Overall, I would say it was a great experience for the kids and definitely worth a visit if you've never been to a virtual golf center. The staff was very nice and was able to explain everything for us and I would say my kids had a lot of fun because there was a variety of games that you could do with a soccer ball baseball and a football. The place overall was clean and well kept an interesting, so there was enough virtual screen bays that you could play and it seemed like it was not too busy at this location. I did try using my Groupon at the Clairemont location, but they were packed. We have a fun time. It wasn't too hard to get the hang of this but overall I would say you should use the Groupon and it makes that one hour worth it.

We went there for 60 minute experience. Kids enjoyed a new experience of playing different sports and adults got to enjoy some appetizers and drinks. Food was decent. Kids especially loved the pretzel and service was friendly. It was $60 just for the experience and another $60 for food, drinks, and tip.

First time at this location. Facility appeared new with nice ambiance. We had a group event and took up all three simulators. They had a private room too with two simulators but it was booked. Service was excellent and very accommodating and special thanks to Judy who was our main server who was always enthusiastic in assisting us. Food was typical bar food but had healthy options too. We ordered 10 different items (including three different pizzas) and my favorites that I tried were the #CrunchyGarlicWings #TaterTots #EverythingJumboPretzel the #ChickenBaconSliders looked amazing but I was too full to try. Only thing I didn't like was the #Nachos, The chips and sauce didn't go well together. We were able to bring a cake which they kept refrigerated for us until we were ready and also the wines ($15 corkage fee). They also had an assortment of wine and beers. Great place to sit at the bar too and watch a game, Great place for a group event

Awesome spot! Came here with my office for a fun night of golfing and drinks and it did not disappoint! Pizza was yummy, super nice bartenders, fun games! Would definitely recommend for a fun night that's a little different than your average dive bar.

Sat early eve, 2 of the 5 simulators in use. Quiet shopping center, easy parking and clean. Friendly helpful staff, very attentive. Cool vibe if u like to golf, because u don't lose your balls you can finish game quicker than if on a real course. After about an hour all simulators were in use. Boys had fun, even newbies. You can play other games as well. Great deal if you buy on Clipp or Groupon, 50% off. Food is ok, we bought a pizza and wings, fine to snack on while playing, but we ended up going elsewhere for dinner. Would recommend if you want to practice and hang out with your friends.

Incredible food & drinks at a good price with great hospitality from Chris! With the golf simulators, there is fun for everyone and overall great atmosphere. We will definitely be back soon!

Go see Clint at The Golf Bar. I went in to purchase some gifts certificates for Christmas and received outstanding customer service by Clint. He explained the details, had suggestions and made me want to come. They have food and a bar. Fabulous concept and looking forward to my family opening the gifts. Naomi was very friendly and helpful too!

Cool place for an event. We had 30 people and reserved the back room. It has 2 screens to play. One was the golf and the other had various sports options. The teens had a good time. Plenty of seats. Service was good but food was mediocre. We ordered pizza, buffalo cauliflower and tater tots. Wasn't anything special. This is a cashless bar so make sure you bring only credit cards!

Not sure how much it was for the bucket of balls, since I was the last one of my group to have arrived. I wouldn't mind returning to practice my golf swing, practice makes perfect. My mind was just not in a focused state tonight, but I managed to have a few good swings!! The ONLY small suggestion I have for Stadium Golf Ctr. is to have your range targets be more lit from the back end of the targets so I can have a better view overall!! My group pointed out that I'm actually ambidextrous when it comes to how I hold my putter despite being left-handed. At least this golf center is more economical than "Top Golf" locations.

Starting from low pitch 35mph and work your speed up as you keep practicing. You only pay for the card and how many plays you'd like and they provide the equipment for free ( for batting only ). My son and I celebrated Mother's Day here with a putting practice session, including a bet to increase the enjoyment; it's something we both took pleasure in doing together. All crew were nice, friendly and helpful! Access to the range is easy, lots of parking spaces and the best part is, you can do both ( golf and batting ) activities in one location!

The moment you step into the clubhouse you realize the vast history of the location. For example, some parts are in need of major repair, but there are also nearly 100 years of player trophies and accomplishments on display in a large lobby time has not touched (nor cleaners, painters, renovators...but I digress). Don't miss the unbeatable hilltop views out the back of hole 1 and hole 18 side-by-side with the cityscape in the background. The same view can be seen from the restrooms, giving this place the best view from the loo award. I played the regulation 18 (they also have a nine hole executive course). The course was in good to very good condition. It's a fun, unique track and there are some very narrow holes, but fair enough because they are shorter. Accuracy off the tee is favored over length on most of the holes. There are also a few challenging elevation changes, but not many blind approach shots, which I don't think anyone enjoys. It's a fun track that keeps you on your toes. Many holes are lined by canyons so errant shots on those will be lost. Another unique aspect is that Balboa Park sits under the landing path of the airport. I tried to catch an airplane in my photos and it was pretty easy to in most all of them. Pace of play was fine at 4.5 hours on a weekday afternoon. Staff was friendly, but they deal with a lot of people so I could see how things could go sideways as some reviews have mentioned. Just exercise the golden rule. If you play golf and live in San Diego, I say this is a must play at least once. I'll be back again when I'm in the right mood.

I've always tolerated the usual annoyances, but today's experience was disappointing. I attempted to play the 9-hole course with my girlfriend, who is new to golf. She was mostly coming to walk along with my friend and me, but wanted to hit a few tee and approach shots for practice. We were more than willing to pay for an extra round for her to be more comfortable on a course. The pro shop said this was fine, yet the starter/manager turned us away solely because she didn't have a full set of clubs, stating it is policy. This decision felt arbitrary and is inconsistent with my experiences here. I've repeatedly seen regulars on the 9-hole course play with few clubs, no bags, and dressed poorly without issue, yet she was singled out and denied. She was dressed appropriately, had the clubs she's comfortable with, and the interaction was unnecessarily hostile. While the course is kept in decent shape, the pace of play is always extremely slow, the range is in poor condition, and staff can be hit or miss. Experiences like this make it hard to recommend, especially given all the other issues. To the starter who turned us away: this kind of behavior doesn't grow the game or help the course. She was extremely excited to be included for a round and took the afternoon off of work to make it, which you ruined for some small power trip. This is a budget municipal facility, and if policies are going to be enforced, they should at least be enforced consistently. I've been around golf courses since before I could walk and have played courses around the country, and this was easily the least hospitable interaction I've had with course staff. Do better.

The green fees are $85, but my friend informed me he paid a $25 advance hold fee per person, so make that $110. I doubt one would be able to simply walk on to this course. We booked a few weeks in advance and only had two tee time options. We had an 11:30 start time, but didn't tee off until 11:50 due to a tournament, which was backed up. That said, I was both surprised and annoyed to see they allowed the foursome ahead of us to walk versus take carts. We were held up all day and didn't finish until just before 5 PM (sunset was at 4:45). My only other caution is there are at least two holes which run along heavily trafficked streets, where a lot of construction was also underway. If you're easily distracted by noise, this is probably not the course for you. We saw the cart girl on two occasions. Cold beverages and cold food, only. If you want hot food, you'll have to order before you start, after you finish, or between the 9th and 10th holes. I do not recall seeing any bathrooms on the back 9, so be sure to moderate your drinking or else roll the dice if you can't hold it.
