Pancakes. Eggs. Green Chile. Sally's (upper right). Hot Tea and Hot Chocolate. 2 thumbs up! YUMMY!!

THE GOLDEN DINER in the city of Golden! I believe this restaurant is truly deserving of more stars. We were visiting from Nevada on a Saturday morning, and based on our experience, the service, food, ambiance...5 stars! I ordered a Blueberry pancake, two eggs, and the Green Chili sauce. The star of this show was most certainly the Green Chili sauce. I slathered this all over my eggs and it made my eyes roll back lol. Actually, everything was perfectly delicious! My +1 ordered the Sally's entree and agreed the Green Chili sauce, which already came with his meal, pulled everything together. It's made with bits of shredded pork and is a delight. I wish I remembered our server's name, but she greeted us with a smile and checked up on us often. Very friendly and efficient! There is a main dining area, but we were seated in the corner which made for a nice and quiet, dining experience, with a view through the glass doors. The dog paintings were a nice touch, especially since this cafe is situated in Golden...known for the annual Golden Retriever event in February. *Stay Golden!*

Round Up, avocado toast with mimosas

Don't walk but run to The Golden Diner in the beautiful city of Golden. This diner has all the classics and fresh fun new additions to meet everyone's tastes. My husband ordered the Round Up and he was in love with the pancakes. Extra fluffy and delicious sweet syrup to soak in all the flavor. I ordered the avocado toast which was so fresh, clean, savory with the bacon bits sprinkle across my perfectly poached eggs. Runny and bright yellow with extra crispy hash browns. The perfect combination of healthy and savory breakfast. The mimosas were excellent and wonderful presentation for an elevated feel. Our waitress was so sweet and excited for us to join them. Highly recommend this place and super quick service

Came here post-hike with the girls for brunch. Weirdly- several of our options in Golden were closed on Sunday. Pro tip- the parking garage offers free two hour parking- just be sure to enter your license plate. Even though it was mid-brunch rush, we got a table within 10 minutes (they'd estimated 25 min when my friend put our names down) No host stand- but you go to the cashier desk and they'll seat you. I ordered the breakfast sandwich with sausage. Weirdly - it's two sausage links cut in half, to lay flat between the bread, egg and cheese. Not what I expected... Hashbrowns were delicious! The seasoning and crunch were perfection. I'll probably try something else if we're back. Overall- very friendly and kind staff, and a fair price for sit down brunch in downtown golden

We had a great time at the Golden Diner. We called ahead to get our name on the waiting list which was perfect because it was very packed on Saturday. Our group of 4 enjoyed mimosas and bloody Mary's which were all good. The food was very tasty and very filling! I enjoyed my scrambled omelet with avocado and bacon. This was definitely a great spot to check out. Give yourself some time however due to the wait on a busy day.

Stopped here for breakfast with my niece who lives in Denver. We arrived at 11:00 am on a Sunday morning and they were taking names as the dining area was full. The aroma when you walked in the door reminded me of the diners we grew up with in NY, but with a Colorado vibe. Do have the Chai French toast - we shared that and several other choices, and agreed that it was our favorite. Coffee is served piping hot, waste staff is friendly and accommodating refilling our coffee, cups, and water glasses often. I will visit again if I'm in the area!

Cute diner with delicious comfort food! The portions are HUGE and the price tag doesn't break the bank. Sat at the counter and enjoyed chatting with the friendly servers. Had a bite to eat before we toured the Coors Brewery !

We had such a great experience here. The food was delicious and the place was an iconic diner. Well, with Bloody Mary and mimosas! The green chili was delicious. I got two diner mugs for souvenirs. If I travel back through here I will definitely stop. It was totally worth it!

Excellent spot. Not my first time in, but first time posting a review. The atmosphere is great. Definitely a favorite with the locals. A lot of good conversations taking place between tables. A very community feel. The food was great. I ordered the biscuits and gravy. The biscuits were fluffy and the gravy was tasty. The Bacon was thick and cooked just right. The coffee was tasty and hot. The hash browns were super crispy. A little thicker than most places, a nice touch. The only complaint I could possible come up with, and it is a small one, is that they only have Cholula hot sauce. I am more of a Tobasco guy when it comes to the popular hot sauces. I would highly recommend they look into getting some local hot sauce in house and I would specifically recommed Danny Cash (my favorite). Not enough to knock off a star, but not really a Cholula guy. The waitress was incredibly friendly. I cannot say enough for how nice she was and how good the service was. 5-stars all around! Parking is a bit spotty. Nothing impossible, but there is no lot, so you need to get lucky if you want close in parking. But, it's Golden. You will generally be walking at least a block or two to get anywhere in Golden. You can enjoy the shops along the way, so you could say its a good thing.

Had a wonderfully friendly waitress, food was spot on cooked to order and the restaurant is well spaced between tables and comfy to be in. We will definitely be back soon for another breakfast sandwich (suggest to have the brisket sausage and spinach tomato on it) and blueberry pancake. The coffee had great taste and was always kept on top of by the waitress too.

Lumberjack breakfast with brisket sausage and side of hash.

FOOD WAS SO BOMB I HAD TO COME BACK TWO DAYS IN A ROW. First day was the lumber jack with brisket sausage. I've never had such a filling and tastey breakfast before in my life and I live in LA. Second day was the mountain man burrito, there were so many flavors in the dish, the green chile had a good kick. Service was FAST, sat us down and took our order right away. The vibes are real chill there, art work on the walls is hilarious.

This was our first to the Golden Diner. We've eaten in a number of restaurants in Golden but wanted to try something new and different. My wife ordered the Reuben which was just so -so. Appeared to be made with deli sliced corned beef (lunch meat style corned beef). She upgraded from fries to a side salad for $2.25. The side salad was a nice sized portion. Wife said sandwich was OK but she wouldn't order it again. I ordered the Cuban grilled cheese which was their interpretation of a Cubano. Came with ham, pork, pickles and cheese served on sourdough. It was very good. I would order it again. Service was excellent. Restrooms were reasonably clean. Dining room was clean.

The food was sooo yummy. The service was fast & friendly. We were sat within 10-15min wait on a Saturday morning. ( family of 4). 4 stars because they didn't offer any other creamer for the coffee aside from half&half. The seating was a bit crowded but that's due the popularity I'm sure. Also, the pancakes/french toast didn't come with many plate options so those are ordered separately from $10-14 for a stack. It was good but in the end more costly than anticipated. Would go back maybe every few months.

We just made it a few minutes before the end of happy hour and was able to give the Pork Green Chili Cheese Fries and the Fried Pickles a try. Amazing prices for their happy hour too! We had burgers, the salmon risotto and the steak sandwich. Everything was so tasty. If I had to absolutely nitpick, the fried pickle is the chip style that I love but it was way over seasoned. When the Latina in the group tells you it's too salty, that's telling you something. I tried the pickle on the burger and it was already brined salty, then if you bread that and fry it and then season it... it was unbelievably salty.... Overall the salmon was well cooked, the burgers juicy and the steak sandwich super tender. The bar decor was super pretty and the service amazing.... I would definitely be back and highly recommend to check out their happy hour!

They are also dog-friendly which is a fun feature, but we went on a busy day and there were a bunch of dogs inside and outside, which I have to wonder if so many animals are indoors does this become a food safety issue? I will say our server was very nice, but the food was sub par to say the least. The items we ordered were severely under seasoned. They were quite bland and lacked any depth of flavor. The items on the menu had average prices to them, so there was no sticker shock on that end but, when did restaraunts start charging extra for sides of ranch?! It's not enough to cover your restaraunt costs with the $25 burger I just ordered? This restaraunt is located in a touristy town, so I'm sure they get all the traffic they need, but as a local I will not be back!

They were kind of just fatty pieces of barbecue meat. Still delicious and the sauces were great, but not really what I was hoping for. We ordered cheese curds, which were actually cubes and that is the first time I've ever seen shaped curds. They were pretty good, as was the sausage and mac & cheese, though the cheese sauce was a little thin. My mom had the focaccia grilled cheese, which had awesome flavors in it, but the focaccia itself was super thick. If we could decrease the bread by like half I think this would be an awesome choice. I think the main reason I would go to the Eddy is to hang out on their patio, especially when they have live music. It's a good view of golden in the foothills and its probably a great sunset spot. They also have a lot of good nonalcoholic options which we really appreciated - including nonalcoholic wine, which you don't see very often .
