Came here to watch a fight and see some asses get whooped but my ear drums ended up getting all the whooping from the unbearably loud speakers. Note to self: bring ear plugs next time! I watched IFS and the place seemed clean and spacious. While I've never seen a fight set up on a stage quite like that, it worked well enough considering I was seated pretty close to the stage. Just two rows behind the middle walkway. While I don't know how often I'd frequent a place like this, I'd say it did a great job hosting IFS with just the right crowd size. It's also really close to other plazas with some great eats, so you can enjoy a meal and dessert before or after the event. Only downside is the $30 parking. That's almost Disneyland numbers! Backstory got married 3 years ago here. I'm not going to lie the first time we came to visit we spoke to one of their sales girls and she was talking to us about everything super welcoming we were excited to chose this place it made it seem like a lot was included. Come around the second time to finalize that we were goin to chose this place and turns out the person event coordinater that was speaking to us the first time did not work there no more. A little shocked but okay. Were greeted by a new event coordinator spoke about what we wanted. Food included so we went to try what foods we wanted to select for the day. They told us to go on an empty stomach and we got served not even enough to fill us up. Lol. There was a lot of little details that were starting to come up as time kept progressing that things weren't included but the first coordinator there made it seem like a lot was included and they were going to be there the whole day making sure everything was according to plan. But it wasn't, another shocker. As time progressed I would send email to our "new" event coordinator and talking about colors for the linens on the tables etc, how the napkins folded, corkage fees. This new coordinator said she'd only be there in the beginning which again another shocker when we're told they would be there all day to make sure event ran good. Fees were raised more when we were told they were a certain price when we came the first time. I would reach out the this place and my coordinator wasn't responding, so when it came to take payment we were greeted by a new event coordinator. 3 coordinators from our time being there. So super high turnover rate, they couldn't keep their things straight, each coordinator would raise price from previous and say that things weren't going to be provided when the previous one said they would. That in itself was unprofessional because this was a couple months before our wedding and we were not told our coordinator left nor were we reached out to by the new coordinator to assure everything was okay. That's what pissed me off because how are you going to take over 15k in money to not reach out to your customer who is getting married within months at your venue. That to me was unprofessional. And the new new coordinator was rude and not reassuring but what could I do at that point it was already done. Thousands of dollars already paid for. Now the chairs you pay more for the more elegant ones, we didn't up to pay for that so we chose to go to the standard and the chairs were MIXED. Looked funky. So why was it like that??? Idk. Our food was scheduled to be served at a certain time, was running late. Keep in mind we got the bigger venue and there was a wedding in the other hall the Alexander the smaller venue, which whatever but there was no separation for the events. GUESTS FROM THE ALEXANDER WERE COMING OVER TO OUR PARTY AND TAKING DRINKS FROM OUR BAR THAT WE BOUGHT. There was no regulation at all from security nothing. All their guest were coming over to our wedding. AND, we also got a taco man again for OUR guests that ppl from the other wedding were coming over to get. So many things that we were confused as to why we are spending so much for our guest to enjoy not the other party. Now there no doors to separate these two halls so yeah they would just walk straight across. Now obviously there's only so much you remember to take at the end of the night, so we forgot our big framed picture that we had at the front and our glasses with mr and Mrs. We had gone on our honeymoon right after our wedding so we had relatives go retrieve and we were told our stuff was not there. When our relatives went to go check they were there in the venue. How can they loose our items when our party was just literally days ago. It was ridiculous. This venue is not what it seems to be they get you thinking you're getting this really good deal but as you are ready to contract they start to add everything up and more. For example they have lights like cage lights stringed across the ceiling that they charged extra to have on. And I wanted them on but wasn't wanting to pay extra for it so whatever didn't go for it. And that was also turned on so very much money grabs on EVERYTHING. Very money hungry, not organized. Everyone is not as be as involved as they should be. The workers just take your money there is no interest in getting to know you, just your wallet. There was no effort in customer service at all. And goes to show how shitty stuff is inside if there was 3 firings of coordinators within less than a year. Save your money from this place. The workers are what made it a bad experience. AND DURING ALL THIS TIME there was talks about renovations and our wedding date was going to have the new renovations. They weren't lol. Another disappointment. I believe they were fixing their chandelier I don't even remember but they were making it seem like these big improvements were going to be done. read more

However, I was charged $10 and given a receipt from their All Events Catering that listed the charge as "Arabe" instead of parking. Venue yelp review First off all I want to say our wedding was great and so much fun! The venue did a great job of making our vision come to life. Everything was very elegant and romantic. The staff was great. The bartenders did a great job and kept the bar with no lines the whole night. The drinks were delicious. Everyone raved about the food even the picky eaters. Now I will say it's best to get everything that is promised in writing just to avoid confusion later on! It'll save you the headaches. I attended a concert at the Grand Theater. It was one of the rainy days during the storm, but the event was very organized. They have two ballrooms for any occasions, beside the main theater. The venue was spacious and very clean. The sounds and the light were perfect. The seats were very comfortable. We paid twenty five dollars for the parking for the events. I will advise you, if you are a heavy drinker be prepared to pay $20 a drink not including tip. They have mainly higher quality liquors for drinks. Not sure if the venue supplied the food but it was good. Not mind blowing but it was good. Security is on top of their game here. They check all bags. We just had our daughter's quince here this past Saturday, Nov 8th, and I was impressed with their level of service. From beginning to end, they were extremely helpful and courteous. Beware! Hidden agenda and costs. The niceness and contracts mean nothing once you have paid. Recently had a large venue over 900 guests and omg what a horrific experience. 1. The owners invited outside friends to partake in the festivities when approached and asked why they did they simply replied "they're friends" even though this was a private "paid event" and they had no right to do this they declined to have them leave upon our request. His so called friend hustled his way to the artists dressing rooms to do business with them and this was seriously so wrong and distressing since the artist had contract stipulating no one would enter without consent and jeopardized our venue in being sued. 2. With almost a one thousand guests present they scammed with the alcohol that we provided to have served and reported pennies to what really was sold. Also boxes of tequila were kept by them and quote reported "lost" 3. The food was cold and and their staff not prepared to handle so many guests. 4. Parking was chaotic and overcharged 5. Our own security was replaced by their security who would want to pat down on female guests only! Very disturbing! Incident reported and was ignored. 6. They overcharged the technical part of the stage and theatre with a total of close to $80K in added costs. would not recommend and definitely would never hold another venue in this nitch of scammers. felt so discriminated and abused by one of the pseudo owners named Elizabeth. read more

The Grand Theater was the best choice we made for our daughter's Quinceanera. It met all of our expectations! Our Captain Arturo was amazing! He was on top of making sure our program was on schedule and making sure we were doing ok! The linens chosen were perfect. The bar, well everyone loved the well drinks and the keg beer was super cold! My fiancé and I had selected this location for our wedding this summer of 2023. We booked it almost a year in advance .Unfortunately my husband began experiencing sudden health decline after already paying thousands of dollars towards the event. He had multiple visits to the hospital in a really short period of time . I initially tried to postpone our wedding to a later date due to his health but they rejected the request . I did not cancel our wedding then and there. I wanted to occupy my energy on my husbands health . My husband was not progressing. Within the next two weeks I informed them I had to cancel the event even though we had already invested close to $10,000. It was not until after I canceled the event that they then mentioned if we wanted to push the date back . Why is is that the first time I asked to push the date back they said no ?! And now because they want the rest of the money they offer a later date . There is no possible way to set a date for the future. How can I do that ?!!! My husbands health is critical. I requested for most of the money back because honestly they had not put any work towards my event (I mean zero) , since I I book it well in advance. By the way I canceled the event before they even began to make preparations for it . I find it inhumane of them to take all that money so easily. Don't take a chance with this venue. Find another location to celebrate your weddings , quinceañeras , and other special occasions. I honestly thought this place would be reasonable , with my request give at least some of the money back . But instead they ignore any contact with you . This has been such a horrible experience. Had an amazing wedding anniversary. Carmen was amazing and communicative from the beginning but final meeting ended with Elizabeth. A little stressful since I had been communicating with Carmen but Elizabeth was great. 1. I Forgot forks and lighter for my centerpieces and Jasmine helped resolve those things. 2. AC is not equipped for a summer celebration at this venue unfortunately. They cater to 600+ guest and I only had 250 guests so didn't make sense why AC was SO BAD, my husband, myself and some guests tried talking to Jasmin and the staff about it but all Jasmin said it's a hot day and the AC is on & unfortunately the temp can't get the room under 80 degrees. 3. Pro: Got provided a private suite to change but again extremely hot in there, tried practicing my first dance but Jasmin said she'd bring me a fan and must've forgotten. 4. Bartender stated the reason they didn't use my mixers was because guests weren't enjoying them, got back almost all juices for my margaritas felt like a waste of money. I always use the ingredients provided for my family parties and they never complain. 5. Bar sold my guests pineapple juice in bulk to supply my bar. This is a pro/con, I'm glad they have backup ingredients for sale, but the sale should've been solely to my husband or I. As I wouldn't have approved the purchase. Got sold a 12 pack of pineapple juice 1 hour before event ended for one 1 juice to be used in that hour, that was a bit disheartening that my family and friends spent money on something that was realistically not needed. 6. Wow, nothing but great words to say about this venue. Liz is the owner and is very hands on with her business. They stick by their contract and are very professional and have great communication. On the day of the wedding they made sure my day felt so special and that I was happy. Liz even went above and beyond and ran and got my throw away bouquet for me during the bouquet toss! The food at this venue is excellent and so many people told me it was the best wedding food they ever had! And they cleared their plate. We had an open bar and everyone enjoyed it! We had 200 guests and I never saw a long line at the bar, proving to me that the bar staff was phenomenal. As bride and groom they had servers bring food to us which allowed us to just spend eating and enjoying each other for a while, while everyone else got their food. The night was so much fun and so beautiful that I left the venue crying that it was over. The thing I loved most about this venue is that they are professional as if you were having your event at a hotel or a "big name" venue but they are still family owned so they work with their customers as they did me and my husband! The server that touched my heart and was so great to me was jasmine! She is heaven sent and made sure I had anything I needed that night, from a changing room, my dinner, and continued margaritas lol! Another staff that is special to me is Fred, Fred was the security and he did his JOB! From checking hang bags, making sure people left from one door only, and securing all safety! Fred was there until the end and made sure that me and my husband made it to our cars safely. I could go on and on about the amazing memories this venue gave me! This past weekend, we celebrated our daughter's Quinceañera at the Grand Theater and we LOVED everything about it! Our daughter is still over the moon with her Quince celebration. Now that the dust has settled and we've been able to reflect on the day we celebrated our nieces Quinceañera I feel I can prove an honest review. 1. The venue itself is large with ample space. With all the added decor it looked great. Guests were very impressed at how everything looked beautiful. There was a table the was behind one of the pillars and the guests could not see the dance floor (for the ceremony or Vals) I did ask the staff the move the table and they happily did the guests were able to see everything. 2. Food the day of was delicious. Guests were complimenting the food, which is great. 3. We had asked for the venue to be ready by 3:30 as my niece would be arriving for the reveal. Her head table was off we had to ask Liz to add another table (the throne chair was added therefore the head table was off center) the table was added but the table setting was not complete it was hanging off. Which was disappointing became in pictures you can clearly see the overlay hanging off. 4. Staff day of- the serving staff overall did a good job at communicating with myself and mom of the 15 however I was taken back when after the event guests let us know that the staff approached their tables and started removing what they thought was trash asked if they were finished because we were complaining that the tables had trash on them. You can imaging our reaction because how inappropriate to make such a comment to our guests. Our guests should not have known anything was wrong. 5. Bar- we paid for an extra bartender and bought out the bar. One of the bartenders left and never came back until the event was almost over. The reason we paid for an extra bartender was to avoid the lines as we didn't want our guest to wait for a drink. While Liz did reach out to refund us it was upsetting that we didn't have 2 the entire event. My theory is that he went to work at the other event. (They had a private dinner at another room- which we had been told that there were no other events happening that day). We did get our refund. Also I would like to add that both bartenders had great personalities and were very outgoing and friendly. We did say to put their tip jar out... 6. Seat cushions- we had gone to an open house prior to the event to see how we would set up the day of. One observation I made was that the seat cushions were either stained, miss matched, different material and pattern. And just didn't present well. I brought this to the attention of Angie who was with us and also Liz. Keep in mind the expectation is to have clean not stained items for the amount of being paid. Liz made a comment that they are cleaned prior to the event and rushed off due to an appt.. on the day of it was the farthest thing in our mind but I did appreciate Liz acknowledging that they were picking out the best ones. 7. Security Staff- they were on point and did a great job at directing our guest and keeping the younger ones in the venue. Which we appreciated. Overall my niece had no clue there was any issues she enjoyed her "BEST Day Ever" (as she put it) which is what it's all about she will have this memory forever. read more

I am updating my review, now that we just celebrated my daughter's Sweet 16 this past weekend. First and foremost, thank you to Carmen for always taking care of me from my calls to my emails. I had a question she was very prompt on replying back to me. This weekend was the best night we've had in a long time. Many of my guests came up saying the venue was big and beautiful. Some came to tell me their staff was nice, and helpful all the night. The food was amazing, and some guests even got up for seconds. The chicken picatta was delicious. Waiters and staff were always walking around and picking up after the tables which was good. We couldn't have chosen a better venue for my daughter's sweet 16. This venue is amazing. No other venue will compare. My wife and I had our wedding here and they made our special day amazing from great food to amazing mixed drinks. All staff were ever friendly and supportive with any questions we had. Liz the owner is amazing at what she does, always was helping us and providing us drinks in stressful situations to ease the nerves. and our coordinator also is amazing stayed calm and gave us our space and even served us our food.
