Did not actually eat here. Played a round of golf with friends. Fun place to play even for a hack like me!

And the last time, was no exception. I went and skeptically tried their Italian beef. This isn't Chicago, so finding a good Italian beef sandwich has been an adventure, and often a disappointment. But not at The Castle. The beef was great and the au juice was perfectly seasoned. If you're an Italian beef lover like me, make a point to visit the Castle.

I'm no stranger to dive bars, but the rest of my family was not very comfortable. So I'd say this is not a family-friendly establishment. Service was unreasonably slow for how unbusy they were. And I don't need to describe ambiance further because dive bars are dive bars. The food itself was supremely disappointing. People rave about these burgers? I feel incredibly lied to. They were pretty bad. I can taste when meat is low quality, and this is it. It's like finding the lowest quality frozen ground beef patties on manager special at Walmart. You're not going to get sick from it, but you're also not going to have the best meal. It just blows my mind that anyone would call these burgers good. Especially when there are plenty of decent burger places in Denver.

Was not aware they had more than one location so it worked for us since we were close to Littleton and didn't want the hassle of downtown traffic. Great old style restaurant with a full bar offering a "Diner" kind of vibe. Staff was very friendly and helpful offering a good sized menu of comfort food style entrees of Burgers, Sandwiches, some Mexican dishes and salads. Reasonably priced menu items and good sized entrees made our lunch perfect. My apologies for not taking any photos of our entrees but we were talking when the food came and very hungry so we all dug in to the deliciousness. I had the burger of the month which was a 1/2 lb burger with crispy wontons, caramelized onions, bacon, arugula, goat cheese and a balsamic peach vinegar. Some of the other entrees were the pulled pork sandwich and a chile relano burger. The fries were crispy and flavorful as well the onion rings with a light batter and cooked to crispy perfection. A great place to stop for a burger and enjoy the old school charm and comfort. I see why it is a local favorite.. Bravissimo Cherry Cricket

Burgers are dry even though we asked for medium. Adding sauce after sauce to the patty (customization galore) isn't the answer because it makes the sandwich too salty yet not solving the dryness of the meat. But I'm glad they opened up a location in the southwest area so one doesn't have to always go to Cherry Creek.

My only (BIG) disappointment so far was the Creme Brûlée -- the custard underneath was cold and runny. [One star deducted for limited variety and disappointing dessert.] Service = Always friendly, often prompt. They will generally go above-and-beyond like make menu item changes, add condiments, substitutions, etc. Ambience = It's a brewery. It's spacious, sometimes loud, and is for general audiences. They also have an outdoors area which often has some sort of entertainment (often with food trucks) or reserved event. Beer = It's a brewery. The beer options are plentiful and their own lineup is pretty tasty. I'm not a fan of IPAs but everything else is generally good. Location/Parking = The location off of Santa Fe is easy to access. However, parking can be a challenge sometimes. They have a lot of gravel, overflow parking which accommodates for how busy they can be.

They do not serve French fries and other common items outside - They have only a reduced menu, because, as a server said, the kitchen can't keep up. Given the wonderful space outside, it's really a problem you can't get certain things outside, and they will refuse to serve them to you at the bar if you intend on bringing them outside. Really disappointing and enough of a bummer to turn some folks off of it. I do expect more of such a large and successful brewery. If you sit inside, you'll have a wonderful time and enjoy everything you have.

You can see where some of the beer is brewed which was kinda cool. We sat at the bar and there was a lone, female bartender. Service was kinda slow and she wasn't overly friendly but she wasn't rude either. Just really busy. I ordered the chicken fried chicken and my husband got the fish and chips. His entree was good he said, but my chicken fried chicken was burnt to a crisp. I brought it to the bartender's attention and she did offer to get me some else, but I was pretty put off and grossed out by that point. I asked that it be removed from the ticket as I didn't eat most of the entree. Only 10 dollars was removed which was better than nothing but still not satisfactory considering I didn't eat a lot of it. Including the side dishes. But I didn't want to be a Karen and we just paid and left. Not coming back .

I've been in shorter wait times at DisneyWorld. The chicken tenders and fish tacos were not even mediocre. Fresh but definitely not worth over an hour wait. Credit card taken without getting a detailed bill. Hence the lousy tip. I felt the staff was irritated we were even here. We were two of less than 10 customers. I hadn't been here in a long time and I doubt I'll be back him this building before it changes hands.
