My husband bought a pair of arch support in California about 2.5 months ago. Initially, he felt better. However, after two months, his pain in his foot, knee, and hip worsened. Since we live half of the time in Reno, NV, and the three-month exchange period was approaching, we decided to call the Reno store. We spoke to Stefan, and I explained that we purchased the arch support in California and that my husband's pain had gotten worse. Stefan spoke to my husband, who confirmed that the pain was indeed worsening. Stefan informed my husband that they were the same corporation but owned by different individuals. We asked Stefan if we could come in to see if he could help us with this problem. Stefan agreed and said he would be there. When we arrived, I must say that Stefan was excellent. He explained every detail to us and exchanged the arch support for a different pair. I've always purchased a pair of arch support in 2012, and I showed them to Stefan. I wonder how many people realize they are about to spend $2,000 on 4 plastic inserts and some socks? Of course there's more to it than that. Its a process they go through and so far my wife says its worth every penny. But they are pre made inserts from a box in the back. My opinion is that they are about $1,500 more than they should be. Why would they say they do prosthetics when they don't go anywhere near them? And my son went down there to check his shoes. They wanted to charge him $2500.00 plus just to pad his shoes. They have you stand and then pull you over, and then put you on their off the shelf insert and then try to pull you over again. Kind of a parlor trick. I walked into the good feet one day with no idea what I would discover. I met JOE, who was absolutely awesome! He spent a lot of time with me going over my activities my walking abilities, my personal strengths and weaknesses. He helped put together a great plan and my feet have never felt better! I know most people probably only get one pair of orthotics, but I felt buying the whole system would be beneficial! This way all my shoes have orthotics in them. just wanted to give a shout out to the good feet store and the very caring workers that I have encountered -Joe & Ryan being the most recent. I have three different inserts all that have a different job. One is for my slippers, the relaxers, then maintainers and strengtheners. They were pricey to begin with, but they do everything they can to help you, including offering care credit, so I was able to pay for them interest free and they do have a lifetime warranty so I have been in many times swapping them out as I have different needs or if they are starting to flatten. They also sell shoes and to be honest I had strayed away from the Brooks brand that they sell but have ended up back there when I was having problems with shoes that were for my supination and gave me the support I needed. My mom and I have seen the commercials and the radio ads to this store and thought how cool would it be to go here and see what they said about our feet and educate us. We'll, My mom went into this store (on her lunch break) in hopes to get some shoes and troubleshoot her feet. The owner/manager (forgot his name) was short with her and didn't even want to listen to what she had to say. She left in tears. As soon as she returned back to work she told me what happened I called the store. A man picked up and I asked if he was the manager and he said yes. I let him know what happened and he didn't apologize or anything. I asked him to check his camera and let him know what she was wearing so he can talk to the sales person who assisted her. The same man called me back right away and said it was him and I couldn't believe it. I again confirmed he was the manager and he was. I purchased a couple pair of arch supports 10-11 years ago at this store. One main set and a thinner set for my running shoes. An airline lost my luggage recently and the thinner set of supports was in that bag. I went in to get a replacement set. Not only was I greeted right away (and they had several customers they were working with), but I was treated like a King! One fella brought over an electric foot-massager machine for my feet while I waited. They rechecked my feet and they have changed just a bit in the last decade, so I left with a new pair of both pair of supports for a very reasonable price all things considered. I've previously been very pleased with Good Feet products and am sure these will last me a long, long time, just like the others did. I note a couple poor reviews among all the good ones below. Very knowledgeable people in regards to arch support, strengthening and maintaining your feet. The gentleman working today was very nice and very forthcoming with giving information. The shoe inserts are a bit pricey but I am sure that with the proper inserts and support it probably makes your feet feel amazing. He recommended Brooks athletic shoes which I will have to do more research on but it was nice knowing that a couple of shoe stores that specialize in foot support recommended this brand. To start, I don't think I've ever left a Yelp review. Maybe once or twice, but I never really find it that necessary, but all of the reviews about how expensive the Good Feet Store is, blew my mind. I have been working out consistently since the beginning of last year, and the whole time, I've had to do modifications because something has been seriously wrong with my knee. I have gone to get X-rays and MRIs with every doctor telling me "just lose weight. Nothing is wrong." That's what I have been TRYING to do, so you can understand my frustration when that's the only thing they have to say to me other than trying to help me with my current knee pain. It wasn't until I found a great doctor who actually listened to my complaints and asked me how I WALK. My ankles have ALWAYS turned in when I walk. My whole life. To the point where it wears down my shoes only on the inside and my feet are left dipping in even further. My doctor told me he believed I had tendinitis due to the way I walked. He said he believed that it was making it to where my entire leg was misaligned and recommended better shoes. I have never had luck with finding actual shoes that work for me, so I decided to look into inserts instead. When I walked in, they were able to take prints of my feet and bring out different inserts right away. When I tell you that is the BEST my knee has felt in over a year, I am not lying. And it was instantaneous! I decided to go with an arch support that was a bit higher than they recommended to start with just because it was the one that made my knee feel the best. I have been wearing my inserts around the house and out in public and cannot express enough how much relief I feel. As for the gym? I got to try them out for the first time last night and cried when I could do a full squat, with great depth, and not feel pain in my knee at all. I did find out how weak my leg has gotten because those squats kicked by butt! But I'm so so so excited to be able to regain my strength and give it my all in the gym. Yes, they are around $400, BUT I spent well over that trying to figure out what was wrong with me and not having competent doctors think to look at the way I walk. Not to mention, that is the initial cost and then it's a lifetime warranty with new pairs being around $20 when you have to trade them in due to breaking down. If I'm honest, if any of us are honest, $899 is more than I want to spend on my feet. But let me clarify that this is an expense that is worth it for an incalculable number of reasons. The staff at The Good Feet Store are knowledgeable and helpful, and the afternoon I spent there was a friendly and informative time. I was previously under the impression that they took a form of your feet and made a custom insole from scratch that had to be ordered. This is not the case, although I'm not sure if it used to be. Stephan walked into the back room and came back immediately with three sets of prefab insoles to match the shape of my feet. They were the strengtheners, maintainers and relaxers, a three part system. At any time, I can exchange one set for another type, or get refitted for a different shape if needed. Fortunately I was able to set up financing, which I think is a relatively new thing through something called CareCredit. So I get 18 months same as cash, after which the interest rate goes up to CRAZY, but I should have no problem paying it off on time, especially since the insoles are what's helping me stay on my feet fora full-time job. So, to give you an idea what to expect, the first day I was able to wear the strengtheners a couple of hours, then switched to the maintainers. After a couple of hours I switched back to the strengtheners, and again at my next break switched to the maintainers. I work in a very, VERY hot environment, and my feet sweat profusely there, so airing out my socks and feet seemed to help a lot, and by the end of the second day my feet were really loving the maintainers. The third day, I was able to wear the strengtheners for the first 5 hours of my shift, then switched to maintainers for the rest of the day. I'd also figured out that putting some Gold Bond baby powder in my socks helped a lot with the moisture and let me really focus on the comfort of the insoles. By the end of the day, my feet had really settled in and, despite being sore from a long day at work, they were a whole lot better. The only setback I really experienced was that the relaxers initially didn't work with my slippers. I wear Haflinger slippers, which are very firm with cork footbeds and boiled wool uppers. The first relaxers I tried were not a good fit for these slippers at all, and made my feet ache and messed up my balance. No problem! I took them right back to the store and Stephan hooked me up with a different set that seems to fit my slippers like they were made for them! A perfect fit, and I thought nothing could make these slippers more comfortable than they already were. I'm confident that their service and product make this very expensive purchase worth it on innumerable levels. I'll have less feet and back problems, I'll be able to hold onto a hard-working job, and I'll have more quality time with my family because I'll feel better. Plus the ability to change the insoles when they break down, or when my body changes, that kind of peace of mind is very comforting. Everything worked exactly as stated. Mom and I came up from California to check out this store , was going to spend around 200ish but it ended up being around 1,000$ just for some pre-made arch support sets.... they really pushed Care Credit Hard (You can afford 58$ a month can't you?) not for arches that we have never tried , we also were told these arches will "CURE" Planters fasciitis, but you can't cure it, you can only Alleviate the symptoms..... It's unfortunate that they claim to have such a very good solution but it comes at such a high costs that it's just out of reach for a lot of us normal people. read more

I've had my Good Feet inserts for a few years. I wore them while hiking 250 miles on the Pacific Crest Trail last month. Over the time that I've had them and from the abuse of the trail, they were starting to flatten out some. I went to the Reno store and spoke with Ryan. He checked the fit of my inserts, did the ink pad test, then replaced them under the warranty policy. Ryan also helped my son with his inserts, so we both walked out of the store with new support for our feet. I recommend good feet and the Reno store. I spent $299.00 on a pair of "Mid-Flex Maintainer" arch supports several months ago. I admit it was an impulse buy. My feet had been hurting for awhile and I was passing by a Good Feet store. Although I was amazed at the high price, I decided to spend the money after the salesperson convinced me my pain would soon vanish. Well it didn't. Today I consulted a podiatrist who told me 2 things: 1- The "arch supports" do nothing to help my problem (a bone spur). 2- The "arch supports" cost about $6 to make. Like another customer I spent $299 on arch supports that were uncomfortable and did not work ... these supports are not custom and if your feet (left and right) are not identical they cannot work. So disappointed that my wife, whom has gone to the Good Feet Store for not only herself, but for our son, would be turned down for any kind of discount re-purchase today. She had a replacement pair given once due a lifetime warranty. The arch had fallen or something. Our son has had great relief also. Today, my wife went in an admitted that our puppy pulled her orthotics out and went on a slight chewing rampage. My wife, the honest soul she is, told the story and was told that puppy chewing was not covered by warranty. She could have complained about the fallen arch and discomfort and need for replacement under warranty conditions, but she was honest--the puppy did commit an orthotic crime. The actual cost is low, retail is about 3000% marked up, or, to be fair, significantly increased. There are pre-fabed options, these are not made to the cast of an individuals foot. The price has increased from when my wife went in originally, which I encouraged since she has referred not only our son (which we paid that crazy price) but she has referred countless friends. Since they have recently increased their already heavy cost by $50, she was offered a discount of $50. Really. They were $350 before, now $399. A look at the website shows what a good franchise opportunity this is, and the small square footage, low overhead, and handful of just the right fit is all that needs to be in stock. For $120K, one could have a good arch support business. It seems an accidental mishap should enable a discount, particularly to a customer who has been there a few times. My wife expected a $200 investment in replacement, asking for some discount, accepting responsbilty for the puppy fiasco. She was told it would be the full price. I have no questions, off to a pediatrist we go. $20 seems a it would be a Better Feet Store option. An orthotic mishap option may actually help the business since there are likely customers whom do not return because they do not fall within the guidelines for replacement by warranty. Even a 50% discount for a mishap clause on the warranty could only be good for business. I would stay away from the Reno Good Feet Store. I was given a great deal misleading and erroneous information, from store locations, to transferability to shoe size measurement, in addition to alot of hype to sell the product. Here's my experience in that store. On 8-24-2011 I visited the Good Feet Store in Reno, NV and purchased some products. I explained to the salesperson that I was a only visiting the Reno area and was hesitant to purchase anything so far from home. He repeatedly told me that there were some one hundred plus Good Feet stores and the exchange and store credit were good anywhere in the United States. Unfortunately the Good Feet products did not work for me. As I was leaving Reno, I returned the products to the Reno store. On 9-9-2011, around 2 o'clock, I returned to the Good Feet store in Reno. As I entered the woman working at the desk, asked me to wait as she was on the telephone. I overheard a rather loud and strained telephone call. Apparently a female customer had come into the Reno store, just before I arrived, to return some products from a Good Feet from a store in Las Vegas, and to use her store credit. That customer was under the impression that she could have a store credit / exchange at any Good Feet store in the US. From what I heard, the customer was so upset that she left the products, with her name and telephone number, and walked out of the store. It sounded like the woman working in the Reno store that day was talking on the telephone to someone at Good Feet headquarters, and explaining her frustration about not knowing how to handle the situation that occurred just before I arrived. I did not make the woman working that day in the store in Reno any happier than the previous customer, as I walked in expecting a store credit to be used in at a San Francisco Bay area store (anywhere in the US as I had been promised upon purchasing the products). I told the woman working at the store that day that I had been told exactly the same thing: i.e. that the store credit was good at any of some one hundred plus stores nationwide. I now have a $540 gift card that I am told is good only at the Reno store. As I spend maybe six days a year in Reno, and some years I am not in Reno at all, this card is worthless to me. I was lead to believe (told emphatically actually) that the credit was good in any store, and I am apparently not the only customer to be given that misinformation. Your records likely show the call from the Reno store to someone Good Feet on 9-9-2011, reflecting the customer from Las Vegas expecting to use her credit in Reno. Before I made the purchase in the Reno store, under the impression that the credit was good nationwide, I asked the salesperson looked up the stores to see if there was one near me. I was told there was a store in Pleasanton Hill, CA. I would like to add that I was given many reasons to buy the Good Feet products 8-24-2011. One among many, I was told by the salesman that he was able to walk in his flip-flops with the "relaxers" across Reno to home (about 6 miles) without a problem. I found this to be a pretty compelling reason to buy the Good Feet products. I was told I could us them in any shoes; and on and on with promises of comfort that were untrue. Ironically, I had come into the store to by shoes (not inserts). My feet didn't hurt before I tried Good Feet products (I have ankle problems). But, my feet did hurt after the few days I tried to use the plastic inserts, and my ankle became problematic once again. As my feet now did hurt, I went to a pedorthist for advice and he shared with me that the salespeople at Good Feet have a lot of sales training but have little to no training in the biomechanics of the feet. He measured my feet for shoes and said the recommended shoe size from the Good Feet store salesperson was incorrect. (I am glad I did not buy shoes as well as inserts.) Now, wanting to clarify the situation, I went to a second pedorthist and was told the same thing. I had been a victim of a sales pitch, and not even gotten my feet measured properly for a shoe size. The salesperson I encountered in Reno certainly presented himself as an expert in feet and footwear. I have a mild case of "hammertoes" (according to a podiatrist seen some time ago). When I shared this with the salesman he was adamant that I did not have that condition and showed me a rather grotesque model of an advanced case of "hammertoes". So I am left wondering why is a salesman prescribing orthotics unless he has training in foot biomechanics. I've tried to resolve this with Good Feet, and at least get a transferable store credit. I've call and written the Reno store and the Customer Service for Good Feet. I even tried to resolution through the BBB. Good Feet does one thing. They simply do not respond. So if you buy something there, say goodbye to your money. read more

I bought a pair of running shoes from the Good Feet store 2 years ago, my foot pain went away but I had to buy a new pair 2 weeks ago for $150.00. The first day of wearing them I got blisters on both my feet. I went back to the store and they would not exchange them or refund us. I am out $150.00 for some shoes I can't wear. I walked into REI in Reno. They had the same shoes and they have a 100% guaranteed. The Lady at the Good Feet store told me she does not recommend shoes and there for they are not guaranteed. I live in Zephyr Cove, Nevada and saw their ad on TV. Since we are 60 miles away I called to see if I needed an appointment. I was told "no just come in". We arrived at 2 PM and there were two customers ahead of us. We were ask to leave and return in 30 minutes which we did. There was another person in the store that was not there when we initially arrived. We were told it would be a just little longer. After the 2 people that were there when we arrived were done we were ignored and the person that came in after we did was waited upon. After inquiring why we were not next I was told she had an appointment. Seriously! I was told no appointment was necessary. When I complained to the man that was working there he was upset that I was pointing my finger at him and threatened me with bodily harm. I left the store and will never return. Now I see why there is only a 3 star review. They greet and treat people with rudeness. I doubt they really care about your feet. Bad greet, bad treat means unhappy feet. read more
