This is an authentic, delicious Iraqi kabob place, good anytime you are craving for Middle Eastern food. We ordered the mixed grill platter for 3 persons and it was plenty for 4-5 adults. The home made lentil soup was full of flavor, the kufta kabob, chicken cubes, shawarma and falafel were well seasoned, and grilled perfectly. The owner-chef and his wife are so hospitable, warm, and helpful. Truly a gem in El Cajon!

You know that feeling when you find a gold mine no one else has discovered? Well, I think we found one. Went to dinner with my folks. Driving up, this location is overshadowed by neighboring large restaurants. But don't be deceived. The meal is freshly cooked by a seasoned chef, Ramir, who obviously enjoys his menu. As a result, you may wait just a little longer than you would at similar restaurants in this category. Definitely worth the wait for a "home" cooked meal. I chose this restaurant specifically for Mom. She loves Middle Eastern food and is very picky. First came the yellow lentil soup. The last thing I expected was the attention to detail in its presentation. There were very light thin noodles and light seasoning on top making it a really delicious choice. When our meals came out, again, I was struck by the presentation. The plates were so full we had enough for lunch tomorrow. I was craving beef kebab, and really enjoyed the fact that it didn't come out on a skewer. The meat had just the right amount of flavor and tenderness. The rice came with raisins and almonds, nice touch and flavor. Hummus was flavorful and creamy without being overpowering. I even enjoyed the salad on the side, which I rarely touch at other places. It wasn't over saturated with dressing. Dad had a kebab sandwich which was accompanied by french fries. The fries passed the mom test - she loves fries. They had the right amount thickness with just a hint of crunchiness. Mom had the chicken kebab plate. The smile on her face made the trip worthwhile. In fact, she was worried about what time the place closed because she wanted to take time to really enjoy the meal! Her chicken was tender with a lightly crispy crunch. Just the right amount of lettuce with dressing on the side. She noted that her meal had the right combination of each of the elements and was really well put together. In fact, she said everything was just right. You can bet we will be back - Will we see you there?!

Solid Mediterranean food! This place has some seating but it looks to be more of a takeout spot. We decided to stay anyways and the owner was so hospitable and would even bring out extra pita if we ran out. We ordered the lamb shank, lentil soup, and baklava. Lamb was super tender, the lentil soup was flavorful and delicious, and the hummus was outstanding. The parking lot is a mess but fortunately there are a couple dedicated spots in front of the restaurant

The food served at this place is OUTSTANDING. A prior visit I had the beef shawarma which was splendid--savory, tender and beefy, tender flavorful yellow rice, DELICIOUS tzatziki. They were sold out this visit so no worries I ordered their lamb and beef gyro platter. So tasty, so satisfying. The restaurant owner is a street food savant. Hit this place up for delicious Middle Eastern food.

The food is absolutely amazing. It was my first time here definitely not my last time. I can't believe only one man was running it. He was still super sweet very attentive, and the food says it for itself . He was also very detailed. The lentil soup is so delicious. I think I found my new favorite spot.

Had the late-ish munchies and was craving Mediterranean. This place was clutch! Simple, tasty, and great service. It's nestled in between two larger businesses, a hookah lounge and Dirty Birds. So parking is definitely an issue. The owners must have a great relationship with the hookah lounge because they asked us if they wanted our food to be dropped off at the hookah lounge. We were taking it home. We ordered the Chicken Shawarma plate and the Beef, Chicken & Kufta Kabob combo platter. Our first two choices were out unfortunately. Both were good but the combo platter was excellent. I particularly liked their hummus. Thought it was divine. The dining room left a lot to be desired. Clearly they value the food and not the ambiance. Which is fine. It was empty when we came here.

Party tray for 5 comes in a large tray and includes pita, hummus and salad. I asked for the salad condiments on the side. Restaurant provided ranch and utensils on side as well. Fresh quality ingredients and various styles of meat and chicken.

A new Mediterranean spot in San Diego? Say less…read more I came here with friends, and it was a first-time visit for all of us. The moment we walked in, the space made an impression. The decor is gorgeous, warm, and stylish, with beautiful blue tones throughout -- which already won me over because blue is my favorite color. Our server, Emily, was fantastic. She was welcoming, attentive, and genuinely added to the experience. Great service can make a good meal better, and she absolutely did that. Now let's talk about the food, because they did not miss. At all. I ordered the salmon, and it was masterfully prepared. Perfect texture, full of flavor, and the sauce was the kind of sauce you keep going back to even after you swear you're done. My friends had the lamb, chicken, and beef plates, and everything at the table looked and tasted like it was made with real care. The salads were crisp and fresh, and the dressings were bright, flavorful, and balanced. And then there was the espresso martini. Honestly? Best I've ever had. No notes. The owners and staff were also genuinely kind and welcoming, which gave the whole experience that extra "we'll definitely be back" feeling. This is officially my new favorite Mediterranean restaurant in San Diego.

The menu was a bit confusing, but I know that I like grilled veggies and Greek salad and then Ike was able to pick my protein that I wanted so that seemed easy enough. The base price with falafel or chicken Shawarma was Close to $16 but since I chose the meat, they added two dollars to my total. It took about 10 minutes for them to assemble my meal, but my veggies were cooked fresh on the stove, which was really nice. They tasted very freshly cooked just as they would as if I had cooked them myself at home. I was there about 1245 on a Monday and there were a few people there and they had some takeout orders so my order took about 10 minutes before I could walk out the door with it. They had a nice condiment bar where you could pick out some yogurt with dill sauce and then they're famous garlic yogurt sauce, as well as a jalapeño sauce And another spicy hot one that I would never try. When I got back to the jury room to eat my meal, I saw that there was a nice quantity of the fresh salad and the grilled vegetables but the meat was piled high! The employees were working efficiently and the place was spotless and orderly.
