I work two stores down at LoveSeason Gifts for Lovers. I worked the night of the big snowstorm. And, because of that, was trapped at work. Without food. Or anything, really. No heat, no blankets, no money. It was probably after 10pm when my mother (who I had had on the phone to complain about the weather to) called the girls down at the Goose. They had already shut down their grill, but they still had their deep fryer going, and could make cold food. Now, to my COMPLETE SURPRISE, I get a knock on the door. It was one of the ladies from the Goose. She had a big bag in her hand, and told me that it was from my Mom. Apparently she had called and figured out everything a vegetarian could have (since I haven't eaten meat since I was a small child) at such a late time. I had a veggie sandwich, and mozzarella sticks. The food was pretty good (I wanted more cheese!! hehe), especially considering I was starving, but what really stuck with me was the customer service. Was there last night with a couple of co-workers. Yep, it's still a dive bar! (I don't think it could hold a candle to the dive yelped in the ID, though-I think it's upscale compared to that-no 5 minute time-out rule for fighting) The seasoned drinking veterans were once again there, the after work people were there, and it's still one of the most 'un-bellevue bars' in bellevue, aside from the mustard seed. read more

A little hole in the wall strip mall bar in Bellevue across from the Lake Bellevue Crab Pot. Typical divey bar with pull tabs, pool, and TV's. Several sad looking business type men around and a group of drunk co-workers laughing and sharing a pitcher over pool. My husband and I came here for some beer and burgers and the burgers were great. They have a surprisingly extensive menu to select from and they have burger with a fried egg on it. If you're going to do something you might as well do it right, no? read more

This place had the environment of a classic dive bar, which I really loved. It's hard to find places like this in the richer areas of King County, where a lot of the bars cater to the rich youth. The service was great and down to Earth, the food was delicious and the drinks were fairly priced. Will definitely be back! read more

I've become a regular here in the past 9 months and I absolutely love this place. It's one of the few locations in Bellevue with a kitchen that's open past midnight so its a great spot for me and my co-workers after getting off to relax with a beer and some bar food. It's a dive bar and as long you're expecting that you'll be happy. Has pool, darts, foosball, and video poker and of course pull tabs. Jaime has been nothing but absolutely stellar even when I occasionally get too rowdy. read more

Well. We went here two days in a row, so that should tell you exactly what you need to know. A Saturday night and a Sunday afternoon (for the Seahawks/49ers Game). I only ever go here for late night drinks - midnight or later. And it's PERFECT for that kind of outing. Please, when you read this review keep in mind that it's usually not the first bar I've been to in any given outing. The ambiance suits anyone and everyone, the bartenders are really nice with a flash of attitude, and there's entertainment ranging from darts to pool to the occasional karaoke night. I like the Goose Pub. It's an honest dive bar with friendly people that serves well-prepared bar fare. I had a hamburger and french fries and they were great. Good selection of beer. The "Goose" - like Madonna, Slash, Obama, some things can be described in one word. This place is a speakeasy door into some excellent pub food and a beer selection I can live with. Certainly a meeting place, popular with those who know. I fall in love with the servers every time I go to this place - fortunately for me they could care less, they're in it to win it, so make sure to tip them liberally - they deserve it. Parking is pretty easy if you get there early, but once the lot fills up you're going to have a walk to and from the place. It's dark, not too dark, and once the juke box kicks in you may find it hard to hear yourself talk, but whatd'ya expect, it's a dive bar! Yeah, 3 stars is right. I will go back, but when I left, my clothes stank, so yeah, it's a dive. But my burger came out right as did the tater tots we ordered extra crispy. A solid choice for a quick cheap lunch, but not a spot to take a client or your girlfriend. read more

I'm not a big fan of eating in pubs. Probably since growing up the taverns and pubs in the area were a little on the seedy side. I work nearby and was looking for lunch at something other than Subway and teriyaki shops. A co-worker suggested I try the Goose. I was surprised when I entered that it didn't have that musty, stale beer smell and was pretty clean. I was greeted almost immediately after I entered and asked I was getting lunch. I got the menu and chose the bacon burger with swiss cheese and fries. The patty on the burger tasted like it was fresh, not a frozen patty. The bacon was good and not overly salty or too smokey. It had lettuce that wasn't shredded so you can taste it. The fries were great! I got my food withing 10 minutes. Here's the kicker, the food was great, the portions perfect and the price was excellent! It was far better than going to Red Robin. The only reason I didn't give it a 5-star rating is that you can't bring in your family. If you are in Bellevue and want a casual lunch, the food is great! read more

The prices were great at happy hour! $4 draft 4/5 stars because the services was terribly slow at recognizing when tables were finished and wanted their tab. We went here about two months ago after having an intense craving for pub food and not really wanting to spend a lot. The location is a hard to find, miss it in the blink of an eye strip mall. Upon entering the establishment, our first impression was total dive bar, but lots of room. It was quiet enough that we could enjoy a great conversation over dinner. The drinks were served quickly and had a good selection on tap. Food was to be as expected, greasy, served quickly and just what we wanted at a great price. The waitress bet out drinks that we couldn't finish all the food we ordered, sure enough we couldn't. The staff was friendly and attentive. We ended our night playing free pool, and playing video shooting games, darts and dancing ridiculously praying nobody watched. Great dive bar, we look forward to going back the next time we visit. read more

I haven't lived in Seattle for something like 2 years. Was about for my Fantasy draft, stuck on the Eastside with no car. Bright side, can get tanked. Downside, where do I go? Bellevue has become more Bro-Hell than it was before, I really don't wanna go somewhere bougie as heck, and I'd just assumed that the Goose had moved on, as most of that plaza seems to have. Nope. Going strong. Food is still top-notch, still don't have Raindog on tap (hiss) but they do have Dottie's, which is just fine, and a bunch of decent micros along with the macro swill, and they still make the inexplicably best martini under $15 (sorry, guys, El Gaucho's is better) in the metro area. You know, at a divey sports bar. They point the glass toward France, putting a light mist of vermouth under the gin, and then spritz it perfectly at the end. AT A SPORTS BAR. Fantasy draft was good, won $10 on pull tabs, and I remembered there's still some good things that haven't been driven out so the Bros can Bro. Mind, there's bros here, but the lowercase b kind, the ones who can behave themselves, scream at the TV, and respect others while they're at it. Still the best dive in Bellevue. After seeing my doctor I need to rethink my dieting choices. With that in mind I decided to seek out the best burgers on the Eastside. Many are very good but the best was in my own backyard at The Goose Pub N Eatery. Went there today and ordered a bacon cheeseburger no tomato. Wasn't specifically on the menu but what great Pub/Tavern doesn't have one? Melty-cheesy-bacony-juicey perfection! Everything a good burger is supposed to be. Crispy fries and a Mack n Jack, I'm in heaven and hope my doctor doesn't read yelp reviews! Dianna the, "Day Gal", was a most pleasant and thorough hostess. I grew up on dive bars in eastern Washington--you are not a dive bar. You are just a BAD bar. The 4 star rating is baffling. The place was sparsely populated. Most folks were nursing their drinks, yet it took forever to be waited on as our waitress was having a very involved discussion with another waitress who was on her way out (based on the bag upon her shoulder). Yes, I get to say this because I have been a waitress. Stone cold jalapeno poppers-yum. Joined later by fried dogfood/oysters. Mmmm. We were the oldest folks in the joint = we have the potential to be the best tippers. Man, you think you might know this little gem by now. Not so much when you THROW the bill at us. Love it! It's like going back in time of the 80s. I love the decor and good old games.

It's a dive... with good food for lunch!! I had the Friday special, prime rib, with mashers/gravy and choice of salad or soup ($11.95). It was a full meal. A fat 1 1/2" slab of the prime rib (5cm for you commies). Was it cooked perfectly? No, but it was still damned tasty and for the price you can't beat it. It came with some great horseradish (perfect blend of bite and creaminess). I'll be coming back, for sure. read more

The Goose Pub is a great local pub in Bellevue. Great food, good choices of beer, lots of TVs, foos ball, darts, pool. If you feel like relaxing with your friends late at night, and don't feel like Bellevue Square, this is the bar for you. I usually get their burger, wings and nachos. Let me just say right away that I loved this place. I went there on a Saturday evening which was surprisingly not very crowded.
