I dropped my dress off first week of February and 2 weeks later I came to pick it up and it wasn't ready for another few hours. The total for getting my dress hemmed was $80. It was a silk dress, not anything super thick or crazy. I also dry clean my work blazer, which costs about $20 and takes a week to get done. Another place I use to go to on Colonial only charges $8 for dry cleaning. The prices here are definitely higher than the average, almost double. I pay for the convenience because I am walking distance from the tailor, but if you are looking for average prices I would recommend another place.

It is difficult to put into words how incredible of an experience we had at Lynn Fashion & Bridal…read more I bought my wedding dress off the rack at least three sizes too large and was incredibly nervous about getting alterations done so that it would fit perfectly. On top of the extensiveness of the alterations, the fabric of my dress is incredibly delicate and intricate, so I'm sure it was a challenge to work with. Tina and the other staff here are some of the nicest people. She said that they put love into their work, and both my parents and I could not have agreed more. They were kind and attentive and you can tell how much care they put into their work both during measurements and their masterful sewing. Beyond just doing the alterations, Tina made sure my mom and I felt comfortable putting up the bustle for my dress and teaching me how to sit in a chair without pulling on it. Every detail was thought of. We were incredibly impressed. Their work is actual magic! One appointment for measurements and one appointment to try it on and it was an absolute perfect fit. I will absolutely be coming back for any clothing that I need altered in the future.

We had trouble communicating, but I had pinned the dress I needed hemmed and was able to tell her what I needed and when I needed it done. She gave me Ligia's card and said to call her later when she would be in. I got a call from Ligia before I had a chance to call. She said she would be able to get the alterations done the same day, no problem. When I went to pick up the dress I had to wait a few minutes while someone else picked up their clothes. The work they had had done was really fun and unique. It was then that I realized I could ask Ligia to do some custom sewing for me in the future. I'm excited to have a real seamstress so close by! I haven't been back yet, but I'm sure I will be returning soon. My first experience was surprisingly successful.

Then he asked where I did for my "hugs and kisses". I snapped right back at him that I got all the hugs and kisses I needed from my husband and waited to see if he would try to apologize or excuse himself. Nothing! I walked out. Disgusting that I can't even pick up dry cleaning without being sexually harassed. Go anywhere else.
