Greek Goddess Salad

So thankful we happened upon this place! Things that made it amazing: JESSIE welcomed us as we walked in and his genuine, friendly demeanor continued as he provided his thoughts on various food items and delivered our food. FRIED ARTICHOKES were soooo good. I was hesitant because it's always a let down when ordering such an item and you receive overly fried, overly seasoned artichoke pieces but these were nothing of the like! GREEK GODESS SALAD was a delicious, fiber-filled bowl of goodness. The fried olives were a tasty addition and the sesame encrusted croutons were great, too. VEGAN BURGER was juicy and flavorful, likely due to the addition of the fried onions, mushrooms, roasted pepper, and chipotle mayo. (We added American cheese and swapped out the vegan bun.) I would definitely return, especially on a Friday evening while they have Trivia Night (7p-9p)!

This is such a cool spot with great vibes. The workers were polite, attentive and accommodating. The food was abundant and delicious. What we didn't eat we took with us. The banana pancakes were fluffy and the syrup wasn't too sweet. My omelette was flavorful with fresh ingredients. The wings were a little too well done and dry but seasoned well. So, no foul. With the cost of food these days, it was money well spent.

Great breakfast spot! We came on a Sunday and it was super crowded so definitely recommend coming with a reservation. My friend had a gluten allergy and they were very accommodating and very cautious with the food! She had avocado toast which came on the fluffiest GF bread! I made my own omelette which was delicious. Definitely recommend!

Delicious lunch tucked away on 56th (8/9) next to Columbus Circle. Had the chilaquiles, fried chicken and corn pancakes and grilled cheese and tomatoe soup dippers starters. Everything was delicious and service was warm, friendly and quick. Will be back to try the salted caramel pancakes / brunch'.

I am so happy Grey Dog opened a location in midtown! The food options are always great and the drinks are even better - especially with their happy hour. :) I have been obsessed with their spinach & artichoke dip. It is so creamy, tasty and addictive! Especially with the chips they pair it with. I also had their grilled cheese dippers with tomato soup, which is wonderful hearty appetizer. For my main meal, I ordered the Grey Dog club which comes with turkey, bacon. cheddar, tomato and greens. The sourdough bread was pressed and crunchy - just the way I like it. They also come with fries. I also enjoy their breakfast foods. If you are in search of a nice comfort meal during your workday, this is the place to go!

Super cute restaurant with lots of great options. Tried their gluten free brunch options. Especially loved the fried chicken over cornmeal pancakes with chili maple syrup...the pancakes were so fluffy! Service was great as well.

New Grey Dog location recently opened up near Columbus Circle! Been to the other locations and am a fan of their food especially their breakfast foods! This one has the similar interior decor to the other but is new! 4.5/5 I ordered a omelette (as a scramble) with home fries, mushroom. They add some seasoning to their home fries which is really good. I added a side of chicken too (a bit on more dry side but still good) Convenient location: Just a 7 minute walk from the 7th Avenue and 55th street station. And just a few minutes walk to Central Park and Columbus circle. Staff were friendly and attentive and often came by to check on us often! Would come back here again!

Excellent spot for post NYC half brunch! Amazing menu, with lots of yummy entree options and delicious cocktails. Loved the spice level of my Bloody Mary and the egg and cheese croissant was exactly what I needed after running 13.1 miles. The decor was also so charming in here! My family loved the carved maps on the tables.

Chilaquiles

Came here for breakfast after spotting the place a few times during my commute. Good lighting, low ceilings and I'm unsure if they have a 2nd floor- though it appeared they may have. It was pretty busy for Sunday brunch but it could've been due to the half marathon too. Was able to snag a seat at the Bar. Ordered myself a chilaquiles which immediately peaked my interest when browsing the menu- I love exploring the many versions restaurants take on the dish. Bartenders were sweet and didn't take long to get to my order despite how busy it was. The dish itself was tasty, filling and a pretty big portion- though I wish it had more crema. I really enjoyed the chorizo and the avocado was fresh. I see myself coming back to try some of the other options and their happy hour.

The plater and eggs

Writing Food was pretty good overall. I really enjoyed my French toast, and my sister liked her eggs. The server was very sweet and lovely, but there were a few misses during our visit. My coffee was forgotten at first, and when it was brought out, I was told sugar had already been added, but it hadn't. We also asked if the toast could come out as soon as possible since my sister wasn't feeling well, but it ended up coming out with the rest of the food, so we had quite a wait. We also waited a while for someone to come back so we could even ask for the check. Overall, the food was good, but the service timing could definitely be improved.

It was my first time there but I was expecting the menu I saw online, not this new one. We tried 2 drinks: one inspired by Turkish figs and one inspired by lemons and the "Miracle Berry", which inverts your palate and turns sour into sweet! I really enjoyed both drinks. The figs one came with a sweet fig granola bite and the lemon one really did taste sweet after eating the "Miracle Berry"! I'd definitely come back to try their many other drinks.

I liked how they organized the menu by country/geography to facilitate an understanding of the flavor profiles. I got two of the date & fig-flavored smoked whisky drinks and it was a well made, balanced, and very good. Not cheap at some $25 or something, but middle of Manhattan with some creative ingredients means I guess it is what it is. Servers seemed a bit annoyed to have to deal with us shortly before close as I think they were hoping to usher people out and close down maybe a little early. One the one hand I get it, on the other hand you've got two paying customers on a slow night.

They're experimental, whimsical, delicious, and worth every penny. My absolute favorite is Child of Light, and my BF's was High Frequency Device. The interior was dimly lit, with a couple of candles per table or counter. It's a perfect place for a date night. And while there may be a wait on busier nights, it's always worth the wait. We were sat at the bar once and were very well taken care of by our bartender, Nikola. It was a Sunday night, so it wasn't terribly busy. We chatted up a storm and he was able to create some drinks off the menu just for fun (on request). He also made my BF and me a couple of drinks to celebrate our anniversary too. Wonderful people and wonderful service. Needless to say, we will be back as frequently as we can!

It was dark when we entered the coffee shop but an ajar door gave way to the bar. The decor is a homage to the works of Nikola Tesla, which can be seen in the subtle electric theme throughout the space and the naming of the cocktails. The space isn't too large - the bar and stools take up most of the space but they also have some booths/tables. The place looks great. The cocktail menu is very creative - I got one of their seasonal mixes that was actually two drinks in one. The main cocktail was meant to be sipped first and they provided a small glass of beer to be sipped after. The name escapes me but it was very good. Since we had cocktails at dinner, we only stayed for one round. Service was good, and overall I enjoyed my time at Patent Pending. I would definitely return to explore more of their menu.

As I walked in and saw just how swanky this place is I panicked - there was no way we could just walk in here without a reservation, right? But the hostess was, thankfully, so down to earth. I was straight up like hey I totally messed up and thought we could just walk in here, she was like you know what, let me see what we have. Lo and behold, she did have a table for us - as long as we were out in an hour and a half, which was just the right amount of time. Stepping into this place feels like you're in some secret, super special cocktail club. Decor is super high end, vibes are upscale AF. The cocktail menu is incredible -- and incredibly pricey, but truly worth it. I ordered the Valentino which was strong and sweet, really well made. They gave out a complimentary nut mix that was also delicious. Service was swift and gracious. If you're looking for a spot to impress a date, this is it.

The mint Moroccan tea gave the drink a cool, refreshing taste on every sip. I also tried the Silver Screen, the closest drink I could find to an old fashioned. It was interesting, there was definitely a hint of a buttery taste. Overall a really balanced bourbon drink. I walked in and found room at the standing tables. I had never been to…read moreEleven Madison Park before and wanted to check it out, not realizing at first that Clemente Bar is a separate concept from the restaurant. We walked in without a reservation around 6:20 p.m., and they were able to accommodate us at a shared table until 7:15. The menu surprised me a bit. Since I associated the address with Eleven Madison Park, I wasn't expecting to see items like wings stuffed with sausage, which were done in partnership with Jungsik. We ordered those along with the mushroom burger and asked them to cut the burger in half for us. The cocktail menu was creative and a little intimidating, with unconventional ingredients like cream cheese and green curry. I went with a fruity Hendrick's-based drink, and my friend ordered the spicy green curry martini. Both were good. Mine didn't taste very strong, but it also wasn't overly sweet because there was enough bitterness to balance it out. The green curry martini was more adventurous but still worked. Service was mixed. There was a woman standing near us, so we tried ordering food with her, but she seemed hesitant to come over. Maybe she wasn't a server or was newer. For drinks, she brought over someone more seasoned, who quickly helped guide us based on our preferred taste profiles. Her suggestions were very good. The mushroom burger was the highlight for me. It was a little salty, but the crispy mushroom and soft bun were a great combination. I honestly wished I had more than half. The wings were okay. They were crispy on the outside and juicy inside, but coated in a Dorito-like powder that made them very messy. Overall, it was a good experience, and I'd come back, especially for the mushroom burger.
