    Grey Dog's Breakfast

If you are staying at the Courtyard or Residence Inn on 54th, then you need to take a short walk over to The Grey Dog for breakfast! It's a diamond in the rough! Cozy and plenty of seating and bar top area! Sat at the bar top since it was packed and still the bartender who was also my server maintained each person with excellent service! Wanted to have French toast and eggs but didn't want to order two plates. They had the Grey Dog's breakfast! It had everything I wanted! Eggs, choice of bacon or sausage, home fries, and a choice of French toast or pancakes! Perfect combo with the right portion! Give them a try and you won't go wrong!!!

Such a lovely spot in Columbus circle. We're able to walk in a 1145 and get a nice table for two. Server was so friendly and helpful! Adorable vibes with the paw print on the cappuccino and the food was DELICIOUS!!

The Grey Dog was a perfect breakfast spot. We had Reservations at 10:45 am and were unable to get an uber so we walked. We got there at 11 am and they were able to seat us. It was delicious. The decor was very cool and we loved the windows. Our waitress was great too.

Grey dog from top to bottom was a very pleasant experience . Their grey dog breakfast consisting of eggs , pancakes ,potatoes and avocados were definitely a hit for the most part.. . The avocados felt somewhat out of place in the dish and I would've loved to have had it swapped out for something else perhaps a (non pork meat option ) but that's just my opinion. The potatoes though were incredible and my favorite part of the meal. I ate every last one but everything else on the plate felt very fresh and also tasted good . I don't remember my waitress's name but she was also amazing . She was super attentive, very friendly and was simply a rockstar in her role . Although it was close quarters to other diners , I also loved the atmosphere there especially upstairs and the other friendly workers really helped to create a calm relaxed vibe that made the experience more memorable . I will highly recommend this spot and specifically this location for brunch .

Had a run in central park and needed a place for brunch after. Came across this spot and walked in and was able to get a seat on the second floor right away. Very friendly service across the board who made sure we had everything we needed throughout the meal. We ordered the Grey Dog Breakfast and I got that with eggs, pancakes, sausage, and home fries. Everything was very good, though the home fries stood out for me. Great crisp and not as oily as I've had at other similar locations. Cute location nearby Columbus Circle with two floors of seating. Would recommend for brunch.

This is such a cool spot with great vibes. The workers were polite, attentive and accommodating. The food was abundant and delicious. What we didn't eat we took with us. The banana pancakes were fluffy and the syrup wasn't too sweet. My omelette was flavorful with fresh ingredients. The wings were a little too well done and dry but seasoned well. So, no foul. With the cost of food these days, it was money well spent.

I think I have found my new favorite spot! I was so excited the opened in Hell's Kitchen/Columbus Circle. Came for brunch and had the best time. The chorizo hash was out of this world - delicious and a huge portion served with an egg cooked my choice, bread and greens. Friend had the chicken club with sweet potato fries and raved. The service is amazing. Everyone from the hostess to all the servers we interacted with were outstanding. Everyone checked on us and helped out. They even offered coffee cups to go. Cute spot with two floors and plenty of seating. Prices are quite reasonable and the menu is big with lots of tasty options. Definitely worth a visit!

Great breakfast spot! We came on a Sunday and it was super crowded so definitely recommend coming with a reservation. My friend had a gluten allergy and they were very accommodating and very cautious with the food! She had avocado toast which came on the fluffiest GF bread! I made my own omelette which was delicious. Definitely recommend!

I am so happy Grey Dog opened a location in midtown! The food options are always great and the drinks are even better - especially with their happy hour. :) I have been obsessed with their spinach & artichoke dip. It is so creamy, tasty and addictive! Especially with the chips they pair it with. I also had their grilled cheese dippers with tomato soup, which is wonderful hearty appetizer. For my main meal, I ordered the Grey Dog club which comes with turkey, bacon. cheddar, tomato and greens. The sourdough bread was pressed and crunchy - just the way I like it. They also come with fries. I also enjoy their breakfast foods. If you are in search of a nice comfort meal during your workday, this is the place to go!

Delicious lunch tucked away on 56th (8/9) next to Columbus Circle. Had the chilaquiles, fried chicken and corn pancakes and grilled cheese and tomatoe soup dippers starters. Everything was delicious and service was warm, friendly and quick. Will be back to try the salted caramel pancakes / brunch'.

New Grey Dog location recently opened up near Columbus Circle! Been to the other locations and am a fan of their food especially their breakfast foods! This one has the similar interior decor to the other but is new! 4.5/5 I ordered a omelette (as a scramble) with home fries, mushroom. They add some seasoning to their home fries which is really good. I added a side of chicken too (a bit on more dry side but still good) Convenient location: Just a 7 minute walk from the 7th Avenue and 55th street station. And just a few minutes walk to Central Park and Columbus circle. Staff were friendly and attentive and often came by to check on us often! Would come back here again!

Grey Dog's Breakfast minus eggs. The food and service was great!

Visiting NY and was looking for a breakfast place near my hotel with great pancakes. The reviews did not lie. The pancakes were great along with the rest of the food.

It was dark when we entered the coffee shop but an ajar door gave way to the bar. The decor is a homage to the works of Nikola Tesla, which can be seen in the subtle electric theme throughout the space and the naming of the cocktails. The space isn't too large - the bar and stools take up most of the space but they also have some booths/tables. The place looks great. The cocktail menu is very creative - I got one of their seasonal mixes that was actually two drinks in one. The main cocktail was meant to be sipped first and they provided a small glass of beer to be sipped after. The name escapes me but it was very good. Since we had cocktails at dinner, we only stayed for one round. Service was good, and overall I enjoyed my time at Patent Pending. I would definitely return to explore more of their menu.
