Friendly spot with great bartenders. It's located smack in the middle of Mira Mesa in the only bowling alley in the area

I took videos, but I accidentally deleted them so, you guys will just have to take my word for it lol. The wings came out hot and so flavorful. They were a good size as well. Not those tiny ones like mainstream wing places. it's a nice little dive bar that all the locals go to. i've passed by the spot many times, but an Instagram video made me want to come here and try the wings. The wings did not disappoint. Very flavorful. Staff was very pleasant and nice and attentive. However, the wait time for the wings was pretty long. that's the only reason why I give it four stars out of five. When I went, they were not that busy at all and it looks like most of the customers already had their food. Unsure why it took so long, but it is what it is. If I'm in the area and craving wings, I'd return to eat here.

I'm a dive bar fan but this spot was not what I expected. First the bar itself is tiny with almost…read moreno seating - instead the place is a huge, heavily lit space filled with lots of tables like a full on restaurant. Next, you can't just order a drink at the bar, but instead there's a line stretching from the middle of the bar back towards the door where you need to queue up somehow and order drinks or food. Nope, not interested in doing that. In sum it's lit and laid out like a Chuck-E-Cheese where there are no dark, quiet nooks to enjoy or any space for at the bar interactions. Instead, there's lots of light and noise from all the competing on screen games and no chance of getting a quick drink unless you want to stand in a dubious line. Not my cuppa tea.

Cha Cha Wings- might be my new favorite, right up there with Tom Cat Signature. Not as spicy as Buffalo, but more complex.

I came here again last night with friends and began to check in for our reservation with the bartender (the same bartender who had let me in the last time I was here). He spent a long time inspecting my CA REAL ID before going into the back. He returned and said he can't let me in since he doesn't trust my ID. He said store policy is that they have to be able to feel the imprint on your license's signature, which even he admitted that he could, but it was too faded so he wouldn't let me in. I showed him matching credit cards, Costco membership, and CA DMV mobile drivers license, but he still refused and pleaded ignorance. He gave me my driver's license back and said I'm lucky because he normally keeps fakes (thanks for the empty threat). In reality, he knew my license was legitimate and didn't want to have the cops called on him. This place really needs to update their policies and train their staff better on how to identify legitimate IDs. I'm definitely not gong to bother coming here again and will make sure I recommend others not to come here.

If you haven't visited Cutwater Spirits, what are you waiting for. This place is a must stop,…read moreespecially if you enjoy your cocktails. The ambiance is an entire atmosphere. From decor, to seating, to the outdoors patio seating, it's great. They have a full bar with seating. They take reservations but, depending of the size of your party, there's automatic gratuity. They have viewing tours here and a full purchase area for all their cocktails. The service we received was 5 stars. We were a party of 15 and they were so tentative. They would bring cups of ice with our canned drinks, we didn't have to wait long after ordering, etc. the staff that assisted us needs to be recognized. All the employees working Friday late afternoon who tend the left corner in the front - kudos! We stuck to the cans because we went for happy hour. During happy hour cans are only $5 and their Ssignature cocktail drinks are only $10 instead of $15. Their Happy Hour appetizer menu is great too. The bulgogi loaded fries are sweet with some heat from the aioli. I do wish the meat were chunks like the original bulgogi instead of slow cooked braised beef that's shredded up. I would also ask for the sauce on the side because it can be a bit much if they put too much. The bbq pork sliders were yummy. The bread was soft, the meat had a subtle sweetness, and the coleslaw added a nice bright freshness to the heaviness of the meat. I only wish there was more slaw on them. The habanero buffalo wings were some of the best wings I've have. They were crispy, the meat was seasoned and not just sauce, and the buffalo sauce was chefs kiss. They are spicy so if you don't do spice definitely get another flavor. If you love visiting breweries or just want to try a new place out you have to come to Cutwater. It's amazing and I can't wait to go again

This business is really generous for fundraisers. It offers one of the highest donation percentages…read morethat I've seen a food establishment offers at 35% so you can feel good knowing a portion of your meal goes back to the community. Plus several bonuses for me is I don't have to cook or clean. Besides being generous we have come here several times because the food is good, service is great and they offer good deals. On the most recent visit we decided to come because of the fundraiser. We ordered a variety of pizza slices (margherita, pesto with sun‑dried tomato and pine nuts, and a white pizza with spinach and caramelized onions), plus a fried calamari appetizer. The crust on each slice was thin and crisp, the toppings were fresh and flavorful, and the calamari was perfectly crispy and came with both marinara and aioli dipping sauces. I don't know about you but my kids just want to eat cheese pizza. So this a great way for parent to try different pizzas. You can order premade slices and get it reheated or order whole pizzas. Service was friendly, and the dining space was clean. There are a few indoor seating and more outside seating. Prices were reasonable for the quality and portion size. Overall, this is a solid spot for a casual meal that supports a good cause.
