Terrible service. Our bartender had to be the biggest clown Ive ever come across. Despite ordering a pitcher and shots this scrub needed to come over 3 minutes to keep asking us what else we wanted to order. Apparently too dumb to see we have a half full pitcher and were enjoying ourselves so no need to keep asking if we need more drinks. Maybe once our pitcher is done we'll let you know. After only 20 minutes and already ordering shots and beer we continued to be rushed to finish and leave since we havent ordered anything else. Apparently its not okay to enjoy your drinks and socialize to this moron. The bar was half empty so its not like there was a giant line out the door and were hogging a table. Such a great place just a shade off the beaten path of Wrigley. The bartenders are fast, experienced and hilarious!!! The kitchen puts a creative/delicious spin on tacos and burgers.........especially the smash burger! The waitresses went above and beyond to make my friends and I feel welcomed........including a shot!! Definitely the place to go if you want a slightly lower key version of Wrigleyville. This review is somewhat incomplete because I only ordered carry out; therefore, it is based upon food only. I stopped by there last night as I was craving tacos because it was Taco Tuesday duh and their menu definitely features their tacos. I love trying new places so I figured to give this a try. I ordered the BLT, California, and Cajun Shrimp tacos with corn tortillas as I am trying to eat somewhat healthy. I thought the tacos were very small for $3.50/taco, but they're probably the size that I should be eating. In comparison, Antique Taco and Velvet Tacos are almost twice as big for about $4/taco. I'm curious when ordering a flour tortilla, if they will add more fillings since they're usually bigger. My favorite was the Cajun Shrimp taco as the shrimp had good flavor with the spices. I would probably not order the other two again as they were nothing to write home about. Others I would like to try would be the Korean, Philly, Chicago Beef, and Nacho tacos. When comparing taco places in the area, I would prefer El Burrito Mexicano and Azteca Grill, but I will give them the benefit of the doubt since they specialize in them. The bar was pretty crowded as there was Trivia going on at 7:30pm. Since I live in Wrigleyville, I will have to come back and try some of their other food. Their nachos look really good! They also have some great weekly food and drink specials as well! This bar definitely has potential to be one of my local watering holes as they didn't really have the Wrigleyville "Let's get blackout drunk post-grad students" vibe. read more

God damn. This place is so ridiculously loud. They're blasting music at decibels previously only heard on the runway at O'Hare. The bar is always crowded, so you need to elbow your way past people to order drinks. I've been here twice and both times, I couldn't wait to leave. Make your friends go elsewhere, even if you have to physically drag them. I expect Jon Taffer will be arriving any minute to scream at the staff for what a disaster this place is. Went here one night for dinner. Heard they had great tacos. Spoke to the waitress and got her input on what she likes... tried out her recommendations and one of my own choosing, 3 tacos in total. The wings here are SO good so I've been back quite a few times to make to-go orders. Everyone I've come, it's take 30-45mins for my wings. So I tried ordering ahead of time on line. I was given a 15mins pick up time. I know that's not possible for this place so I have them 25. I came to get my food and waited for 15mins, trying and failing to get an answer from the staff about my food. Turns out, it's been given away (because no one monitors the online orders) The chef remade my order...which took 25 more mins. So a few weeks later, I ordered online again and went in at the specific pick up time (20mins)...and waited against the back wall by the kitchen (since there's nowhere else to wait)...for another 15mins...once again completely ignored by staff. So my review is that if that this place is only worth it if you're willing to go through some trials and tribulations for your food. read more

The Graystone Tavern has a great selection of tacos. In addition to your more standard options, they have some really interesting ones too; I really liked the spicy korean chicken taco and tempura avocado taco. They were all priced between $3 and $4 but there was a good amount of food in each one. I will definitely come back on Wednesdays when their tacos are $2 each! They also had a pretty good drink selection and beer garden with plenty of TVs. If you're not bothered by the sound of the red line passing by the beer garden every few minutes, this would be a great place to catch a game. read more

Wandered into this place after getting caught in a snowstorm, and glad I did! The bar definitely has a dive bar feel with lots of charm, and the food was awesome. I had the loaded fries and my friend ordered the tacos, which were amazing. For being a Friday night around 9/10 pm, this place wasn't very crowded, but we had a great time just hanging out with friends. We were in the area for Cubs game. We searched for 'wings' on Yelp and thanks to the helpful Yelp reviews we came across Graystone. This neighborhood bar had some really tasty and meaty wings. Try the Graystone sauce it's got a unique sweet flavor that we all enjoyed. Our waitress was friendly and helpful. The place is cleaner than you expect for a neighborhood bar and not too loud. I'll be back when in the area and you should take the extra time to find this place and grab some wings. read more

Came here on a random Wednesday night and we're pleasantly surprised by a few $4 beer selections and, even better, $2 tacos!!!! They have some pretty amazing taco choices, and all the ones my wife and I got were delicious! The service was amazing, our server was super friendly and efficient, and despite the busyness and the fact we sat outside, he was extremely helpful and never annoyed with our requests. Their draft selection is pretty decent, and of course they have even more bottled stuff. We didn't get to go back to their beer garden, bit how could it be bad? Review for delivery only: I ordered the spicy garlic wings which were flabby and the sauce was nonexistent. The wings had no flavor and just an oily coating with some garlic at the bottom of the container. There is nothing worse than flabby chicken skin on what should be a crispy wing! I also ordered the southwest burger. I appreciated the brioche bun and fresh jalapeños, but the actual burger was incredibly bland. You do realize you should season a burger right? The tater tots are amazing! I know what you are thinking "tater-tots? Way to go preschooler!" To that I say "Nay, kind Person. Tater-tots are supreme fried potato accoutrement. And The Graystone has the best!" I always order tots if they are on the menu anywhere and so often tots can be so wrong. Either fried too much or not enough. Or fried in old oil so they taste funky. The tots here are always super crispy and appropriately salty. And you get a HUGE ORDER! Huge! Shareable (or not, I don't judge) There are also tacos that are all over the place as far as flavor profiles. Fried chicken taco has mc n cheese, putting it out there. The place tends to be quite loud between sports and the hobbit hole DJ (my description because there is always a DJ in this little nook in the corner. The servers are always super nice! Excellent excellent service. We were here for the Cubs World Series game 4. Got here at 10am and got a booth for 7 of us, and our waitress was constantly checking in until we left at 10pm. Friendly staff with great service! This place is only a couple of blocks from Wrigley Field so we came here for drinks before the game. I got a simple cocktail and a beer both of which were reasonably priced. Drinks were quiet expensive at the game so we came back here and hung out in the patio area for a couple more drinks after the Cubs win!
