I want to love this place because it's a small business in my area with good food. The review is for the service. They typically are understaffed which means they consistently underestimate how long it will take for the food to be done. We ordered over the phone- 4 meals- and were quoted about 30 mins. Got there around 30 mins and they said they needed another 20 minutes... took well over an hour after we called in to get the food. A similar situation has happened twice, so unfortunately we can't support this business as a reliable option. The last thing I expected was the attention to detail in its presentation. There were very light thin noodles and light seasoning on top making it a really delicious choice. When our meals came out, again, I was struck by the presentation. The plates were so full we had enough for lunch tomorrow. I was craving beef kebab, and really enjoyed the fact that it didn't come out on a skewer. The meat had just the right amount of flavor and tenderness. The rice came with raisins and almonds, nice touch and flavor. Hummus was flavorful and creamy without being overpowering. I even enjoyed the salad on the side, which I rarely touch at other places. It wasn't over saturated with dressing. Dad had a kebab sandwich which was accompanied by french fries. The fries passed the mom test - she loves fries. They had the right amount thickness with just a hint of crunchiness. Mom had the chicken kebab plate. The smile on her face made the trip worthwhile. In fact, she was worried about what time the place closed because she wanted to take time to really enjoy the meal! Her chicken was tender with a lightly crispy crunch. Just the right amount of lettuce with dressing on the side. She noted that her meal had the right combination of each of the elements and was really well put together. We were recently smoking hookah next door at Zodiac hookah lounge and couldn't figure out what we wanted to eat. I did a little searching on Yelp and saw Abraj come up. I put in the directions and oh! It's right next door to the hookah lounge :) I placed our order with the very nice lady who I think is one of the owners. 1 gyro sandwich and 1 beef shawarma sandwich with a side of fries. She was kind enough to tell me everything that came on the sandwiches and made sure I was ok with all of it. (I almost said no tomatoes, but I'm trying to teach myself to like them) I asked how long it would take and let her know we were smoking hookah next door, she stopped me there and said don't worry, I'll bring the food to you. What a sweetheart! The food arrived piping hot. The sandwiches and fries looked great! My gyro sandwich was delicious! The gyro meat was flavorful and wasn't dry at all. The pita bread it was wrapped in was warmed nicely and the garlic sauce spread onto this sandwich just made it even tastier. I would have liked the sandwich to have a little more gyro meat, but overall, I was satisfied. The fries were crispy, hot and seasoned. The fries dipped in the side of garlic sauce were amazing. Oh wow, this place is awesome! It's on my way home, but I never noticed it until today. We got it delivered. We ordered a chicken shawarma wrap, a shish kebab wrap, cheese pie, baba ghanouj, fries with garlic sauce, hot tea, and a Nutella cake. Everything was delicious. I especially love their garlic sauce and the cheese pie was incredible. My fiancé really loved the hot tea. They also have delicious baba ghanouj and give you so much of it.
