I just wish the crostini was a little hotter and the chips are good with the hummus did taste a slight bit stale. The wine was the star of the show. I even found a red wine that I liked and I don't like red wines. The people in the tasting were So friendly and I enjoyed their company. I also got truffles/chocolate before I left. They were not bad, they just weren't my favorite. I would try other options because there were a lot to choose from. I would love to come back during one of their speciality events. Overall, I'm glad I came.

There is a bistro in a separate building, it seemed okay, we didn't get food. The wine was decent, but not stellar, so that is the four instead of five star from me. Worth a visit if you're heading up or down to Charlotte or just are in the area.

He may have appeared not nice but when I visited he was so sweet to me. I circled back and did a tasting and it was great. They do cater to the dryer palate, which I love. It was lovely trying some of the familiar ones and during my tasting, I remembered why I loved this place. The ladies that assisted me in my tasting were very knowledgeable and had excellent conversation. It was such a pleasant experience. They did let me know that the vineyard will be sold in October and hopefully, someone will continue it on. It so chill and lovely and I don't want to see it go away. If you are in the Lexington area, it's just 15 min away from Childress. I always say to support local if you can. If I had the money, I'd buy it lol. I don't want to see it go away. While they're best known for their sweet wines, they have a solid range of traditional dry offerings that I've come to appreciate more since those early days. :) The tasting room staff is friendly and knowledgeable without being pretentious, so it's perfect for wine newbies and enthusiasts alike.
