My partner and I plus a friend came here after the 2024 Pride Fest as it was a short walk away from the event and we needed to 1) get away from all of the craziness and expensive covers at bars, and 2) we really needed to eat lunch. We came here hoping for some good food with some drinks and we really enjoyed our experience overall. The place got really packed over the course of our time here with more people who had the same idea as us. With that came slower service and our server forgot a few things and mixed up our drinks but she was really nice and it didn't affect our experience all too much. My friend ordered a burger and my partner and I split an appetizer. We got pretzel bites and 1/2 pound of jumbo fried shrimp and everything was actually so good! We were impressed. After a bunch of drinks and food, the bill was pretty up there in price as expected. My only two complaints was that the bouncer guy at the beginning was a little weird and didn't make us feel exactly welcomed when he sat us. Secondly, it took forever for us to pay to get out of the place because the bartender/servers were inundated with people. They also were vaping behind the counter and not showing enough urgency when they were so many people waiting to order drinks and also customers at tables waiting on food, service, etc. I figure coming back here on a less busy day would be the best idea. Solid bar. Good drinks and good food! Nice because it is couple blocks away from Wrigley Field. They have a juke box which is cool but it only plays like 1 minute of the song you choose. Normally most Juke boxes play the full song. The service was so so. I think they were understaffed. We asked our waitress for a menu and a water 3 times when ordered our beers. My friend and I stopped by to watch the Chelsea v. Manchester game around 2pm on a Thursday. I thought the overall bar had a very friendly atmosphere filled with people who are passionate about football! There were plenty of open tables when we walked in and the waitstaff were quick to come around and were super friendly as well. We both ordered a diet coke and I got the honey butter chicken tenders with a side of curly fries. I thought that the chicken was a bit dry, but the sauce that came with it was super good. Probably the best part of the meal. The curly fries were good as well and cost an extra $3! The serving sizes are a bit smaller than what you'd expect, but I was definitely full by the end. Was in town on vacation. Had a flight at noon and wanted to watch the Arsenal match on the way to O'hare. Google "soccer bar near me", and this place was right around the corner. Showed up in my Arsenal shirt - not a kit, just a red shirt with a small Gunners logo on the shoulder. Turns out this is a Chelsea bar. No big deal, right? I have no problem with the Blues. We take some good natured ribbing, all in good fun. Then, coming out of the bathroom, the bouncer is standing there waiting for me; "You have to go". What??? "Your shirt is making people angry". Seriously. I told the guy he could either refund our drinks or we were gonna finish them. He told me to drink up and get out. Whatever. I guarantee when Pulisic was with Chelsea, I have been to Stamford Bridge more times than any other schmuck in the bar. We came here before the Cubs game and had a great experience! They have many indoor tables as well as a spacious outdoor back patio which was adorable! Everyone at my table ordered chicken tenders with fries and I tried the wagyu sliders which were SUPERB. There were 3 in the order and each came on a pillowy and perfectly buttered and toasted brioche bun and was topped with perfectly caramelized onions and a delicious burger sauce. The burgers were cooked perfectly and the whole meal was juicy and delicious. Would absolutely come back just for those sliders!! I've definitely been here in the past but don't remember much-- but that's on me and overindulging elsewhere. More recently, my friends and I decided to play trivia here on Wednesdays and we've had such a great time. The drink list is super well thought out- there's something for your low brow Truly loving friend (that's me), your cocktail lover, your beer aficionados. Drink prices are absolutely reasonable especially given the location. And the food?? I sure didn't expect a Wrigleyville bar to have such tasty eats but hey I can admit when I'm wrong! I didn't realize until just recently they were owned by the same people as The Rambler, their sister restaurant, which also has really good takes on all their bar food. I had the best time at Graystone recently in their patio area. Even on a chilly January night, it was kept to a comfortable temperature. COVID protocol was followed- social distancing and masks are definitely in place. The food was awesome, especially the tacos. They are huge and definitely not your typical taco. Came here last night with my boyfriend and a buddy to watch the Cubs and Dolphins. Great ambience for a Sunday night, didn't know this was a Vikings bar! Great prices for beers/ciders. We ordered the blackened chicken nachos and chicken tenders with tots. The nachos were a hefty serving for the price and very tasty. I was honestly surprised for bar nachos! Typically bars, just throw bland chicken breast on their nachos, but this chicken was very juicy and seasoned well. Tenders seemed like they were hand breaded and the ranch might've also been homemade. Bartender came over to check on our table frequently, which was appreciated. Greystone Tavern at 3441 N Sheffield about 1 block north of Wrigley Field. I met my Cubbie die hard friends to be there for the home opener for the Cubs 2017 season. Right after arriving it started to rain postponing the beginning of the Cubs Home Opener about 90 minutes. Part of the delay was the rain and the Cubs raising their 2016 World Series banner (F--in A). 108 years in the making. To say this was long overdue would be an understatement. Greystone is a restaurant/bar with a ton of TV's to view the sporting events. There really isn't much to differentiate this place apart from any other bars in the neighborhood They have a small food menu, but I grabbed a bite before I got there because my friend doesn't eat anything. Much to my surprise she actually ordered food and she actually ate it. Like I said the food was very non de script. The chips were straight out of a bag. I ordered a Korean taco that was very spicy. The meat was poor quality picking out pieces of fat & gristle (ehh never order that again) The only saving grace was Amy our server. She is such a sweetheart & was awesome always checking to see if we needed anything. She comp'ed us a few shots which was very nice. Last of my Wrigleyville bar hopping, this intimate bar offers a unique Hanukkah experience. Within these walls, the neighborhood bar is beautifully decorated with bright holiday lights, and of course has food, and drink specials. Vodka jelly doughnuts sounds interesting doesnt it? Greystone is the second, sorta unofficial, spillover bar for Minnesota Vikings fans after Redmond's. The Cook County Vikings Club comes here for an after party after most games. As a bar, it's pretty standard. Nothing in the way of drinks here will blow your socks off. As for the food, I've tried a few things, but not much. What I have tried was good. Not great. Standard bar food. But good. Again, nothing is going to blow your socks off, I'm guessing. So, where Greystone shines is a couple of areas. One is the staff. Super nice, friendly and outgoing. Good folks. The other is the outdoor seating, both in front and in their back patio when the weather is good. It lets you get out of the noise inside every now and then. And when the crowd is big, the noise inside gets downright noisy. This is not intimate dining. I will be back in fairly regularly when in the area, you can bet on it! read more

WOW. Was this a mistake. I explicitly ordered a plain hamburger, no cheese, no bbq, no LTO, ect. Surprise I got a loaded burger- I get it. This unfortunately happens all the time no matter how I ask. But this burger SMELLED so bad even after scraping off the cheese bacon soggy lettuce tomato sloppy onions and bbq sauce. This was a huge no go. The fries were terrible- like how?! How do you mess up fries?! I called immediately and went to voice mail twice. I'm not sure if it was made to order I'd want to eat it anyway. I hate to do this review as I am hoping this place doesn't get too busy but it is by far the best bar in Wrigley. My wife and I are Cubs season tickets holders. We come here before every game. We have a few beers and get either the tenders or the chicken nachos. Both are very good. Last time we were there we got the wagu beef sliders. OMG. These were amazing. One thing differentiates Graystone from the other Wrigleyville bars nearby: tacos! While they do have your standard pub fare like burgers and apps, the tacos are what stood out to me. They have a unique selection of Americanized tacos like Chicago Beef, Philly steak and Buffalo chicken. They even have brunch versions - highly recommend the chicken & waffle. This place is, hands down. the favorite bar of my friend group. Its a good size for me (big enough to move around but small enough to feel intimate if that's what you're going for) and there's always a great vibe. The staff are super nice and quick, I feel like I never have to wait too long for a refill. The menu is good but the tacos are the best. I love the trivia nights and the music is always great. You can also host parties there where everyone in the party buys a wristband for a set price and then just drinks until midnight. It's a great deal and we've had a bunch of birthday parties there. There's also a small back patio which is perfect for summer nights with friends. I'm so glad they made it though Covid so we can keep going. Oh ALSO- I lost my wallet there a couple of years ago and one of the servers found it, saved it and had it waiting for me at the bar when I called to check the next day. I used to love this bar. We live down the street on Sheffield so frequent it often. Chill atmosphere for those of us in the neighborhood that don't want anything to do with those gigantic bars on Clark. My love for this bar has faded because their staff is super unhygienic. I used to stop by on the way home from the Addison train. Their staff is ALWAYS smoking outside usually in front of the neighboring bar. This didn't bother me until recently when the last three times I've been there, their staff just comes in from smoking to serve food and drinks without washing their hands and reek of smoke. I mean I let it slide the first two times because it's kind of my neighborhood joint but not during these times...hopefully their management will get them to clean up... read more

Totally unexpected, awesome taco selection at this restaurant in wrigleyville. They're a sponsor of my friends softball team (20% off for the good customer discount!), so we went here after a game last Sunday and Long overstayed out welcome. We all got a variety of tacos and everyone seemed super pleased with their selection. They've got some veggie options, you classics, and some really unique ones as well. I went for the more unique options and got the fried chicken taco and the Chicago beef taco and really enjoyed them both. They were each exactly what you'd expect and want from ordering either. Were they the best tacos ever? No way. Were they delicious and just what I was looking for on a Sunday funday? Absolutely. We also tried their tots and sweet potato fries and both were quite tasty as well. Speaking of Sunday funday, it also happened to be a member of the teams birthday and the wait staff was super helpful and incredibly encouraging in egging us on to enjoy ourselves that afternoon. Despite ordering a pitcher and shots this scrub needed to come over 3 minutes to keep asking us what else we wanted to order. After only 20 minutes and already ordering shots and beer we continued to be rushed to finish and leave since we havent ordered anything else.
