Came here post-hike with the girls for brunch. Weirdly- several of our options in Golden were closed on Sunday. Pro tip- the parking garage offers free two hour parking- just be sure to enter your license plate. Even though it was mid-brunch rush, we got a table within 10 minutes (they'd estimated 25 min when my friend put our names down) No host stand- but you go to the cashier desk and they'll seat you. I ordered the breakfast sandwich with sausage. Weirdly - it's two sausage links cut in half, to lay flat between the bread, egg and cheese. Not what I expected... Hashbrowns were delicious! The seasoning and crunch were perfection. I'll probably try something else if we're back. Overall- very friendly and kind staff, and a fair price for sit down brunch in downtown golden

Excellent spot. Not my first time in, but first time posting a review. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The atmosphere is great. Definitely a favorite with the locals. A lot of good conversations taking place between tables. A very community feel.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The food was great. I ordered the biscuits and gravy. The biscuits were fluffy and the gravy was tasty. The Bacon was thick and cooked just right. The coffee was tasty and hot. The hash browns were super crispy. A little thicker than most places, a nice touch. The only complaint I could possible come up with, and it is a small one, is that they only have Cholula hot sauce. I am more of a Tobasco guy when it comes to the popular hot sauces. I would highly recommend they look into getting some local hot sauce in house and I would specifically recommed Danny Cash (my favorite). Not enough to knock off a star, but not really a Cholula guy. The waitress was incredibly friendly. I cannot say enough for how nice she was and how good the service was. 5-stars all around! Parking is a bit spotty. Nothing impossible, but there is no lot, so you need to get lucky if you want close in parking. But, it's Golden. You will generally be walking at least a block or two to get anywhere in Golden. You can enjoy the shops along the way, so you could say its a good thing.

We had a great time at the Golden Diner. We called ahead to get our name on the waiting list which was perfect because it was very packed on Saturday. Our group of 4 enjoyed mimosas and bloody Mary's which were all good. The food was very tasty and very filling! I enjoyed my scrambled omelet with avocado and bacon. This was definitely a great spot to check out. Give yourself some time however due to the wait on a busy day.

Don't walk but run to The Golden Diner in the beautiful city of Golden. This diner has all the classics and fresh fun new additions to meet everyone's tastes. My husband ordered the Round Up and he was in love with the pancakes. Extra fluffy and delicious sweet syrup to soak in all the flavor. I ordered the avocado toast which was so fresh, clean, savory with the bacon bits sprinkle across my perfectly poached eggs. Runny and bright yellow with extra crispy hash browns. The perfect combination of healthy and savory breakfast. The mimosas were excellent and wonderful presentation for an elevated feel. Our waitress was so sweet and excited for us to join them. Highly recommend this place and super quick service

Stopped here for breakfast with my niece who lives in Denver. We arrived at 11:00 am on a Sunday morning and they were taking names as the dining area was full. The aroma when you walked in the door reminded me of the diners we grew up with in NY, but with a Colorado vibe. Do have the Chai French toast - we shared that and several other choices, and agreed that it was our favorite. Coffee is served piping hot, waste staff is friendly and accommodating refilling our coffee, cups, and water glasses often. I will visit again if I'm in the area!

We had such a great experience here. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The food was delicious and the place was an iconic diner.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Well, with Bloody Mary and mimosas! The green chili was delicious. I got two diner mugs for souvenirs. If I travel back through here I will definitely stop. It was totally worth it!

The food came out quickly and tasted just like a delicious home-cooked meal. We only waited about 15 minutes for a table, which was well worth it. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The restaurant had a warm, family-friendly atmosphere that made us feel right at home.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We would definitely come back again!

Cute diner with delicious comfort food! The portions are HUGE and the price tag doesn't break the bank. Sat at the counter and enjoyed chatting with the friendly servers. Had a bite to eat before we toured the Coors Brewery !

Had a wonderfully friendly waitress, food was spot on cooked to order and [[HIGHLIGHT]]the restaurant is well spaced between tables and comfy to be in.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We will definitely be back soon for another breakfast sandwich (suggest to have the brisket sausage and spinach tomato on it) and blueberry pancake. The coffee had great taste and was always kept on top of by the waitress too.

FOOD WAS SO BOMB I HAD TO COME BACK TWO DAYS IN A ROW. First day was the lumber jack with brisket sausage. I've never had such a filling and tastey breakfast before in my life and I live in LA. Second day was the mountain man burrito, there were so many flavors in the dish, the green chile had a good kick. Service was FAST, sat us down and took our order right away. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The vibes are real chill there, art work on the walls is hilarious.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

This was our first to the Golden Diner. We've eaten in a number of restaurants in Golden but wanted to try something new and different. My wife ordered the Reuben which was just so -so. Appeared to be made with deli sliced corned beef (lunch meat style corned beef). She upgraded from fries to a side salad for $2.25. The side salad was a nice sized portion. Wife said sandwich was OK but she wouldn't order it again. I ordered the Cuban grilled cheese which was their interpretation of a Cubano. Came with ham, pork, pickles and cheese served on sourdough. It was very good. I would order it again. Service was excellent. Restrooms were reasonably clean. Dining room was clean.

I said it was the best burger I ever ate. My husband, whose hobbies include crushing joy with logic, said, "No it wasn't. It was an ordinary burger. You only think it's amazing because you almost died." Had to settle that debate, so we tried it without the kill-me-hike warmup this time. Food I don't like my burgers swimming in their own juicy filth. And these burgers are dry, juicy, beefy, and didn't almost drown in their own fat. Even the bun (brioche, I think) stayed dry as summer heat. Plus, their fries are that kind that almost seem battered. Crisp on the outside, potato-y on the inside. We also tried the deviled eggs, which was a nice update to an old classic. Atmosphere This is perfectly casual with outdoor dining (great for dogs). Big umbrellas and coverage from the summer sun. I've never eaten inside because why. Service Perfectly competent. Nobody gave us a pony. Nobody accidentally set us on fire. The food arrived quickly, while the check took its own scenic route through the restaurant. Everyone was friendly. No complaints. Value Expensive burgers at $18-22 each. But I only have burgers a few times a year, so when I do, I'm going to demand one of these from now on.

It was great to see how young people (teenagers and early 20 years olds) were working at this local spot. They were also doing an amazing job being attentive. We got the tea of the Tillman drink to soothe our thirst after a hike and the summer heat. It was tart but refreshing. I have never had a drink like it before. I highly recommend trying it.
