Haven't been here since it was remodeled and I was disappointed. There were white flakes at the bottom of my beer I think maybe the glass was dirty idk but that is not the reason for my 1 star. The service was horrible, they need a new bartender. Girl there was busy talking to some guy and not doing her job. If they had an attentive bartender I would have stayed longer. We consider ourselves regulars here, even though we don't come every week like we use to. That being said, we love coming here and having great service. Tonight we showed up later than normal to gamble and have a few drinks with Kelsey. Ended up playing a few games of pool also and played music that everyone was vibing to. So far, i love this place. All the employees I have met are wonderful people full of great conversations. All patrons in the place seem to be pretty chill and happy as well. A few more gaming machines would be a plus. During peak hours, it's hard to get a seat with a slot attached in front of it. 1 great pinball machine and an old school arcade game could do a lot for ambiance. I will always be coming back here and recommending the place to whomever will listen. Like I said, all the employees are great and do their job well. But when I walk in and I see Stacy is bartending, I have to admit it makes me even more glad to be there. Her cheery personality is contagious. I always have the most wonderful time here! I was originally brought in by Kelsey who promoted the property with the $20 match play cards so I brought my boyfriend and two friends. We had an amazing time! This place is NOT close to where I live but honestly I'd rather come here than any other bar because of the customer service. If you're lucky enough to get Kels as a bartender you're going to have an amazing time. She has an amazing personality and knows how to make you feel right at home. The bathrooms are so clean!! There is a food menu as well. My boyfriend got the 1/2 lemon pepper chicken tenders and I got cheese fries! He said the tenders with the seasoning was absolutely amazing and the flavors were so fresh, tasty, and also tangy! My cheese fries were tasty as well (in classic Regina George fashion, duh). Anyways the only negative thing about this place is when there's something going on at Sam Boyd but other than that. 10/10!! read more

We love apache joes!! All of the bartenders are great except Tara or Kara whatever her name is. We sat there for a couple hours and spent well over $300 in the machines. As soon as Tara came on shift she told us the owners were watching us on camera and weren't playing enough. She had another couple waiting to play which were HER FRIENDS! So she said the owners were watching and we haven't played enough..lol we have been playing constantly for 3 hours.. So if the owners are really watching... you should check out your bartender tara because she is using you to bring her friends to the tables and assaullting verbally lolyal customers that actually came to your bar to have a good time. Apache Joe's has a great vibe that is very relaxed. It's a great place to stop by for a nice cold beer, as they always have great prices and awesome specials. They have an annual cook-off every May the regulars will show off some cooking and win great prizes along with bragging rights. It's a convenient spot for some pregame for any UNLV, or event at Sam Boyd. The bartenders are friendly. Seems like a nice local hangout. Decent number of TVs, video poker machines, and lots of games including pool, ping pong, foosball, darts, and this basketball arcade-type machine that two dudes were tag-teaming on. Nothing fancy in the decor. Everybody looked like they were having a good time. I didn't try any of the food. My friend got us some beer, which is apparently $6.25 and comes in a giant mug. I opted for the Newcastle brown ale, which left a bit of an aftertaste that basically walled me when I was going through the task of finishing that gigantic drunk. Since I was starting to blow my nose, I felt like there should be some visible garbage disposals or something. I couldn't find them. I saw some UNLV pennants. There is a waitress there that was very nice but we found out last night she's no longer there, I think her name was Kara. Sad b/c she was a very good waitress. There was a new girl there that was nice but she overcharged us for our bill. I didnt pay the bill but when I saw the ticket afterward I was naturally unhappy. Now the girl has only been there 2 days but regardless, When you overcharge, you lose business. We ordered chips and salsa - was more like chips and chopped onions. Gross. The tuna supreme which is normallya wesome, wasnt great, the normal chef wasnt on staff. Should have known. If he's not a white haired man w/ the chef coat, don't order food! My bf ordered the nachos and he said they were good, but how can you mess up nachos? lol. This is my neighborhood bar. I have driven by for years and always think I wanna stop in sometime. It only took 7 years but I finally made it. Def a locals place. Seemed like most of the patrons knew each other. They were all really friendly. Drinks were super cheap. We got 4 or 5 drinks and our tab was only $25. Normally I am ecstatic if I can get 2 drinks for $25. I'm not sure if the bartender was hooking us up or those were regular prices but I'll be back to find out. read more

My good friend owns a house in the adjoining neighborhood so I've been here quite a few times. The first thing you should be aware of is that it is a DIVE bar. There really is nothing fancy or aesthetically pleasing about this place-- its mostly for people who want cheap liquor and want to play video poker at the bar. There is an array of regular barflies here who tend to be pretty serious drinkers and smokers. If you're a non smoker, you WILL be annoyed by the constant smell of cigarette smoke-- it permeates throughout the bar. Some of the crowd apparently has pretty terrible taste in music as is evidenced by their choices on the karaoke machine. The crowd tends to be middle aged folks-- its not particularly trendy for college aged kids. It's an easy walk from the Sam Boyd stadium but I don't recall ever seeing any UNLV students in there. However, there are some pros to this place. The drinks are pretty well priced, as you'd expect from a place like this. The bartenders are usually pretty friendly, and they don't have that snobbish attitude I have come to expect from the ones working on the strip. They have a pool table, foosball, ping pong, The food isn't half bad either. I think their wings are pretty standard, as are their nachos, but some of their sandwiches are pretty good, including their reuben (i think they make one??) and philly cheesesteaks, which offer generous portions of meat. Their burgers are good and I happen to be a big fan of their chilli cheese fries. They serve breakfast foods too like pancakes and eggs and the like, not bad. I recommend you try it on a Tuesday, when the half priced food will definitely make it worth the trip. read more

We used to come here often for the drinks and karaoke nights. Just a small party of us, one of our friends was a regular here at the bar and she had invited me over. Had so much fun and singing! Loved the red apple martinis since I wasn't huge on alcohol. Last I heard from a friend that karaoke nights stopped. I don't know why. Bar offers billiard games and provide accommodations for setting up ping pong games as well; along with few fun arcade games which I made this a 4-star. read more

I have never eaten here. I generally get takeout from Alexander's Pizza, across the parking lot, after a night at AJ's (see review for Alexander's here - http://www.yelp.com/biz/alexanders-pizza-las-vegas#hrid:SN59kUUOlQcLkvxV43hvMQ) . AJ's is good for video poker. We go very occasionally, usually on a Thursday, Friday or Saturday evening. The staff is pretty stable, seems they are there for some time so they know their clients pretty well. In over three years we've only had like 3 different bartenders that we've seen. That's really nice. They do a lot of events and giveaway parties. We were there one time during the women's soccer game against China. One door prize was a big TV and a someone new to the bar won. So it was cool, you don't necessarily have to be a regular like at some of the bars around here. There were plenty more prizes, even we won a nice wine basket. Everyone is welcoming. And they have darts (so few options in Vegas do), Golden Tee, pool and PING PONG was set up last time we were there. It was awesome. We've been there during karaoke and a DJ and it was fine as well. This place is pathetic! I sat at the bar trying to order a drink for over 20 minutes. It took so long a local told me they should come over soon trying to cover for them. I order a jack and water and the barrender ends up stopping and talking to someone else (non work related) for awhile before he brings me my change and a tequila water........ When I try to reorder the correct drink he cards me again, like wtf. There were only 10 people there, if that. I go to smoke outside and when I try to come back in the door is locked (automatic type locks)...... I would not recommend this place to anyone what-so-ever! I actually like the place, it's fairly clean and the service is pretty cool there. I've seen other reviews of bad things but I've not had a bad experience until last night. I guess the bartender and my bro had a little problem. But all in all, I like the place compared to other watering holes I've been to. Great for the game! The kitchen is open 24 hours a day with a full menu from Alexander's across the parking lot. I really like going there. The music and the people are nice.
