Love the goose pub! Our go to spot for TNFs or other sporting events. They've done a good job with COVID protocols: masks, wiping down tables after every use, hand sanny, do-not-cross lines at the bar, etc. There's also a waitress there on Thursdays who always takes good care of the squad when we're there for TNF. Seems like she's the only one there and she's always hustling, serving drinks, taking orders, cashing out, and cooking all the food singlehandedly. Kudos to you girl. The food here is actually really good IMO for what it is: mostly fried or flattop grilled pub food. But the burgers are always on point - my favorite is the mushroom burger. The wings are great and the other apps are just what you want from a dive bar pub. My only minor gripe is that it's a little expensive. Like, if every item on the menu dropped by just 1 or 2 bucks, it would be the standard pub pricing, but I guess this is DT Bellevue. Mac and Cheese balls were awesome! Chill for the games. Pop to the bar kinda service. Had a few friends meet up and had some drinks and Jell-O shots. Sadly the hawks lost but the food didn't. My sister recommended this place to me and my parents. She comes here with her coworkers all the time! Since she recommended, we've gone twice in a a week. Very generous and reasonably priced dive in Bellevue. Generous with shots and they keep their glasses chilled and frosty. The tater totes, French fries and onion rings are fries up perfectly, extra crispy. Dipping sauces include ketchup and mustard, and then a white sauce that tastes like pickles and tartar sauce- so good. The burgers are made fresh and brought over to you hot off the grill. Simple menu- no frills, but it gets the job done. Basic pub flare- delivered hot and crispy! We left full and boozy! Major shout out to our waitress who was the only one working on New Years Day. She tended bar, made the food and waited on about 30 people by herself! She had great energy and stayed on top of refills. I took one star away because they do need to update their menu. Few dives in the Seattle area are as straightforward as the Goose. I started going here after my shifts would end at a nearby warehouse. I was at least a weekly regular for about a year and a half. This place was my respite after a hard day, and the staff were always awesome. Later when I got a different (and better) job, my commute took me away from here. I stopped going for about eight months. Then I made an effort to go again, and things picked up right where they left off. I was still greeted like a regular and the barkeep even remembered my drink of choice. Great place, nothing fancy, but always reliable. Perhaps if they hire different wait staff this might be a good place to hang out. I had a lousy experience yesterday 5/12/23 at around 3:45 pm. I went with my boyfriend to have a drink and play pull tabs. After buying quite a few pull tabs, I ended up winning $500. Here comes the good part, there were 2 waitresses working there. One was attending us, the one that was not attending us proceeded to tell my boyfriend that it was common courtesy to give a 10% tip. He told her he was not the one that won and that she needed to tell me. She started saying things under her breath, being rude, raising her voice and making a scene. Needless to say, I didn't leave a tip. A tip is voluntary and earned it is not demanded. Be careful if you go there and the blond waitress serves you. read more

Ah... The Goose. Good ol' Goose. If you're looking for a place where you don't have to try and flaunt and act like you got top dollaz like you do in the rest of Bellevue, The Goose is for you. There isn't anything out of this world or amazing about this bar, and that's why it's so great. It truly is, just a dive bar. It almost has that old dingy, yet comforting smell... or maybe that's just the smell of too much Mac N Jack's spilt on the floor, hah!! The bartenders there are pretty cool, super down to earth and respectable. The food there is what you'd expect, freezer-to-the-fryer type food, which is a blessing (that being so convenient and cheap) and a curse (blocked arteries and heartburn). Beer selection is also what you'd expect. I really do like how there's one of those "modern-day" jukeboxes. It's really convenient, although it may get a bit awkward if you and your homies enjoy Hip-Hop/ R&B but half of the bar dwellers enjoy Classic Rock...I suppose taking turns and moderation is key :-) Of course, like any other dive bar, there are plenty of pool tables, couple games and TVs and your typical bar-dwellin' dudes. This place is a surprise. I have seen its location before but never attempt to come in because I am afraid I would get jumped by some gangs. But dang, it was a very polite and peaceful place to my surprise. The food is great and it came with great quantity. So be careful if you order too much. I've come here a handful of times because one of my good friends and her husband are regulars at this dive bar. It's honestly the only place of its kind that you'll find in Bellevue. It's across the freeway from the more traditional Bellevue bar scene and brings in quite a crowd. The place is decently sized with lots of tables and seating at the bar. They have pool tables, darts, and other dive bar style games. Drinks are cheap and of course they have the traditional greasy bar foods. We usually order the mozz sticks because my friends love those and they're pretty good, especially after an evening of drinking. The atmosphere is an interesting one because you don't have your typical Bellevue scene of bros or scandalously dressed girls. You will find a little bit of everything here (some sketchy people) and it's a great venue for people watching! read more

Dropped by on a Sunday evening since it was one of the bars open and close in proximity. One guy runs the whole place, from taking orders, making drinks, frying foods, to bussing, etc. Knowing that, we gave a lot of slack in terms of waiting time since you could clearly see him running around all night. we went Saturday night the two girl bartenders were so rude. First she tried to accuse our friend of an expired ID which it wasn't, then she Over charged my friends card 5x for a drink. Pretty typical dive bar, though I was very surprised that they had rap going as their background music. For some reason there were only 2 people working on a Saturday so service was seriously lacking, but what service there was to be had was friendly. Definitely recommend this place if you're looking for a dive bar in Bellevue. Every time I come here with my coworker (after work ofc), they pour the nice sized shots! And their food is great! Glad this place isn't as busy as places in downtown Bellevue, because there's a pool table, some games and darts if you wanna gather here with a small group. You could never go wrong with a classic cheeseburger and fries. The cheeseburger reminded me of a cheeseburger that's get grilled in your backyard and it had all the toppings -- onions, lettuce, tomato, pickles, cheese. I enjoy dive bars, but this was a couple steps below 'dive'. Not a lot of seating, 1 HDTV (lots of std def), slow service of over-fried food, and layers of dust and grime on the early 90s UW memorabilia covering (hiding?) every wall. Construction all over the place makes parking a challenge. I'm sure its a big hit with the UW alums in their late 70s, but otherwise I'd look for better options... read more

Dive bar!!! Ugh I love it. Like obviously this is a dive bar My 5/5 rating is as far as dive bars go, you know? The menu is literally typed out on a word document and printed. No pictures. No fancy lettering. No color. It's awesome. They have a range of food options, soup, salad, sandwiches, burgers. And pretty cheap too! Like $9 for my veggie burger and sandwiches like $6-$9. The fries were delicious! Crispy and like breaded. Big fan My mom and I split the veggie burger and the cook cut the burger in half and served us our own plate with half the burger and half the fries. It was so thoughtful! It's in a small strip mall across from the Crab Pot and what you see is what you get. This is a dive bar. It's not trying to be something other than that. You won't pay more than $10 for a burger and a sh*t TON of fries / tots. The bacon burger (sub cheddar for swiss) is my favorite (if you're looking for a suggestion). To be honest, most everything you get here is going to start out frozen so we're not talking gourmet or anything extra fancy. The appetizer selection is your typical bar food; potato skins, nachos, mini tacos, mini burritos (my husband loves these), popcorn shrimp, etc. Come on a game day and you're sure to catch a beer / drink special. If you are here on a game day, I would suggest you get here before the game starts - seating (with a good view of the TVs) can get a little tight by the end of the first quarter. The servers and bar tenders are nice and even when it gets busy they do their best to make sure everyone is taken care of. read more

Menu is exactly what you'd expect, mostly fried bar staples, and the alcohol selection caters more to the lower end spirits. All that said, it's got a really unique vibe and the staff are really friendly. The Goose is also one of the few spots that offer darts in the area (other than Tavern Hall, but that place is an abomination and I can't wait for them to close). You can tell that it never left the 80's but that's ok, pool tables are elbow room, tv's are blurry but have sports, darts available. Patrons are very friendly. And by the looks of it not many Yelpers know about it since the last Yelp review was 3 months ago, and prior that was August '09.... Yup, the location doesn't get much better than this! Nestled right next to Barrier Porsche, a hair salon, a smut shop, & across the street from the Crab Pot. Decent drinks, good looking taco's ($1 each- I had 3 and was stuffed), HUGE order of tater tots- even better the next day, ok boneless wings. OK place to watch & talk sports with the guys. Not much in the eye candy department, although one of the tarbenders (hiccup) has big boobs but keeps them mostly under wraps. This other foreign guy in front of me took him 30 Minutes to get a beer, took me exactly 27 minutes to get my beer, as if that was enough, we were both skipped several times before they took our order. This is a great little dive bar that's conveniently halfway from home on my daily commute from work. Sometimes the traffic is so bad it drives me to drink! I like to meet up with an old friend of mine here and have a couple drinks, shoot the shit and usually play a round of Big Game Hunter while the traffic dies down a little. The beer selection here is pretty diverse and they have my favorite, Mac and Jack's so it works out well for me. They also have a good selection of bar food. I've had the mozzarella sticks, the mini tacos (my favorite) and the bacon burger which was pretty good and very reasonably priced! It's a great little, and I mean little, dive bar with good greasy food and fair prices. Oh, the Goose, what a wonderfully misplaced little bar you are (sandwiched right in between a couple of luxury car dealerships)! When I was living on the Eastside, there was a stretch of about a year that you could find the BF, a couple friends, and me at the Goose at LEAST once a week. Sadly those days are gone since living in Seattle has made it a bit of a trek to visit the Goose. We would go for the fantastic tater tots, tiny crispy fried wings, and fried mac and cheese. Occasionally someone would order a burger or sandwich, but otherwise we had the above trifecta virtually every time we were there. Couple that with some pitchers of cheap beer and call it a fun night! It doesn't matter what time you're there...midday, evening, or latenight. The mood is the same and so is the crowd. Speaking of the crowd... it's interesting because you generally have a group of guys in suits who came from work, mixed with some biker-looking folks and then some young hipster-ish (it's Bellevue, afterall) types here and there. I don't know if Jamie still works there, but she was always so nice and patient with our rowdy group, and we grew to really like her. I sure do miss the Goose. re: MNF This is a hole in the wall bar that I would have overlooked had I not been looking for it. Used the Yelp app for Chicken Wings and this place came up. I was quite surprised how many people were here eating/drinking and preparing for the MNF (Monday Night Football) game. The place is very open, so I would be quite surprised if there were any hidden secrets. I classified this place as a hole in the wall, but it literally gave me the impression, someone did a shotgun setup for a restaurant and that's what I thought it looked like. The seafood dish we had was okay, but the wings were good. They brought out the wings right as they were prepared, so great turnaround from kitchen stove to your table. There was only one waittress, so that was probably the only neg, since service was slow; however, she was pretty good considering she was the only one working. Didn't sit at the bar, so I have no insight/opinion on the bartender. My wife and I had a good time and we'll be back. read more

Living in Bvue for so many years, I never had any idea this bar existed. I hardly ever drive the road out front, but even then, never noticed this little dive bar tucked away next to Barrier Porsche. Granted, dive bars aren't really my thing, but I've still had a drink at quite a few over the years, albeit mostly in Seattle. This place is a true dive bar, through and through. Nothing fancy on the menu, just the usual deep fried artery clogging food. Add the obligatory pool tables, electronic darts, dark and dingy atmosphere, and you have yourself a genuine dive bar right on the outskirts of dtown Bvue. Glad I was finally introduced to this place just this summer. I'll be back eventually, I'm sure of it. read more

Great little dive bar in Bellevue. Haven't been to a dive like this since my college days, definitely brings back memories. Nonetheless, great selection on tap, prompt service and no pretentious attitudes like many other places in Bellevue. Definitely a place to let your hair down and relax after a long week. The burgers are great!! As good as burgers get. For $7, you get a really decent size burger with side of fries (or salad or soup). Definitely fills you up.
