brittany and Ms. Amanda, were truly outstanding. They cared for my daughter as if she were their own. My daughter always left smiling and I could feel the genuine care, warmth, and love every time I dropped off or picked up my daughter. They even did her hair on a very regular basis, which I greatly appreciated! Ms Natty was fantastic as was Ms. Rachel (which my son always wanted to say hello whenever we picked up his sister), as well as some of the other teachers of whom I can't recall their name right now. The only reason we left was due to relocating to another town otherwise both of my children would still be there. Again, I can't say enough about the Goddard School and the experience my kids and I have. It was hard to say goodbye, but I know we will stop in occasionally to say hello and catch up! read more

horrible owners!! rude director (Cindy). My daughter has been at Goddard school for 2 years. I really want to remove her but she is almost done and starting kindergarten this year. We love this Goddard location! We were so nervous enrolling our first born in daycare that we did trial days at three different schools in Naperville. Goddard is the only school my son didn't throw a fit at. I feel very comfortable with the staff. The director, Laura, runs a great school and ensures she only hires the best, which is probably why teacher turnover isn't as much as at other daycare centers. It was fun for my younger child to have the same teachers a few years later. Also, the education this school provides is top notch - my 2nd grader is reading at a 5th grade level. Thanks to Goddard for always keeping my kids safe and providing the best foundation for the rest of their schooling! read more

Also, please be aware that these schools do not teach the correct style of handwriting that your child will need to know if they will be in district 204. Very Frustrating! read more

Horrible management, they're never there to help the teachers when needed. They ignore requests and they're always understaffed. The facility itself is very nice, but the whole place is very unorganized. read more

We loved the Goddard school. My 4 year old went here for preschool and my 6 year old did their before and after school program. Both situations were perfect for us! The communication was great, very flexible. My son learned so much in preschool; including writing! I was very impressed with the school and would highly recommend it! read more

I toured 5 schools in the area before I chose Goddard School for my 3 year old son, Max, and I'm so happy I did. The school is clean, bright, safe, and cheerful, but the staff is what makes the school so magical. Starting with Laura who is warm and friendly and goes out of her way to make the children feel nurtured and happy, to all of the teachers which my child got to know in before/after care. Every single teacher I met was kind, loving, and passionate about teaching the kids and their love for their job was evident every day. The curriculum was amazing. From teaching the kids STEM to fun and creative art projects, to getting them good and tired dancing and doing obstacle courses in the gym and outdoors, my child thrived. They also had guest speakers constantly. My son would excitedly tell me that he learned about safety from police and firemen who brought their vehicles, took a karate and soccer class, to meeting librarians and guide dogs. The educational component was a perfect blend of play and learning. When my son started just after his 3rd birthday, he could count to 20 and in the first 3 months, he was counting to 120, writing his name, spelling words, and learned so many silly songs. He was excited to go to school every day and would run in to go hug his teachers with a sparkle in his eyes. They became family. Special call out to Miss Jill and Miss Jessica. They are fantastic! One of the best schools in the area. The teachers are excellent, the programs are well tailored for the children.

Bad management. A lot of miscommunication between the manager and the owner. I had signed up my child for a week trial period, for which I was ASSURED my card will not be charged at all and that I can pay in full once I decide to sign him up. My card was charged in full that same day, a whole month plus the $150 registration fee, obviously without my conscent. Then I was told that I will be refunded everything, if I decided not to sign him up in the program, at that time. At the end, it did not go well, and I decided to wait for a few months and try again ( my child was there for a total of 6 hrs, one half day and only 2 hrs the next,during which I was there almost the whole time). They did refund the whole month tuition but not the registration fee. There was so much miscommunication that I did not feel good, going back to that place again. I spoke with the ownder, Dona, and reminded her that she, and her manager had assured me that I will be refunded everything, including the registration fee, which was of no use, as she did not even bother to reply to my last email. Needless to say, I will not be back there again. I would rather let go of that $150, and sign my child up someplace else, than go back and deal with more frustration and miscommunication from the management. read more

I have sent both of my children to the Goddard School and I love it! We started at Goddard in Southern Illinois and I was so happy to find the same care and bright, fun environment at the one in Naperville. My son attended this one for almost 4 years, and each teacher he had was amazing, engaged and did an excellent job stimulating him, providing him with a fun environment, encouraging him, and just making each day a great one. My daughter now attends and has been there a little over a year. Again, I have loved her teachers and the attention they give to her needs. I always recommend Goddard to anyone seeking a daycare/preschool/Pre-K facility. And I have to say that I have always been happy with the Director. She truly is connected to the children and has a passion for their well-being. And having that type of leadership furthers my comfort in sending my daughter their each day. It's just nice to send my kids to a place that understands their needs and talents and encourages and enriches them each day. read more

I am not sure what the other person who remarked that there is alot of turnover here but The staff has been here since my son has been going here and that has been a few years. I love love love this school! I searched a number of schools and was unhappy with each one until I found Goddard on 104th. My son was not thriving at the other schools we tried (and I tried a handful) and had to pull him. I decided to check out Goddard. Everyone was very friendly and I liked what I saw upon first arrival! My son who is 4 1/2 is thriving so well, the teachers are so great, personable, and loving! My son tells me what he does everyday with excitement. I love the fact that I get pictures every now and then of what my son is doing that day. I also appreciate the fact that when I have had to drop off my son and he has had a bad morning(which we know all kids have bad mornings), crying and upset that the teachers are right there to help soothe him and also they send me a picture later of him on my phone telling me that he is doing so much better. It actually helped get me through my day as I felt terrible leaving him while he was still upset. Thank you Goddard from this mom who loves how you treat and teach my lil man! read more
