The service at Lazy Dog is always great, tonight being no different. Amanda was attentive without being intrusive. However, the food over the 10 or so times we've eaten here has been very inconsistent. Burgers ordered to the same temperature have come out being vastly different, sauces and dressings are frequently over done to the point of sopping wet, and instructions on items have been overlooked by the kitchen. The restaurant is huge and lots of seating available. The food was subpar. The nachos were soggy and chicken was cold. Bibimbap didn't have the flavors as the true dish, a little "white washed" if you will. Our server was nice. We didn't appreciate being approached to give $ for a fundraiser while we were at our table. Hit or Miss....is the only way to describe it. I came here with a business guest a few months ago and it was great....We came here with Friends last Sunday for dinner and the Dog had issues. My salad was fine, but my friends' burger was cold and we waited a looong time for our waitress to show her face ( for drinks) after taking our food order and our food took equally as long or more. One other thing I noticed is the only ethnic diversity in the help was relegated to waiters were largely white yet the bussers were hispanic.....hmmmm, as someone who's "ethnic" spouse works in the food industry (and has suffered discrimination in the past) it leaves me with an awkward feeling towards the management of this institution....The restaurant search continues... read more

My husband and I went to Lazy Dog for a casual dinner and Broncos game tonight. We love the atmosphere here and every time we come we enjoy the service. Dustin is our top favorite waiter here, he is very friendly and always tries to make our experience here special. 5 starts to Dustin! We usually enjoy the food at Lazy Dog but tonight the food was very mediocre. We ordered ribeye bibimbaps and they came cold. I decided to try their seasonal Peanut Butter Cold Brew Martini, it was tasty but arrived without peanut butter truffle garnish (turned out they ran out of it). Food gets 3 stars from us today. I am giving this place 4 stars overall and hope that food meets the service standard soon! read more

First time to this location, and honestly, about the same as what we became used to at the Aurora spot. We made a reservation and were seated fast. Then we waited forever to be greeted by our server. She apologized and mentioned they were busy (not really a valid excuse). We were ready to order by the time we were finally greeted. I had the same grilled chicken dish I've had at multiple other Lazy Dog spots. Best part about the dish is still the cauliflower mash, which is fantastic. Chicken itself was small, overcooked, dry, and tasteless. Lemon dipping sauce helped a little to mask the chicken, but not much. Green beans were ok even if they were a little undercooked and too crunchy. My daughter was disappointed with her pot roast sandwich, first in how fatty it was, and also that sweet potato tots,, the best part about many former Lazy Dog meals, are no longer on the menu. Hey, Lazy Dog corporate! Bring back the sweet potato tots! She went with the regular tots instead. They were fine but didn't match the greatness of the sweet potato version in her mind. My wife had the Korean ribeye bibimbap. It was bigger than she thought it'd be; however, temps of the items in the bowl were uneven. Nothing was particularly hot, maybe because some ingredients were cold. We weren't sure if that was intentional or not. Either way, temps were off. If she got it again, she would hold the cucumbers and might add a side Caesar as well. While she was apologetic, service was just downright nonexistent for most of the meal. She was everywhere in the area, but we needed to flag her down when we needed something. After confirming we weren't having dessert, we then couldn't make eye contact with her for a good 15 mins to get our bill. And this was even with her helping tables all around us. Don't you have to be able to keep an eye on all your tables at all times? She definitely wasn't. Mediocre food with worse service. We might be back at some point, but probably not real soon. read more

Went for a midday lunch and had a coupon for a free appetizer. Our server, Tracy, was such a delight and recommended we try the Hot Honey Feta Dip. It was fantastic and a great recommendation. The food here has always been solid. Never had any issues. My loves the chicken teriyaki bowl and I have done the tortilla soup. We love the candy bacon. Never really thought of it for our kids. But they do an awesome job! They brought this stuffy dog (from LazyDog) just to help make the time better for my 4yr old (& for us). Visiting CO...went to meet my nephew. Workers nice. Baby loved all the Dog stuff. Started with drinks of course...that's always a winner. Free chips since we were first timers. Chips good. Baby liked the sauce. - French Onion Pastry - waiter said new and they just got it in. So I guess it's not made in house. It was okay. Didn't blow my socks off. - Edamame - was okay - Cheese curds - YUM - Hubs got the pot pie. He said good, but was really soupy. - Nephew got the pot roast - he put that down - I got the meatloaf - Tasty, but little dry. But I'd still get it again. I'd say overall a pretty good meal. We live close to the Highlands Ranch Lazy Dog restaurant and have enjoyed eating there many times. However, on July 15th, at around 1:30pm, we waited to be seated for at least 10 minutes. It was not busy and no one seemed interested in helping us. Finally after being seated no one ever came to the table. We felt pretty neglected. So after about another 10 minutes we decided to leave. The young woman who finally did seat us seemed in a bad mood that day. As we were leaving there were three people behind the front desk laughing and having a good time but, we weren't. I want to give a shout out to an excellent server named Emily. Had dinner on Friday night at about 745 pm. The restaurant was very busy, and she had a lot of tables she was taking care of. Despite that, Emily did not rush us to order, gave excellent food recommendations and had a great vibe. Now with that being said my food came out less than lukewarm. This is the part where Lazy Dog getting rid of their food runners is a mistake-especially on weekends!! I do not blame the server as she was running her butt off. The second round of said food came out cold again and Emily stood by as I had tried it. Understandably, we were both perplexed. Kitchen inconsistencies this time? ugh!!! I could have left pretty mad but because of the way Emily took care of us ( by having the very pleasant mgr check in, comping my food- adding in a treat and just being genuine) changed my thoughts about not ever coming in again. Every dish I have had here is delicious. My favorite thing I keep coming back for is the Ahi tuna over crispy rice shareable. It's like a crispier version of sushi without the seaweed. Highly recommend. There is heating inside, and I've seen dates up to groups of 20 people seated in a long table in the middle of the room. Really great for any occasion. The one complaint I have is the service being very slow every single time. It seems like the waitresses have too many tables they are impossible to flag down when you need something, and even being seated on a busy night can take over an hour. Yes, they will say there is online reservation, but if the outside patio is open during the winter, the online reservation tells you they have plenty of tables open and you can't reserve a spot. So, they actually don't have a reliable system and more often than not it's said that and we end up waiting 45+ minutes. I would only recommend if you are not in a hurry and have time to kill, or if you have a solid reservation. read more

Abbi did an amazing job! What a breath of fresh air. A truly delightful person. We were greeted by a nice young woman who promptly brought us to our table. Abbi greeted us immediately and brought is waters and made us feel comfortable and welcome. I ordered a beer and my wife ordered a cocktail after Abbi made a couple of recommendations based on her questions. She asked if it was our first time here and when we told her it was, she must have sought out the manager because Martell showed up with a free starter. My Mother's fried chicken was tough and my brother-in- law ordered the ribeye medium rare and it came medium well. Quite disappointing. We arrived at 6:30 and it took FOREVER to get our food. The only bright spot was our waitress and I'm sorry I didn't get her name. She was funny and attentive. She did offer to have the steak recooked but we had already waited so long that we declined. She did give us a free dessert to make-up for it but a better alternative would have been to take the steak off our bill. Sadly, I won't be coming back anytime soon. Also there was no visible manager to be seen. What happened to the days when a manager stopped at tables to inquire about your food and service. read more

I was getting my car serviced near by and stopped into the Lazy Dog. I haven't been here since it was CB Potts (so a long time!). It is a beautiful rustic space, warm and inviting. Our waiter was nice enough to explain the beers and even sent over a complimentary appetizer (garlic parm chips). I enjoyed a cuban sandwich with fries for lunch. Liked the cuban, it had good flavor and more of a grilled bread than the panini press type bread, but it was good. Fries were ho hum, but still good. We also enjoyed some of their beers (I loved the ankle buster, which had a faint fruity taste). The Mexican Lager was light and crisp also. After calling ahead, we waited in our curbside takeout spot for around 30 minutes (after showing up at our quoted time). In the staff's defense, it was busy and they remained helpful, but the food sucked. Not a scholarly description, but it's the truth. We were gouged $10.75 plus tax for four deviled eggs that were haphazardly tossed in to the to-go box, with the deviled eggs looking like something you'd get in the King Soopers clearance section. This culinary masterpiece was complemented with shards of lettuce. My fish entree was cold. The pot pie looked like a giant Belgian waffle that had a runny layer of pot pie ingredients trapped under it. Again, I appreciate the staff for being pleasant, but I feel upset that we paid what we did, and had such a disappointing result. read more
