Appearance - We went on a random Wednesday afternoon and happened to have the place all to ourselves, which made it quite peaceful. The service was great. The woman serving us brought the food out quickly. Taste - Everything we ordered we loved!! We got the combination plate, chicken satay skewers, and pad thai with chicken. The only thing I wasn't a fan of was the Thai tea. It was a little too sweet for me. However, all the other food I would order again! read more

We love to eat at Thai Bay when we visit Lincoln City. In fact we ate there twice during our 1 week stay. It's casual order at the counter dining, but they bring the order to your table. Most everything is gluten free and you can request vegan sauce instead of oyster/fish sauce which we did since we are vegetarian! I've eaten at other Asian places and requested gluten free and it's sometimes good and sometimes not at all good. Thai Bay food is so flavorful. The others in our party who are not vegetarian or gluten free loved it too! And we love the owner... she is so friendly and sweet! read more

Finally tried out and not disappointed. Drove by many times. Tried once years ago during covid, but unable to eat here. I got the seafood soup with scallops, shrimp and squid. This was the version with coconut milk. Was not very spicy, so I took care of that with some chile oil. Lots of seafood. They didn't skimp. Inside was small and nice. You grab a table, order at counter, and they will bring you meal. Don't expect much table service, which we were fine with. read more

Still the best meal that I've had in Lincoln City. We ordered the massaman curry, phad thai, chicken skewers, and a soup. All were delicious. You order at the counter, and the staff will bring out your food in takeout containers. A little unusual, but we didn't mind, as it still beats getting takeout and getting our kitchen messy. read more

Delicious Everytime I've been here. They do have spicy levels however it adds some grease to the dish which could possibly get everywhere if it is slightly tipped for a second. *Lesson learned*. THE BEST MEAL I've had in Lincoln City! I wax in the mood for fish and wouldn't have thought of a Thai place for that. They did not disappoint! I ordered the salmon and my husband ordered the catfish. We ended up sharing both and I'm not sure which one was better. Both were delicious! Pineapple curry, also lacking in flavor, also kind of spicy, the to go lady said it wasnt really spicy, and we should be good to order it, since my gf doesnt eat spice much, however it was too spicy for her, dont recommend that curry. I love thai food so im usually ordering it, but the pad see ew was depressing, lacking in flavor, barely tasted anything, texture was great though! Crab wontons had a thin batter, and barely had any crab in it, all i saw was veggies and cream cheese, and the sauce for it was pretty watery... Best Thai I have had outside of Thailand. Peanut curry with scallops was soooo good. Put this on your must have list when in town. Combo plate for appetizers was great. Save some room for mango rice. One entree easily feeds two especially if you want an appetizer and dessert. read more

Biggest downside is that the restaurant doesn't have waiters (due to funding) so you have to order online and either takeout or eat in the restaurant from the to-go containers. Food was really good though. The variety of sauces, especially the spicy ones added a different level of flavor. My favorite dishes were the Pad Eggplant and the Tom Yum soup. The crying tiger was great but for $22, the portion was too small. The Pad See Ew was good but nothing incredible. Lots of Thai places in this area so I'd probably try a new place in the future. read more

Thai Bay is, hands down, the best Thai food on the Oregon coast. We've eaten take-out from here a few times, and each time we've been more impressed than other times. There is a lot of food in each order, and it tastes amazing. When you order, make sure you give ample time for your food to be prepared. This is not the type of place where you order and pick it up 10-15 minutes later. It's been my experience that your food will take 45 minutes to prepare. The restaurant, itself, is very modest; more like a diner than a sit-down restaurant. It's somewhat difficult to find. Watch for Gallucci's Pizza. Thai Bay is right next to it. There is parking on the street, in front of the restaurant and also in a small parking lot behind the restaurant. read more

We were so excited to have the Shrimp Pad Thai again. We asked for medium spice but there was not any spice. That's kind of ok as they have spice jars so you can add your own. But our first visit - they added the spice and it was incredible and so delicious. Also this visit -- the Pad Thai noodles were al dente. They hurt my teeth. Husband had to keep biting to get through them. Not like how the noodles were cooked on our first visit. Darn. We wanted another incredible experience but this second visit did not match up to the first. The shrimp still incredible - especially after we spiced them up from the jar condiments. I wish they would stop using plastic container. Pad Thai serves and travels just fine in paper boxes. I'm not sure if we will give it a third try. Service was great and they are very nice. read more

Was wowed by the food here. The crying tiger was sooooooooo good, holy cow. The sauce that comes with it was amazing and perfect on it. We ordered it medium and it came medium rare, which was actually perfect. Cashew chicken was delicious. My only complaint was the pad kee mao; it wasn't flavorful at all and it missed the mark, unfortunately. It almost felt like it was missing sauce, but it looks like some reviews of other noodle dishes are similar. Maybe avoid the noodle dishes? The crying tiger and cashew chicken were some of the best Thai dishes I've ever had, though. 1st time at Thai Bay and it's in my top 3 of any Thai restaurants we've eaten at! Called in a to go order at 4:30 for a 5:30 pickup. Food was being packed right when I got there, fresh & piping hot. Yellow Currie with chicken, Pad Hot Basil with beef, Pad Thai with chicken and shrimp. Every dish ordered was delicious, spiced (medium) perfectly and huge portions. The owner herself was rude to us when they forgot one of our take-out orders and messed up on a different order for our family visiting Lincoln City. She demanded we bring the wrong order back to the restaurant to return it and argued with me when I arrived. She is very rude and condescending. I asked for a refund on the food and on the tip. She laughed at me on the amount of the tip thinking $15 was too little. Very unprofessional....does not believe in customer service or "the customer is always right" mantra. Shame on her. read more

The food here was delicious! It was rainy and cold outside so I was excited to get some food that would warm me up. I got yellow curry with a 3 on the spice scale and I will say it was pretty spicy even though I normally can handle a lot of spice, so I would keep that in mind if you're sensitive to spice!
