We had a great meal at Real Seafood in Estero! We were with a good friend who had eaten here before and liked it so we gave it a try. It was about 8 pm on a Wednesday evening and there was no wait for a table. I had a Caesar salad to start which was delicious. Mains were scallops, scallop risotto and the sea bass. All were excellently prepared and completely devoured! The restaurant is slightly more fancy than it is casual, the vibe more wine sipping than margarita chugging. Servers were very professional and attentive. We sat inside which had a warm, almost steakhouse decor. There was also outdoor seating available looking out over Coconut Point's pond with fountain, so it has an attractive view. Plenty of parking. We will make a point to come again! read more

While the ambiance and service was fantastic, I was disappointed with the food execution during our dining visit. Unsure if we'd visit again... -The bread rolls were delightful and super garlicky! We could have eaten baskets of them. -Our table split the crab fried rice side for an appetizer. The dish was fine but I didn't enjoy sauce surrounding it and the crab was tough -My mahi mahi was cooked well and super flavorful and rich from the adobe. TL;dr version: Very nice place to go for a moderately fancy seafood dinner with fantastic food, outstanding service, romantic ambiance, and fair pricing for what you get. Ambiance: dimly lit, well decorated, roomy seats, starched napkins; perfect for a fancy dinner. Bathroom was nice and clean and had the fancy paper towels in a basket. Service: Excellent. Server Ashley was very friendly and attentive. When the bar took a while to get our cocktails together, she actually brought the shaker over to the table to pour them and get them served. Kept us abreast of any delays. The front hostess was very nice and had our table ready for us a few minutes early. Sat at the bar while we waited for our reservation time, and the bartender was terrific as well. Food: outstanding. The oysters were served ice cold and seemed fresh (I would hope so, this is Florida, after all). The lobster bisque was to die for. The ahi tuna was cooked precisely as my husband requested. Great food, great service, this is the place to go! With my experience as a professional food critic back in South Florida, I have to say the food here is damn good. Compliments to the cook team and the general manager Olivier for providing a great experience on 12/31. Our waitress Shaylee was extremely kind and welcoming as she recommended numerous dishes. My pick was the whole fried snapper, my partner's was the seared ahi tuna. Not even 5 minutes goes by before the plates land on our table. The whole snapper tasted extremely fresh, each dish bursting in flavor. The side of rice and pickled vegetables complemented the entire dish. The seared tuna was fresh as well, and the crispy rice cubes were amazing. Both of our plates were garnished with an extremely flavorful sauce. Highly recommended dishes. For dessert we ended the night with the banana foster bread pudding. 10/10. Soft and warm, with a nice balance of sweet and richness. Caramel had a nice rum flavor that wasn't too overpowering. Very disappointed on my first visit. Service at the bar was average at best during a non busy happy hour. After I ordered 1/2DZ $2.99 oysters bartender offered bread which we said yes to but never received even with our meals. Bartender waited at least 15 minutes before he even remembered to put my oyster order in. Partner and I each ordered the lobster roll and I added the optional $4.99 Caesar's salad. The salad was very good. We both ordered fries with the lobster roll my partner got fries and I got stale potato chips. I'm not going to wreck the night by sending something back over a minor error. It was a combination of poor service and very mediocre food quality at high prices. The restaurant was very clean and nice but only had perhaps slightly more than a dozen clients dining and certainly wasn't over crowded. If this how it is now they need to do some serious training before winter season rolls around in a couple weeks. Otherwise they won't be here in the winter of 2027. read more

This is a tale of two visits. We went to Real Sea Food the day after it opened, it was horrible, there were 6 of us. All the food came very late and very wrong!!! Finally the restaurant manager came to our table and apologized, they were overwhelmed and our server was new. Well, we went again last night and it was a complete reversal!!! The food was very good (loved the sea food gazpacho!!! Very yummy and very filling. The service was great, almost like the new about our old experience (which they did not). We started with oysters on the half shell and the crab guacamole. Delicious. For entrees, I had the whole red snapper. Wow, this was a great pick. Nice flaky flesh, really fresh, and cooked to perfection. My wife had the shrimp and scallops risotto- I tried a bite and this may be my entree the next time we go! My daughter tried the lobster. I rarely give a Five Star review as it takes a really great restaurant to deserve it but this one does! My wife had the clam chowder to start and it was divine, I know because I got a spoon full. We were very impressed with everything about Real Seafood. First, we had a wonderful, attentive and knowledgeable server. Unfortunately I forgot his name but when the manager came around, we told her how great he was. There were 4 in our party. Dishes ordered include: lobster mac and cheese, fish tacos, paella, jambalaya and clam chowder. The Mac and cheese was good, however, I'm used to it having big chucks of lobster. This dish had very small pieces of lobster. It was also supposed to come with breadcrumbs on the top but my dish didn't. The flavor was delicious though and I'd order it again. The fish tacos were full of blacked grouper and were very good. The paella was amazing and included a half lobster, clams, muscles, shrimp and chicken over rice. The jambalaya was delicious with a nice spice to it. The clam chowder was delicious (however, that description was from someone from Ohio. 2 of us are from Cape Cod, so take that description with a grain of salt ) Next time I go I will get the chowder and update my review We all liked how the menu was on an iPad and you could click on the menu item to see its actual picture. Our table was on the patio (I asked when I made the reservation) It was a lovely night and we were far enough away from other tables that we were actually able to have a conversation without it being so loud. Almost 3 years to the day Mrs. K. and I made reservations and came into Real Seafood for Grouper Fest. I had no Idea I attended grouper fest in 2019. Looked at my previous review and I really liked it. I have to admit I really liked it again. What stands out was the bill was within a few dollars of my 2019 bill. So what once was oh my so expensive became oh my not so expensive. I ordered the grouper Veracruz. It came with red and green peppers and grilled onion on top of the grouper. Underneath the grouper was asparagus and next to the grouper was a really nice rice. It was one of those meals that you don't want to end yet all good things come to an end. I was so happy! But I really got shocked when I saw they wanted almost $8 for it. I saw it on their online menu and it was $4.95, even at that price I didn't really want it. Had to call over the manager due to a discrepancy in their online menu where you can order through. She said it had not been updated with the new prices (Quick order online it's cheaper!) lol Well, I said keep the slice then. She did the right thing and told me I could have it anyway and fixed our bill Upon thinking back, the server never checked back with us after our food was served till it was all over. Food was very good; service not as great. Drinks should ALWAYS be served first! Our appetizer and bread came out before drinks. Salad was next and one minute later, dinner was served. Could not enjoy salad and felt rushed. We ordered dessert which took 25 minutes to arrive?! Asked waiter twice, he responded that the pantry is working on it.
