The grill at Vine Ripe is like an old friend. I have eaten many many weeknight dinners after I get off of work. The food feels like it nourishes my spirit. Idk if it's the flavors? Or the obvious care that they make each order? Tonight I got a Cali shawarma wrap after a long hiatus of not eating here(no particular reason). The wrap is such a perfect mix of flavors, it was stacked up with meat and constructed so well. Every bite hit nothing was wasted I ate every crumb. The character of the meat and the ratios of ingredients and flavors makes this basic wrap something that made me feel something. Eating it felt like having a meal with an old friend. Like when you haven't seen someone in a long time but when you do see them, nothings changed and you just effortlessly fall back into conversation like you had never left. Really love the food here. We've gone 3 times in the last 2 weeks. My favorite is the grill combo. I request garlic aioli and tzatziki sauce to elevate the flavors. My significant other loves the Cali Shawarma wrap. Portions are huge, service is great. Same team always working. The other night I was craving mediterranean food sooo bad, and I almost went with one of my original favorites until The Grill at Vine Ripe randomly popped up on my door dash app . Absolutely delicious!!! We ordered the chicken shawarma plate which came with rice and hummus, the portions were big enough for the two of us to share for lunch. Everything was absolutely delicious!! Even the pita bread was tasty. The small restaurant has several outdoor seating and a few inside. You order at the counter and place the number at your table. They seem to offer weekday specials but the price is reasonable for the quality of their food and the portions are nice. The smells would make a full person hungry!! Fast forward in time, they now have a grill/restaurant attached! They now offer more of a variety of menu items! All their meats are flavorful. Halal meats. We've had their chicken, beef, ground beef, hummus, baba ghanoush, wraps, and more. All of our orders have been to go. They have outdoor seating. It's covered so you're out of the sun. They seem to do a lot of to go orders. Overall, we've had great consistency orders. The lady who took our order answered lots of our questions with patience. Everything we've tried here has been great. The chicken tikka is tender and yummy, and even the rice is extremely tasty. My husband likes their salmon and lamb chops. We recently tried the gyros and it's some of the best I've ever tasted. My only complaint is that they failed to include the lamb chops in their online menu so if I want to order it I have to call, which I'm sure annoys Steve, the super nice guy who always seems to be working there. It looks like the same team is always there, taking orders and cranking out delicious meals. So make it easier for everyone and include your full menu in the ordering apps. read more

At this point I am a regular at both the Vine Ripe grocery store and The Grill. I always make it a point to stop by here after my weekly trips to Costco to check out what meats are on sale at the butcher counter and also to maybe treat myself to one of their delicious and filling Shawarma Bowls. In my most recent visit I was looking for something a bit lighter on the calories but was hesitant to order a salad since they seemed to lack protein content. Upon a recommendation from Yousif, one of the friendly line cooks here that I've become acquainted with, I ordered an Apple and Walnut Salad with some of the Chicken Shawarma meat on top. I can't help but say I am thoroughly pleased with this dish. It came out to around $18 but I ended up splitting this into two meals which is quite a feat because I usually finish meals all in one sitting. Although it sounds a bit different, the apple and walnuts added such a nice crunch and snap to the salad which often lack a hefty substance. The Raspberry Vinaigrette Dressing perfectly complemented the apples as it added another hint of fruity sweetness to the salad. The chicken meat also had an awesome hint of char from the rotisserie and was extremely juicy from the slow cooking process. This would honestly be a perfect post workout meal since it covers every macronutrient and most micronutrients while keeping total calorie consumption low and protein intake high. I can't wait to come back and try the other items on the menu as I have been here over a dozen times and have yet to be disappointed. The shop gives a nice fast casual dining experience as it's just a tiny little kitchen with a couple tables but they also have a shaded outdoor patio that has half a dozen tables with many seats if you plan on coming with more friends. They also have a mini salad bar where they offer complementary veggies and sauces and I usually load my bowls up with banana peppers and tzatziki sauce. read more

I discovered this spot with my best friend awhile ago, but recently came back with my family for dinner. I always get the same thing -- a Cali shawarma wrap which is: beef shawarma, crispy fries, guacamole, cheese & house sauce in a wrap (taken from their site). This wrap was so flavorful and filling with the beef shawarma cooked just right. The hot sauce that comes with this is also really good! I also like to add a little of their garlic aioli as well. The interior of the place is simple, but clean. You walk in, order, they give you a number, and you can seat yourself. There are a few indoor seating, but it's predominantly outdoor, but covered seating. There is a sauce bar inside with some pickled veggies for you to help yourself to. I also like that you can access their grocery store easily through the restaurant and I especially love that you can buy their sauces to take home if you wanted to. The last thing I wanted to add is that I feel like they price their menu fairly which I appreciate. I can't wait to go back and get my usual, and possibly try something else lol. read more

I have been ordering the same meal from here for years. Until today, it was always wonderful. Today, i got the same chicken tikka plate as always, only they wouldn't give me any garlic paste with it. They want to charge for each little, teeny portion you want. They gave me mayonaise!!!! I have mayo at home, thank you, NO! When I got it home and tried to eat it, the hummus taste like water, it was white and runny! The tabouleh was stale and very, very dry - even with that tiny bit of dressing. I stumbled upon The Grill after shopping at Vine Ripe for the first time for some walnuts and dates. I was surprised by the menu. I thought I try their Lahm Bi Ajeen Kabob hoping it was like the German/Turkish style back home that I am used to and to my surprise it had the perfect balance of vegetables complimenting the beef. Whomever is the chef got it spot on! I sat at the patio with a nice breeze waiting for my dish until this stunning young lady came up to me with my meal.
