Friendly spot with great bartenders. It's located smack in the middle of Mira Mesa in the only bowling alley in the area

A group of friends and I ventured in, one Saturday night in June for a few drinks and some good clean fun. We were all shocked to find the parking lot packed! We all kind of agreed that it had been at least four years since any of us had been to the venue. Brewski's got a makeover! More games. Refillable "token" cards. Loads of tables and chairs and a large patio. The bar was redone as well and took up the main long wall of the bar. It is now a cool arcade bar. The bartenders were quick and efficient. They made really good cocktails and even suggested a few. Loved the token cards. They were easy to fill and even worked on the jukebox so that's where all of my money went. I love jukeboxes!!! There were several large parties in the bar when we arrived but it was still easy to get around and find something to play. We had a great time and already made plans to go back for another group outing. Brewski's, you've outdone yourself!

The wings weren't dripping with the sauce, just coated, which is exactly how I like my wings. Great sauce to wing ratio!!! The ranch is even the "good" ranch, if you know want I mean. Also had the potato skins and they were the right proportion of potato to cheese to bacon. Top tier. And to top it all off, the staff there is ON POINT. Sweetest women working today. I wish we didn't live 20 minutes away or this would be our new spot.

Next, you can't just order a drink at the bar, but instead there's a line stretching from the middle of the bar back towards the door where you need to queue up somehow and order drinks or food. Nope, not interested in doing that. In sum it's lit and laid out like a Chuck-E-Cheese where there are no dark, quiet nooks to enjoy or any space for at the bar interactions. Instead, there's lots of light and noise from all the competing on screen games and no chance of getting a quick drink unless you want to stand in a dubious line. Not my cuppa tea.

I came here again last night with friends and began to check in for our reservation with the bartender (the same bartender who had let me in the last time I was here). He spent a long time inspecting my CA REAL ID before going into the back. He returned and said he can't let me in since he doesn't trust my ID. He said store policy is that they have to be able to feel the imprint on your license's signature, which even he admitted that he could, but it was too faded so he wouldn't let me in. I showed him matching credit cards, Costco membership, and CA DMV mobile drivers license, but he still refused and pleaded ignorance. He gave me my driver's license back and said I'm lucky because he normally keeps fakes (thanks for the empty threat). In reality, he knew my license was legitimate and didn't want to have the cops called on him. This place really needs to update their policies and train their staff better on how to identify legitimate IDs. I'm definitely not gong to bother coming here again and will make sure I recommend others not to come here.

"A Sheep in Wolf's Clothing."…read more Located in the Westfield UTC mall, Raised By Wolves appears from the front as a medicinal shop or apothecary, but as you enter you come to realize there is more than meets the eye. The shelves are lined with a wide selection of liquors and spirits and everything is tastefully placed. There is even a fun little gimmick: a secret revolving platform that takes you into the main bar. The bar features a beautiful central fountain space with the tables organized along the edges of the room. The room is dimly lit for an intimate mood, but it makes it really hard to see things in my opinion. Unfortunately this is where the curtains are drawn and we find it was a sheep masquerading as a wolf all along. Their cocktail menu was extensive. The drinks had clever names and interesting flavors, but none of them really wowed. The whiskey menu was one of their strengths, featuring a good selection of American, Japanese, and Scotch whiskeys. The service was excellent; our server was super helpful and very knowledgeable of the entire menu. Overall, RBW's strength is in their presentation and vibe, but falls a bit flat when it comes to flavor.

Plus several bonuses for me is I don't have to cook or clean. Besides being generous we have come here several times because the food is good, service is great and they offer good deals. On the most recent visit we decided to come because of the fundraiser. We ordered a variety of pizza slices (margherita, pesto with sun‑dried tomato and pine nuts, and a white pizza with spinach and caramelized onions), plus a fried calamari appetizer. The crust on each slice was thin and crisp, the toppings were fresh and flavorful, and the calamari was perfectly crispy and came with both marinara and aioli dipping sauces. I don't know about you but my kids just want to eat cheese pizza. So this a great way for parent to try different pizzas. You can order premade slices and get it reheated or order whole pizzas. Service was friendly, and the dining space was clean. There are a few indoor seating and more outside seating. Prices were reasonable for the quality and portion size. Overall, this is a solid spot for a casual meal that supports a good cause.
