WORTH THE HYPE! Our group of 7 came in on early Friday evening after our Friday evening yoga session at Be Yoga and Wellness (with Lili, instructor) down the street and we were so glad we ended the night at The Shop. One of our friends came here before, had Gavin as her server and SWORE the best pizza ever was a mushroom and roasted garlic pizza. We quickly got in but I don't recall if my friend made reservations. I'd suggest making them just in case because this place was booked and busy, justifiably. FOOD: We shared 2 salads and 3 pizzas. It was a perfect amount of food for us. We also got a charcuterie board that we devoured before I could snag photos DRINKS: Both co their mocktail options (passion fruit and cucumber) were amazing. A few in our group got beers as well as a gin & juice which they loved. We didn't feel rushed and Gavin, our server was incredibly attentive. I had asked for the bacon/meat on the side for the pizza and when we asked to get the best salad, he already knew to put the bacon bits on the side for the salad too. We came on a weeknight and it wasn't busy at all, so we were welcomed right away and seated outside. It was the perfect evening to sit outdoors, slightly chilly, and the staff immediately turned on the heat lamp for us, which was much appreciated. The service was excellent from start to finish. We were warmly welcomed and consistently checked on throughout our visit without ever feeling rushed. We ordered a deep-dish pizza that we were able to split into two flavors, "the 858" and "Where's the Meat" (which were recommended by our waiter), along with the golden beets and arugula salad and sangria. I'm typically not a fan of deep-dish pizza, but wow, this one completely blew me away. It was extremely delicious, very fresh, and perfectly balanced in flavor. The crust was thick and crunchy, just the way it should be. I am glad we were able to split the pizza into 2 types! The golden beets and arugula salad was light, refreshing, and very tasty, and the sangria was yummy as well. Overall, I highly recommend this spot. Updating my review to 5 stars for the consistently good experience! Pizza is delicious and special. Fresh ingredients, strong tomato flavor, a good balance of cheese, what more is there to ask for? Not what you can get from just any pizza place, especially the deep dish. The restaurant wasn't crowded even on the weekend. The place is spacious and the music isn't too noisy so my party could actually chat. The pizza didn't take an outrageously long time to come out. And the waiter was very friendly and personable. Delicious pizza in RB! The place is well organized and fancy but not too fancy. This could be a nice date spot or family pizza night. They have a big bar and good bartenders. We tried the deep dish pizza where we were able to order half-half (North County and Where's the Meat?). It was definitely an interesting flavor and I found the crust unique (seems to have some corn?) - I like the North County better as it felt more balanced, but overall they were not that heavy and easier to eat than some other pizzas. I would definitely again especially given the great customer service - we had our dog with us and they were willing to turn on the heater just for us two as we were the only ones sitting outside. They were very friendly and helpful as well, including giving a water bowl to my dog. Unfortunately there's no dog menu and all their meats are pre-marinated, but otherwise my dog was quite comfortable! Thanks again! read more

We went as a party of 18 including 11 children ; this was coordinated a week before and refined on the day of, including starters ready in the tables when we arrive and the number of guest. Our sitting arrangement was perfect on the quiet front patio where you forget you are in a strip mall. The patio heaters took away the cold damp air and it was super pleasant. Our waiter deserved a gold medal for his warmth , kindness, stamina and overall perfect service for a group this size who then moved on to ordering individual drinks and entrees. Our grand total was just over $80 per person which is very reasonable considering the quality and amount of food ordered. Highly recommended. Ordered some last minute dinner for pick up and this place did not disappoint. My cousin and I got the flat bread style pizza and the flavors were so rich! We also got the bruschetta toast and it was so delicious that I decided to buy the ingredients to be able to make at home and eat whenever. It has outdoor and indoor seating, very casual decorations, clean and tidy. Ordered house made meatball-- good texture and sauce, Beet salad and small size deep dish pizza to share - definitely generous portion. The salad is good, if add more beets will make it better considering heavy sauce in it. The deep dish pizza is yummy. Love the cheese in the pizza very much, but the crust is really hard ( over baked). The salty part and hard crust takes one star away -- sorry. The service is great! read more

Impressive cocktail/spirits menu and the cocktails we got were pretty tasty. The squash soup special was very nice and a big creamy bowl. The deep dish and normal pizzas were quite large with tasty ingredients. The big issue was that we had to wait quite a while for our food and when it came out one of the 2 pizzas we ordered was the wrong one. They apologized profusely and took the pizza off our bill, which was very nice, but we did have to wait a while for the new, correct pizza to come out. read more

A great spot for fancy pizza. The 858 is my go to. Their honey roasted rainbow carrots are delicious too! With patio dining as an option and a clean inside, you have to dine here for sure but if you just take it home that's a good option as well. Just wish they had a kids meal option and another TV. They've done a lot more with the place than the Chinese place that was here before them. The exterior patio is nice. I was here when this mall was built. I never thought I'd see the day this was turned into a patio. The guys are nice, very knowledgeable and friendly ( despite the T-shirt that said "Anti-Social Club". I don't blame him at all, I should get one. ) The deepdish pizza was 90% tomatoes and I think three pepperoni slices were in there somewhere. I'm exaggerating a bit, but not much. Eating the leftovers at home as I write this and I finally dug into a slice that had most of the pepperoni in it. My litmus test for a pizza is did it give me heartburn, did it keep me up all night, and so on. This was a good pizza, nothing about it was greasy it was very tame. On that same token, the crust was weird. I mean, it wasn't greasy, but it was... Not memorable. I'm not sure what it was made out of. It wasn't bad, it just wasn't something you return for. Still, the litmus test was "did it make me sick" and it did not. Honestly I'm kind of burnt out on hipster pizza joints and breweries everywhere. I don't hate them, I just don't understand the attraction. If you're young or extremely social, this is the place for you. read more

Our party of 13 was looking for a place nearby for dinner. One of the parties recommended this place since there is a large outdoor patio and that the food was great. We ended coming in on a Friday night at 8pm. We were lucky to snag the outdoor patio area which had several heaters. The staff was gracious to accommodate us and to take our large order. They were able to split the checks for us which was nice. We ordered the Burrata salad as an appetizer and then 2 large pepperoni pizzas to share. Our total came out to be about $75 along with an alcohol beverage. Our order did take awhile for it to come out. Everyone's appetizers and pizzas weee out and we still hadn't reviewed our salad. We had to ask when our pizza were on their way since it was getting late and the kids were hungry. Overall the food was good. The pizza was a bit greasy so dab with napkins. We had the 858, a pie with spinach, ricotta, mushrooms, garlic and onion. It was delicious and plentiful and a small was plenty for two people. Stopped here for a date night and only got drinks at the bar. I ordered a vodka soda water (FYI they charge $1.50 for soda water...never heard of such a thing!!) my drink was fine otherwise, I was just shocked about the charge. My partner got a speciality drink that had sweetness and tartness but tasted only like juice hardly any alcohol despite it saying it should have coconut rum and another alcohol in it. She was super disappointed about that. Although the ambiance was lovely, we weren't super stoked overall. Perhaps there food is better?
