Good food, nice atmosphere, pleasant and competent staff, we were in town for two days, and ate there both mornings. From the outside, it doesn't look like a diner, but the food is high-quality diner food. We had the diner plate (biscuits and gravy, hash browns, and eggs), a special (a variation on an eggs Benedict), a scramble with bacon, avocado and Monterey jack (with the unfortunate name B.A.M.J.O.), and the round-up (in my case blueberry pancakes, scrambled eggs, sausage patty). All were good. We also had coffee, Earl Grey tea, a spicy bloody Mary (delicious), and a non-standard mimosa -- the drinks were also good. The atmosphere is convivial - and the staff is efficient. I should also give a shout-out to their use of technology: beepers to notify you when your table is ready (they can get busy during obvious peak times) and mobile payment devices (they take your credit card at the table). read more

Stopped here after checking out the Golden CO area on a work trip for breakfast. Service was great, I sat at the bar and my lady was so sweet, nice and attentive. Sold me on the special Paloma drink which was very refreshing. The food was okay, I landed on the Dude, and the green chile sauce just wasn't what I was expecting-pretty bland and flavorless overall. Since the dish was covered in it, it didn't make my meal super appealing, but everything else, including my eggs, toast and side of bacon were fine. I was also a bit bummed they didn't have the brisket sausage to try. Does look like a fun local spot that is frequented in the area, I just couldn't get behind the green chile sauce of this dish. read more

Came here after we got stuck in the Buffalo Bill Parade. The wait was only around 15 minutes and out waitress was hustling! She did seem rather stressed as it seemed like she was running the show with one other person, I think someone called out that day. The food here was delicious!! I had the Huevos Rancheros, and I still think about them. I have been trying to find a place that does it as good. I would go here more often if I lived in Colorado. Our table also ordered the donuts, and they were wonderful! My sister got the Eggs Benedict and enjoyed them as well. The space was alright, nothing crazy. It had the typical dinner feel, and it was a reasonable size. We were close to other tables, but it wasn't uncomfortable. The waitress was also very nice and attentive! We were visiting from Nevada on a Saturday morning, and based on our experience, the service, food, ambiance...5 stars! I ordered a Blueberry pancake, two eggs, and the Green Chili sauce. The star of this show was most certainly the Green Chili sauce. I slathered this all over my eggs and it made my eyes roll back lol. Actually, everything was perfectly delicious! My +1 ordered the Sally's entree and agreed the Green Chili sauce, which already came with his meal, pulled everything together. It's made with bits of shredded pork and is a delight. I wish I remembered our server's name, but she greeted us with a smile and checked up on us often. Very friendly and efficient! There is a main dining area, but we were seated in the corner which made for a nice and quiet, dining experience, with a view through the glass doors. Came here post-hike with the girls for brunch. Weirdly- several of our options in Golden were closed on Sunday. Pro tip- the parking garage offers free two hour parking- just be sure to enter your license plate. Even though it was mid-brunch rush, we got a table within 10 minutes (they'd estimated 25 min when my friend put our names down) No host stand- but you go to the cashier desk and they'll seat you. I ordered the breakfast sandwich with sausage. Weirdly - it's two sausage links cut in half, to lay flat between the bread, egg and cheese. Not what I expected... Hashbrowns were delicious! A very community feel. The food was great. I ordered the biscuits and gravy. The biscuits were fluffy and the gravy was tasty. The Bacon was thick and cooked just right. The coffee was tasty and hot. The hash browns were super crispy. A little thicker than most places, a nice touch. The only complaint I could possible come up with, and it is a small one, is that they only have Cholula hot sauce. I am more of a Tobasco guy when it comes to the popular hot sauces. I would highly recommend they look into getting some local hot sauce in house and I would specifically recommed Danny Cash (my favorite). Not enough to knock off a star, but not really a Cholula guy. The waitress was incredibly friendly. I cannot say enough for how nice she was and how good the service was. 5-stars all around! Parking is a bit spotty. Nothing impossible, but there is no lot, so you need to get lucky if you want close in parking. But, it's Golden. You will generally be walking at least a block or two to get anywhere in Golden. My husband ordered the Round Up and he was in love with the pancakes. Extra fluffy and delicious sweet syrup to soak in all the flavor. I ordered the avocado toast which was so fresh, clean, savory with the bacon bits sprinkle across my perfectly poached eggs. Runny and bright yellow with extra crispy hash browns. Stopped here for breakfast with my niece who lives in Denver. We arrived at 11:00 am on a Sunday morning and they were taking names as the dining area was full. The aroma when you walked in the door reminded me of the diners we grew up with in NY, but with a Colorado vibe. Do have the Chai French toast - we shared that and several other choices, and agreed that it was our favorite. Appeared to be made with deli sliced corned beef (lunch meat style corned beef). She upgraded from fries to a side salad for $2.25. The side salad was a nice sized portion. Wife said sandwich was OK but she wouldn't order it again. I ordered the Cuban grilled cheese which was their interpretation of a Cubano. Came with ham, pork, pickles and cheese served on sourdough. I was really looking forward to brunch at this downtown spot, but unfortunately, the experience left a lot to be desired. I walked in and sat at the counter, where two waitresses were chatting and completely ignored me. I waited patiently for several minutes before one finally acknowledged me, saying she'd be right with me. Another five minutes passed, and I had to ask for a menu as she walked by--completely ridiculous. What really bothered me was seeing other customers seated after me being helped right away, including a couple and a single gentleman on either side of me. I was polite, well-presented, and cordial throughout, so it's hard not to feel like the delay was intentional. When my meal finally arrived--corned beef and poached eggs--it was actually quite tasty, until I bit into an eggshell that nearly made me gag. My water was filled, but not a third time, in which other waters were filled either side of me. This added to the overall lack of attention. I don't know what the issue was, but I definitely didn't feel welcomed or taken care of, and that's not something I can overlook. Really disappointed with the service here. read more

An old friend came into town and I wanted a relaxing place where we could sit and catch up. I liked the ambiance of a diner because I know the coffee will keep flowing, so we picked this one. Our server, Heather was cool about us camping out at one of her tables. Though the place was busy, she kept our coffee cups full and delivered us a delicious breakfast when we were ready. She was very attentive to our needs. I had the Hobo. It was a different twist on a common breakfast plate. It had scrambled eggs and cheese, onions, green peppers, diced tomatoes and hash brown potatoes. But instead of mixing the eggs with the cheese and vegetables then serving hash browns on the side, the vegetables were mixed together with the hash browns and the scrabbled eggs put on top of that mixture and then cheese on top of the eggs. I usually leave most of my hash browns, but because they were mixed with the vegetables, they complimented the mixture. It was really different, and very tasty! read more

My wife and I cannot say enough good things about this place. We ate here 3 morning in a row we liked it so much. I got the diner breakfast with bacon all three days. It's not a fancy meal by any stretch but it's all cooked perfectly and from scratch. My wife loved the pancakes. The mimosas were great and the double vodka cranberry paired well with the diner breakfast. We are originally from the south where hash browns are a staple. This place has the best hash browns that either one of us have ever eaten including my own. Weekends are busy but you can join the waitlist on Google and it's pretty accurate.
