    BBQ beef baked potato
    Kristen P.

The Greatest BBQ has the best bbq beef potato that I've had. The brisket is so smoky and tender and the toppings are generous. They always put their sauce on the side which I appreciate - but it is delicious too. The perfect sweet spicy combo. And if all that isn't enough - these bakers are only $12. Fantastic value!

Brisket, Texas hot links, corn, dirty rice

Found this hole in the wall mom and pop bbq joint. Very small place and lots of family pictures and things on the wall. Ordered 2 separate 2 meats plates with sides. Brisket - we ask for fatty brisket but it came semi lean but was still good with their bbq sauce dip Ribs - semi chewy, worth a try Texas hot links - delicious but beware it's spicy Corn - buttery and yummy Dirty rice - super tasty and very good as a side dish with the meats Mac n cheese - soak in "sauce" - cheesy delight German Chocolate Cake - not too sweet and fluffy Tip - pay cash if you can. You will be charge 8.25% tax and another odd "state tax", then on top of that a non-cash charge. You can save all those extra charges for tips if paid with cash. We didn't know till it was too late. Besides the taxes, food was good and friendly customer service. We will be back.

I have been coming to The Greatest BBQ for over 30+ years! Great food, great service and family oriented vibes have kept me coming making a 20+ mile trip often! If you're a fan of great bbq look no further than The Greatest BBQ~blessings

German chocolate cake taste old , as if it has been sitting for a few days

I visit this establishment on 08/27/2024 , I use to eat here years ago and remember it was good especially their bbq baked potatoes , so after looking at the review I was like why not try it today , I went in , definitely changed a bit ( remolded a bit) from over the years, people playing dominoes, music playing in the background, a nice ambiance, the lady who served me was nice and that's why I rate it 2 stars , as for the quality of the food not so great , I ordered a baked potato & a rib plate , the baked potato had literally ( small scoop of meat) I had to find , a bunch of cheese on top that wasn't melted ( which is strange if the food came out hot, and not a fan of the shredded cheese that was used) with a bunch of bbq sauce and sour cream on top, for the rib plate the meat wasn't a great quality meat and very small , when we originally got it we sent it back because they automatically put bbq sauce on your meat ( in reality, real bbq establishments don't put bbq sauce on meat , the seasoning, flavor and smokiness speaks for itself, while bbq sauce is just a add on and usually on the side) and when purchased years ago it was on the side so not sure what changed , w/ the rib plate it comes with 2 sides , a desert and a drink , which is a great compliment however the sides we ordered , was supposed to be dirty rice but it just tasted like ground beef w/ white rice no flavor (not close to dirty rice) and the desert we opt into was a German chocolate cake , took a piece of the cake and can tell it has been sitting out for days , not homemade more of a box cake and dry , after this experience the quality of the food has went down hill since the original owner , and not sure if I will ever return. Price of bbq is high in this economy so the quality needs to match the price

The counter and desserts ready to tame your tastebuds. I'm ready!!!

This location was clean and COVID SAFE. You can't go wrong with them as their foods are so good and tantalizing to the tongue. Their vast array of cakes are a hit and they taste even better. I chose four (Sock It To Me, Strawberry, Lemon and Chocolate) to taste test at home and they we all really good. Come out and support this amazing BLACK OWNED BUSINESS! We need them around.

I frequent this location primarily…read morebecause of the excellent service and their menu options that accommodate my food sensitivities. Being able to accumulate Que Rewards is an added bonus. We often visit on Sundays because my husband loves the complimentary Blue Bell ice cream. The servers always greet us with the brightest smiles when offering Sunday ice cream and fresh, hot bread. There is ample seating, including comfortable booths. When you arrive, you order in line, pay at the counter, and then choose your seating. They also have a private room in the back that's available for events. They've graciously allowed us to use the space annually to host the Fort Bend Junior Service League informational meeting. The room is even equipped with a TV for presentations, which is incredibly helpful. I especially enjoy the music they play on Sundays -- it creates such a feel-good atmosphere. What's not to love about BBQ? My go-to menu item is the ribs meal, though I occasionally opt for a combo plate. My favorite sides are the potato salad and green beans. My husband is a fan of the pinto beans and can't get enough of their fresh, fluffy bread. We visit about once a month for lunch or dinner -- and it never disappoints.

I'll admit that the dine-in experience might not have encountered the hiccups we ran into for takeout so we should give leeway for that. The restaurant has a casual vibe to it and the staff is energetic and friendly. We ordered a 3 meat plate with brisket, baby back ribs, and mild sausage. For the sides, we had mac n cheese and coleslaw. We also ordered a peach cobbler with ice cream for dessert. While waiting for our order, we were offered drinks and their dangerously yeasty dinner rolls. Here's our verdict on the food. Brisket - the slices from the point were nice and tender but the slices from the flat were a little dry. Could use a little more seasoning. The people who got the flat raged this brisket lower than the other 2 places and the people who got the point rated it 2nd place. Baby back ribs - these were good Sausage - wasn't my favorite since it had the consistency of a hot dog and not a lot of flavor other than salt Mac n cheese - very unforgettable and bland Coleslaw - too sweet Peach cobbler - good but my sister thought there was too much crust Overall, it's an ok BBQ place with some hits and misses and good for a casual night out with the family.

Killen's never disappoints…read more Their beef ribs were just short of amazing. Juicy, succulent, tender. For a giant piece of meat on the bone, they worked wonders. You can ask to see the piece of rib before they cut it for you and they will happily oblige (patrons behind you might not be so thrilled with that move, but they'll live). Sides were excellent as were the mashed potatoes with white gravy on the side, green beans that were just tender enough, but also a bit crunchy. Perfect. They were seasoned with pork, so if that's not your thing, you might want to skip it. We also ordered their shareable onion rings, easily enough for three people that were huge, hot, and crispy. Let's get this out of the way, some of their prices are a little up there, but if you're anything like me, and don't frequent BBQ places often, it's a rare but enjoyable treat. Sometimes you have to splurge and live a little. Also, they have their regular sauce on tables, but you now have to ask the cashier for their sublime coffee BBQ sauce. Don't be shy, ask. It's worth it. Oh, pro tip: If you want beef ribs, the 'plate' is actually cheaper and a better deal than 'by the pound', so save a little money and get two sides.

I arrived around 5:35 PM, about 25 minutes before closing, and ordered 1/2 lb of brisket and 1/2 lb of ribs. The brisket was $17, and unfortunately it was extremely greasy and so overcooked that the meat had become mushy. It still had good flavor, but the texture was nothing like the brisket I've normally gotten here. Judging by what I received, it felt like I may have gotten what was left at the end of the day. The ribs were $12, and my "1/2 lb" consisted of two individual ribs. They tasted good, but they weren't nearly as tender as I've had here before. I paid about $29 just for the meat, and for that price I expected much better quality and portioning. I understand that I came close to closing time, but I still paid full price and should receive the same quality of food as any other customer. If the brisket is past its best or there isn't enough left to make a proper order, I'd rather be told that so I can order something else. I'm not writing the place off because they've been good to me many times before. But this particular order was definitely not up to their usual standard, and the pictures speak for themselves.

Perfectly juicy, tender, and packed with smoky flavor. But what really puts this place over the top is the tater tot casserole. Great sides can make the meal, and this one absolutely does. It's ridiculously good... like I'd happily eat an entire bowl of just the casserole. We ordered the brisket, pork ribs, beef rib, both sausages, and, of course, a whole lot of tater tot casserole. While you're waiting in line, they hand out samples of the brisket so you can decide whether you want lean or fatty. Fatty all day for me. The beef rib was massive and had an incredible smoky flavor, but low-key, I think the sausages ended up being my favorite meat of the day. They were juicy, flavorful, and didn't get overshadowed by everything else. We got there around 11:00 a.m. on a Saturday and waited about an hour in line. It sounds long, but they make it easy with water and drinks available for purchase while you wait. The staff was friendly the entire time- from the people managing the line to the servers and the bussers making rounds through the dining room. Whatever you do... don't skip the tater tot casserole

My fish was cooked to perfection. It was fried hard & the batter was crispy. The batter didn't miss a pinch of seasoning. Probably one of the best fried catfish's I've had. The green beans and cabbage were forgettable. Seasoning wasn't really there except for heat. My friend sandwich was decent. The bread was nicely toasted with butter. The meat could've been more tendered but not bad because it was seasoned. Maybe a little salty but better than bland. The fries was definitely made in house and it was delicious. My kool aid was made just right, sweet. Overall, it was very good. I would come back just for the catfish. They definitely made it with love. Next time I'll try something different along with the catfish as well. Shoutout to Regina, I think she's the owner/manager. Great service.
