We used to eat here when it was next door to the Bijou Cinema, so we wanted to try the newer location. First off, their customer service is off the hook, everyone was so friendly and welcoming. We ordered two drinks that were great. Making an attempt to be semi-healthy, we order two salads with roast chicken breast but also ordered onion rings and curly fries. The fries and onion rings came out first, they were delicious. The onion rings were perfect, just the right amount of batter and a great flavor. The crispy fries were also really good, I think my husband wanted more seasoning on them, but I thought it was fine. Then came the salads. Wow, they are huge. Not only that, they were made of the most fresh veggies and a great variety of them. The grilled chicken on top was excellent. Since we had somewhat filled up on fried stuff, I was able to eat just under half of the salad. But they do have to go boxes. I would recommend splitting a salad if there are two of you, especially if you have an appetizer. Near the end of the meal, a manager or owner was talking with all of the tables. He could not have been friendlier or more welcoming. If only all restaurants had staff this nice. We will be coming back! read more

The service and food here is amazing. It's a must stop if you're in the area. Upon walking in, there was a food chest outside for people who were in need. We sat at the bar and were greeted by Angus and the owner. They were very friendly and personable and seemed like close friends with one another. There was also an option to buy an extra meal and add it to a board for someone who might need it at a later time. The food was delicious, gyro meat was tender and the fry sauce was very addicting. We then got a food recommendation to the next place we were stopping on the coast. We ended up going to that place twice. My family came by on *Monday* 6pm. It says on Maps it closes 6:46, but it is open until 8pm. I was a little hesitant walking up because it does look like a bar from the outside. Honestly, it looks like a bar on the inside, too. I wasn't sure how we would be received with my cute, yet completely crazy almost-2-yr-old in tow. The server could not have been more welcoming to us. He directed us towards a shelf stocked with toys and coloring books. My daughter loved running around the dance floor. When we went to stop her from playing with the ATM buttons, he reassured us she was fine. The food was exactly what you want it to be. I got the Philly cheesesteak sub with onion rings. Amazing. Hot & loaded sub. Crispy onion rings. Fantastic fry sauce with a bit of spice. My husband enjoyed his burger and sweet potato fries. My daughter was pleased with the chicken strips & fries from the kids menu. The server was nice enough to charge my husband's soft drink as a part of my daughter's kids meal. When we attempted to pick up the toys, he kindly chastised us and told us it was his job. We also enjoyed the music which was a perfect volume for ambience. My parents and I popped in here for lunch on Father's Day after a hike! The server was friendly. The food was good. Normally I think it's annoying when places automatically serve chips instead of fries but their chips were good! I had a cheeseburger and onion rings, both were good! My parents liked their Philly cheesesteaks. One annoying thing... the server asked if we wanted a side dip/sauce for the onion rings so we got ranch. He brought three of them but I only needed one. Then I asked for ketchup for my burger and my mom also wanted some for her onion rings. Then we were charged for 3 ranch sides and 3 ketchup sides... it wasn't even homemade. Had this over memorial weekend and my mouth is still drooling over the thought of the food. I came upon this place with a quick yelp search of family friendly places. Getting into the parking area when you're not familiar with the area was a simple U-turn fix. When we got there it was about 3pm, and it was dead. Or atleast it seemed like it. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The good was very good and at a great price for the portion you get. We didn't any alcoholic drink so I can't say much as far as that goes. Not only is the food amazing, the owner seems like an overall good human. I got the jalapeño burger added some guacamole, it was legit one of the best burgers I have had in years!! We came in during down time and everyone was having fun, and was willing to stop their personal discussions to greet us, and get us what we came for, food. Even if the food was below par (which it wasn't) we would come back to support the staff they were great! I also appreciated the diversity, and openness of the staff which sometimes isn't as supported in smaller communities, this warmed my heart and made me support the business as a whole even more! Now on to the food! Our 10 year old chose a non kids menu item for the first time in his life. As a parent I'm said he's growing up but super stoked he was trying something other than a kids cheeseburger! He ordered a cookies 'n' cream shake, and for his meal a Western Burger with curly fries. He loved all of it. Adult sized meal was still too big for him, but he made sure we were getting a box so it would be a snack later! For the toddler, she got the PB&J with fries. I was surprised by the PB&J, it was like I made as a kid!!!! So much Peanut Butter, and so much Strawberry jelly! It did not disappoint... Well, unless you're the parent doing the cleanup of a two year old, who got their hands on a perfectly made PB&J! My wife and I shared the Hawaiian Swine! It was simple but full of flavor! The bread was really good, but I can't pin what it was. The flavors melded really well! The sweet potato fries were on par with any burger joint! The whole family agrees 5 out 5 stars. We were approaching Lincoln City at dinner time and decided to check out Grill 1646. They've got a pretty decent selection, not just burgers but Phillies, gyros, hot dogs, and wings. They've got a cute little diner right downtown, and there was plenty of street parking right in front on Friday night. We ordered online and ran inside to pick it up...ready on time. We opted to split two meals, the Island Burger with sweet potato fries and a chicken gyro with regular fries, as well as some fry sauce for our dipping pleasure. They serve up a big burger...that made-at-home type burger patty. A bit too pink for my liking and verrry messy to eat, but good flavor. The gyro was quite stuffed with shredded chicken, but my favorite part of it was actually the pita...I love a good pita. We both actually liked our fries best of all the food we ordered. Great fries and reeeeally yummy fry sauce with a bit of kick. I'm more of a crispy smash burger kind of gal, so theirs isn't my ideal...but overall it was a good meal. Eating here was like eating with family. The guy who seated us and took our order was great. He cracked a couple of funny jokes and was super friendly. Their customer service goes above and beyond what I've experienced at some other restaurants. The food was delicious. We ordered the Philly Cheesesteak and the Western Burger. I love a good cheesesteak. I love it with provolone too. There I said it. Here's my thinking. If the steak is seasoned well enough, wiz is too salty. The steak was perfectly seasoned. Hence provolone made a perfect accompaniment. My only fault was I would have stood for a firmer roll. The sandwich was huge too. Had to eat in two sittings. . I loved the hand made chips. Unfortunately they were a little bland. I would totally have put some malt vinegar on those if I was in the restaurant. I'm game for trying some other things. His lamb gyro was likewise tasty and well constructed. But the star of the show were the house made sauces. Creamy delicious tzatziki for the gyro and crazy food fry sauce.
