Stopped here to see the movie Project Hail Mary. Haven't been here since the new owners took over. I was pleasantly surprised with the reclining seats and the quality of the picture. They have senior citizens discounts and other discounts for different times of the day and week. Always have to try the popcorn and it was freshly popped and did not disappoint. It's been forever since I have been to the movies. The Grand Luxury Cinema has a cozy local feel with 11 cinemas and luxury seating. The best part of the seating is the lounge aspect and the heated seats! We chose Avatar:Fire and Ash and it was a long movie. If you go plan on a 3 hours and 17 minutes so it may be time for dinner and time to go to bed just depending your selection of time. You can purchase your tickets online which I highly encourage. There is a small surcharge, but this way you will have a guarantee seating. The employees were friendly and answered all my questions. The actual movie experience is good- nice reclining seats, etc. Some theaters are tiny. They changed ownership recently, and it is noticeable- and not in a good way. They have signs up in every bathroom stall about respecting the property, etc and signs up explaining there are no longer paper towels available because the dispensers kept breaking. The bathrooms aren't super clean. The staff morale and skill is mediocre. They removed the Coke Freestyle machines and put in the normal ones, stopped doing the refillable yearly popcorn buckets, changed the cups to clear Solo Cups, and the food is just really subpar. All sorts of signs saying "as of (whatever date), outside food and drinks are no longer allowed" (were they ever?). Management just seems super grumpy and disillusioned. read more

Yes, we do recommend Grand Luxury Cinema, with the caveat that this is the only theater in Venice and the chairs are so comfortable. And, the chairs/recliners are very comfortable! This theater changed hand this past year and the change is beginning to overwhelm the building. Everything is dirty now, the womens restrooms haven't been cleaned in months, perhaps the countertops have received a cursory wipe down, but the floors and walls are becoming more filthy by the week. Each individual theater has garbage in the drink holders and popcorn/food shoved under the recliners. Prices have increased, the popcorn bucket and soda cups are gone, and probably the saddest of all, the employee moral is is noticeably lower. We will continue to use this theater with the hope that management begins to take notice of the rapid decline and change things around. read more

This small movie theater is a hidden gem in Venice. Boutique style movie theater with fair ticket prices at about $10. The reclining seats are comfortable and there is even a heated seat option in the back area. That was a nice touch. The service was good as well. I skipped the popcorn and drinks but the others with me said it was good and fair priced. read more

I love having this little theatre near my family home even though it still takes a good 30 mins to drive here so I don't come as much as I would if I was closer. Two stars is, I've experienced better. The time was 2pm Sunday, they show old movies once a week? I've never been to one but we went for a date. The ambiance of the theater is nicely updated, clean bathrooms, there's a bar and chandeliers, reclining leather seats. The staff are all very nice. My let downs- the movie experience- this is the second time I've seen a movie here where they messed up the lights in the movie. Not sure if the lights are on timers or if someone is manually doing it but it needs to be fixed! Today, 3 minutes before the end of the movie they turned the lights on!! It was at the end of the movie in a very emotional scene and turning on the lights completely ruined the experience. Very jarring and terrible. In addition there's Pepsi products now , which I think are gross. We usually buy the large soda and popcorn for $17, I like that u can refill the popcorn but probably won't get this again - we do like sprite or sometimes cherry coke but starry is just not as good and I'm just not into Dr Pepper with popcorn ... loved the option to see old movies but be aware the screens are small here. We always by our tickets ahead of time online, which requires u to pay a service fee. there's no box office, but a screen with times was a new edition since last time. read more

My wife and I have been coming to this theater a couple of times a month for about 4 years since we moved to Venice. Unfortunately, things are continuing to disappoint since the new owners took over. First, they got rid of the really nice Coke machines that had tons of selections and put in old style fountain Pepsi machines that only have about 5 options and looks like they are 10 years old. Then they got rid of the refillable popcorn buckets that were super convenient. Now they just raised the ticket prices for the Tuesday night special. Looks like we will spending more time streaming. Nice neighborhood Theatre .. The staff is what makes this place our go to for our movies nights . They truly are very attentive and very friendly. They have a small Bar fully stocked to make any drink or choice . I had bought a slushy and wish I had thought of getting a mixed drink instead so my hubby asked the bartender if he would would be able to put a shot of vodka in it I was like oh yes that would be awesome .took a sip and was like well it's kinda missing something so they agreed to add the coconut rum as well and holy moly , The best Slushie ever ! ! .. haha Kudos to the bartender ! Sorry Squirreled .. back to my review .. The theatre and restrooms are always very clean, theatre seats are very comfortable , i recommend bringing a blankie and socks, so you can take off your shoes recline your chair, relax and enjoy the movie !! read more

Awesome movie theater located right in Venice and possibly the only one. Seats are very comfortable and can recline. Concession stand is really pricey as most movie theaters are. Great place to catch a movie! read more

8:30am movie starts were great and convenient during the Summer. Theater's staff very friendly. Reclining chairs were so comfortable, and well-maintained. Have only been there once, but it was a really fun experience to go to the movie theaters again. read more

Small, quaint, cute, reclinable AND heated chairs with an awesome popcorn and snack section AND a full bar for the adults that want to adult while kicking back and watching a movie? Done. This little movie theatre has a local feel to it and awesome deals. You can buy a popcorn bucket for only $12 and then get it refilled as much as you want for just $5 each time. The theatres are small but perfect. Not overly crowded and not overly stuffed. Definitely a great watching experience with those reclinable chairs. Love the images throughout the space from older movies and classics. Great spot to catch a movie, have a drink and stuff your face with popcorn. read more

We retired to Florida and seldom go to the movie theaters. Every once in awhile we see the previews of a movie we want to see and go. Against my computer sappy children's advice, telling us we can watch it at home because we have Prime, Netflex, Disney, etc. I like to go to this theater because is really nice, comfortable seating, clean and they service you from your seat from their upscale menu. Disappointed at venice theatre. I went to buy my snacks. I got the large popcorn with 2 large drinks to share with my mom. Not realizing mom bought a water. Nothing had been touched on the counter and asked if I could be refunded for 2nd large drink or get something else for the extra drink. The young woman behind the counter said I was paying for the cup!!!! $20.00 total. So I basically have a very expensive paper cup! read more

Recently visited the theatre on Mothers Day and was disappointed with the service. There were two young children talking through most of th movies, and running down the isle and climbing over the seats People were hushing the children and the lady who was with the two young children had no control over the kids. I had to tell the kids to sit down. We went to the Manager office to ask for assistance, they walked through once and never said a word to this group. I was wanting to enjoy a movies with my son and ended up very disappointed with management not handling the situation. After the movie we mentioned to the man in charge why he did not do anything and all he said was have a nice day. Well I did not have a nice day. Other customers were talking about it as we left as well. read more
