    Pigs in a blanket
    Hannah N.

I love when I go to a spot and want to order everything in the appetizer menu because I love to snack on multiple things. We actually came here during the superbowl not knowing that they would have the game on but they did and being our last night in the city we got to enjoy tasty bites and drinks and watch the game with the sound on in a not super crazy or crowded bar - perfect night! Since it was the super bowl I had to go for the pigs in a blanket and they were super good! We also got the cheeseburger egg rolls, I will say they are super pickle flavored which I typically don't love, and we also got the steamed bao buns that had duck confit. I wish I knew our servers name because she was so kind and helpful with drinks and everything throughout our time there since we were there for awhile. I would definitely come back here the next time I come to the city!

Elgin with the truffle fries was amazing

The Elgin burger with bacon added hands down better then the onion soup burger ...the onion soup burger was more bland lacked seasoning very boring like the soup so if you like that cool but the Elgin definitely hits.. but the place is the best staff was great

This is my regular go to bar located right in the heart of midtown Manhattan on 48 th street next to Rockefeller .They have a great variety of draft & bottled beers to choose from. I love their truffle cheese fries . Their other bar bites are also great to taste. This place gets madly crowded post office hours from 5 to 8 after which there's decent room and tables available. My only wish is that they had a good happy house offering , I do hope they introduce a happy hour menu in the future!

Busy pub with upscale bar food in midtown. Reservations available. Butternut squash soup: 3 out of 5 stars - i like a little more sweetness French onion soup burger: 4 stars out of 5 - an above average burger that did not taste like French onion soup Good beer selection and extensive whiskey list.

Summer salad with the grilled chicken added (extra cost).

A great place to go only 2 blocks from Radio city music hall. Service was good. Food was good. Walking through the beautiful old school looking authentic nyc bar it felt overly warm on a hot August eve but our table had air conditioning. It was just a little bit tight seating and a bit loud. But hey, it's NYC! My companion had the Elgin burger (yummy fries with dip) and I had the summer salad with grilled chicken.

French onion soup burger best burger I've ever had PERIOD! I loved it so much I came back the next day and had it again!! Everyone else in my party's food looked good but the world went away when I tasted that thing. The place is lovely we sat upstairs overlooking the bar. Great affordable spot in mid town.

Overall it was a nice meal! The cheeseburger egg roll was my absolute favorite followed by the duck bao buns ! The tuna nachos were also decent. Pasta was a little bit too al dente but I took the rest to go and it was actually delicious the next day! As far as the French onion burger, it was decent as well. Our waitress was superb and the bar itself has a nice vibe. Would definitely come back again!

Only came here for a quick round of cocktails and beers! Fun trendy place with a friendly bartender. Definitely want to come back to try more cocktails and their food. Looks like a good spot to catch up with friends or come in post work.

My wife and I stopped at the Elgin in NYC for a bite to eat before we went to a concert at Radio Music City Hall. It was very crowded thankfully we were able to be seated right away. Service was decent but it did appear they didn't have enough waiters or waitresses. Food was very good. Appears to be a good spot for drinks and apps. A bit on the noisy side but it was fine.

We picked this place based on location and YELP reviews. It seemed as if it was packed with locals, and I do mean PACKED. Most people were in the front of The Elgin where the door is located. They seemed to be celebrating the end of the work day (it was mid-week) and they celebrated loudly. We were seated in the back of the restaurant, but it was still very loud and very dark (photos were a challenge). Never the less, it suited our needs and our tummies. My daughter had the Smashed Avocado Toast: feta, radish, pumpkin seed, and pickled onion. She declared it as "excellent." My grand daughter had the mozzarella sticks an fries (the usual version), and I had the Apple Gorgonzola Salad: lettuce, candied walnuts, red onion, blackberries, blue cheese, apples, and apple cider vinegar. I thought it was quite good. I wouldn't recommend The Elgin for a romantic, quiet dinner, but if you are looking for a spirited place, this is a good choice. It's located right next to Rockefeller Center.

The French dip with fries had great flavor. Also tried the French onion soup burger that tased amazing. Liked the old-timey vibe of the restaurant. Our server was alright, she filled drinks as needed and brought cocktails quickly. Don't waste your time on the truffle fries. Not worth it in my opinion.

Made. Reservation here for a girls lunch and was not disappointed. We wanted someplace close to the tree, and someplace festive, and this did not disappoint on all points. Beautiful space, plenty of room, and not super loud Service was stellar, even though we were tapping and barely able to make decisions :) We ordered some of the special cocktails (had their version of an old fashioned, it was quite good!!) my friend did a non alcoholic drink with passion fruit and had them add tequila, and it was outstanding! We ordered the turkey sandwich which was delicious and the tuna nachos, which I thought were really good. A nice change and great flavors from regular nachos! Prices were great, never felt rushed and just a really enjoyable time!

The staff have always been friendly and extremely knowledgeable; it is really handy when you can say you live in San Francisco, what do you have that I can only get out here? You can tell it is a good place in Hell's Kitchen/Times Square when stage hands and actors actually come by after (definitely not between) their shows. They also have whiskeys available here as a sidecar; definitely do not try and order any other liquors, the back of their staff shirt makes that clear. For food, I've only ever had the cheese curds because I obviously have a problem and can't get them at many places in SF. The portions are large and the prices reasonable. My only feedback to them is maybe offer some large format bottle pours on busy nights so people can try some of the more obscure options.

Got a nice dose of dive bar and it was exactly what I was looking for. The place is small, it is loud, there is a good selection of beers on tap and some more on bottles/cans from the fridge. Bartenders are just the right amount of "if you're not a regular you're fine but you're not special" and chatty friendly. What you'd expect from a hole in the wall with decently cheap beer (compared to just a block or two over).

Our bartender was really sweet and made great drinks , the cranberry vodka and Long Island were both spot on. We didn't pay extra for the additional glasses to smash, but the six cups included were enough to make the experience fun and satisfying for a casual night.
