They are supposed to input my Moms phone's number on the package , but they put my phone number on the form instead. So my important docs were not delivered at my mom's address because they kept calling the wrong phone number. But the packages were routed back to me. I wasted 90 dollars on this service. I have called them twice, requesting that they take responsibility for this mistake. No one has responded to my phone call. Terrible. I will not use them again. Since March 19th i have tried countless times to get in touch with the owners. I run a small business and i had to ship 3 boxes out to employees. Additionally i needed to purchase 3 boxes to ship my items. Justin was the only one on and helped me by measuring the boxes and sizing them properly. I purchased my shipping labels, boxes ect. And Justin told me he would wrap it all up and get them on there way. Grabbed all items placed them behind the counter and said he had it from there. Well 2 days later one packaged showed up in Los Angeles EMPTY, the second one showed up in Long Beach EMPTY, the 3rd we requested that USPS NOT deliver and hold on site to inspect. The box was weighed pre-opening and was under weight from label and had NOT been tampered with, meaning unsealed and resealed. Upon opening on site of USPS the box was you guessed it EMPTY! This was $1,500 worth of my company's products total, very devastating. I have spoken to Kim and the Manager notnsure if one in the same at this point. I was told owners on Holiday wouldn't want to be bothered was such things. I ask them to review their video cameras to assure me that this didn't happen in their stores, she agreed. Within 24 hrs she returned to tell me that specific day and time I questioned some how, some way the camera was disfunctioning at this time. It's been over a month and i still can't seem to get in touch with the owners of GBP. It is so disappointing, I've used them for years. As a small business owner in GB i always pride myself in us small guys helping eachother, but here i can't even get a returned call. I was never irate or angry, always calm trying to find my products and some REAL answers here. I unfortunately know it happened here and i am it would be amazing if the owners cared one bit what is happening in their actual store. read more

I've been using GB Postal for years, and they are CLUTCH. Yesterday (Saturday), we unexpectedly needed five documents notarized. We walked in and Sharon got it all done in 23 minutes! GB Postal actually cares about its customers, unlike Christina at Bank of America on Douglas/Eureka, who turned us away, even though we had a scheduled appointment. Christina said it would take one hour and we only had a 30 minute appointment scheduled. THANK YOU, Sharon and Jason and all the staff at GB Postal. You actually want to help your customers. Slowest Fedex delivery award 2x in a row. Dropped off once in the morning, didn't get notification until the next day. Dropped off another one at 5pm and still no notification the next day. Good thing the real Fedex office is nearby. Friendly staff though, please pay them more to increase productivity. read more

The only reason I gave ONE star is because you HAVE TO! Being a small business owner in the area, I like to support the small Mom & Pop businesses..... this store is a little different! We have had a mail box here for a little over a year... UNFORTUNATELY... if it werent such a hassle to change your address, we would have done it when our first contract ended! Walking in to this store is nothing pleasant. In fact, they dont even say, "HI!" When you walk in! When you go to the counter for assistance, they look at you like youre interrupting something very important... which most of the time- it happens to be a PERSONAL CONVERSATION on a cell phone or with another employee. As if bad customer service isnt enough, they have LOST THREE VERY IMPORTANT pieces of mail in just the last month alone & they act like it was MY FAULT?!? NO DO YOUR JOB!! I walked in to the store at 3pm on a Saturday to get a document notarized only to find out that the notary had already left for the day. I was told that the notary leaves early on Saturdays, around 2pm. I asked how I was supposed to know that and the lady said "well you should have called". The website says they have a notary not "we have a notary sometimes" or "you better call before you drive all of the way here". Somehow it was my fault that I did not get there before 2. Is it a know thing that notaries leave before the store closes on the weekend? Well the lady sure made it seem like it's something I should have known. Or maybe, if you advertise having a notary you should have a notary the whole time you are open. Or make the hours known to the public. You really should put up that sign as you so rudely suggested. read more

I have used this postal service for years and they are excellent! The fees are extremely reasonable for the boxes and they will sign for you and accept packages that are too large for your box and hold them until you can come in and pick it up. I highly recommend! read more

I have been supporting this small business for years, I don't go anywhere else. I have always received such high quality customer service and they are always upbeat and pleasant in here. Not today. A gal by the name of Kim was so unhelpful, made me feel like a leper and had the worst attitude. It was clear she didn't want my business at all. A package overseas containing oral chemo for my Mother was returned to me twice due to incomplete customs info. She provided zero options, chastised the other staff for trying to problem solve and had the most heinous attitude. Total grinch...Thank God for the owner and Justin who at least tried to help me with options and point me in the right direction, thankfully ignoring her entirely. Now I'm $300 in the hole with not so much as an apology from her but at least my package is on its way. Bah Humbug to you too, Kim. They never said hi. I usually just drop off packages to mail it that are all ready to go, and have been several times. The last time I went in asked if they could tape my package because I ran out. No problem. They did it for me. THIS time I went in they said they charge for tape, I told them I hadn't been charged before, and they proceeded to say they just started charging for tape for the amount of people that come in that tape, cool... understandable... As I open my change pocket zipper, "how much for the tape?" A Dollar. A DOLLAR FOR A STRIP OF TAPE. I was in shock. And I asked again "a dollar?!" Rediculous. I was ready to give them like .15 cents​ for one strip of tape, and that was being generous. I was pretty upset and expressed to them how rediculous it was, completely ripping off their customers. I can afford the dollar, but knowing they're charging everyone that...for a piece of tape.. Really? Come on. Seriously, A DOLLAR, I could buy a mailing stamp for less than that. So if you plan to go in with a non-sealed package - go next door to Walmart and buy your own roll of packing tape first. It's worth the extra $1.60 or whatever investment. Granite Bay Postal has generally done a good job in shipping things for us. However, today I received an antique stoneware crock that they packed and shipped to me. It was broken into MANY pieces. The packing was SADLY INADEQUATE for the weight of the crock. The only protection it was given in a box too large for it was some styrofoam, that broke apart along with the pot, and a few styrofoam "peanuts." I am now without a family heirloom that was badly mishandled both in the packaging and in the FedEx ground shipping. read more

Always friendly and professional, with a willingness to take the extra step to relieve the stress I's sure they can see on my face when I walk through the door. One of my favorites is the plethora of carriers they work through. My business requires that I sometimes ship DHL, FedEx, or UPS. WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER!!! I was looking to get a notary and then a song by and saw that granite bay postal offered this service. So I decided to go in. Upon my arrival I noticed very loud conversation between the coworkers the conversation was very unprofessional and they seem as if it was no big deal. In fact I was very offended with what they were talking about. When I approach the counter they both stopped talking and glared at me like I was interrupting them. I told them I needed to get a notary and they said hold on and kept on going with our conversation. 2 minutes later she said drivers license. And I said what? And she said are you going to give it to me or not? I told her I didn't understand what you're talking about and there's no need to have attitude. She then said what do you think I'm talking about?? This is the worst customer service I have ever had anywhere in my. I am not sure if this place is a family owned company or If a bunch of friends just all work here together. I went into try to drop off a UPS box with a pre-printed label and wanted to either charge me for tape reinforcement or sell me a whole roll of tape. This is one of the best small mom and pop businesses in Granite Bay. Friendly, knowledgeable and honest. Owning a small business myself, I can attest that there is a tremendous amount of overhead involved--much much more than most people realize. That being said, when I read reviews such as Kaitlin L's (and a couple others) that can be found on this forum, it reminds me of how petty and ignorant some people can be. Paying a dollar for the tape that you use to seal your box prior to shipping is not unreasonable--what is unreasonable is you feel entitled, for some unknown reason, that they should pick up some of the cost for the assembly of your box. That walking into their store, your mere presence, is reason enough to give you free gifts of tape. When they don't, they are the problem? I think the only thing I fault them for is putting up with the "you wouldn't survive without my business" attitude. Trust me, they will be just fine not having to put up with the tape trolling, give me something free, attitude you appear to project in your review. I suggest you walk down a few doors to Walmart (as you mentioned), pull a roll of tape off their shelf, use it, and walk out of the store without paying for it. I would guess your petty theft would not go over well with them. But, it's ok to use Granite Bay Postal's tape, a small mom and pop store working hard to make ends meet, and expect not to pay for it. Where's the logic? I have no doubt, with all your complaining, that you will continue to use their services in the future. Doing so will allow you to feel in control of your life and make others miserable having to put up with your meaningless tantrums, and it will only cost you a dollar....I'm just pointing out that it appears your getting a lot of pleasure by inflicting your negativity on others at the bargain price of $1.00. Note: I've never actually visited this establishment, but was looking to rent a mailbox for the long-term (10-20 years) and was researching what's available in the area. The Granite Bay Postal is the most conveniently located to me, but with all of these negative reviews, I won't be taking my business here. The owners haven't even bothered responding to the considerate, yet very negative customer experiences. Makes me certainly not want to find out for myself. The good news is that I just received a flyer about a UPS store opening across the street from this place (in with McDonalds and Safeway) next month (November 2016). While the parking situation at Granite Bay Postal is probably better, I also want to start at a place that will still be around in 10-20 years. I REALLY don't want to change my mailing address again. I think I can wait another month & would rather deal with the parking situation across the street than deal with repeated bad service here. Thank you Yelpers! read more
