Food was on the blend side Had the grilled Salmon it came pretty blend flavor wise, they could at least bring salt and pepper to the table. The portion was on the smaller size. The salmon came with a very citrusy leaves salad and maybe 2 radishes. For $38 I would love to see another side. It's a very touristy restaurant. I don't think I'll dine there again. We came here as a late lunch early dinner combo. 3 adults 2 teenagers 2 grilled salmon 3 the grill burger While we only asked for one burger without veggies all of them came out without which was annoying. The fries were really good. We had a side of cauliflower and the mushrooms. The cauliflower could have used more flavor and the mushrooms were too heavy on the wine flavor. We dined here on a Saturday after exploring The Wharf. I booked a reservation for lunch, so there was no wait and we were promptly seated on the patio. Being as I seldom get weekend days off, it totally did not occur to me that it would be more of a brunch menu than a traditional lunch menu- which was totally fine. We were starving so we started out with the Three Cheese Crab Fondue as an appetizer. It was really good- and definitely really hearty. There was an ample amount of lump crab meat in the dip, so we definitely got our money's worth. If you love melty cheese and crab- you'll love it. The only downside was the bread was on the unimaginative side. To have a stellar fondue and have a meh bread to put it on undermines the dish as a whole. For my entree I got the Coconut Cardamom French Toast. This was a truly elevated FT variety and was a five-star dish all the way. It wasn't too sweet and was like something you'd get at a luxury resort. Service was fine. Our waiter was good and a manager came by to check on us. Since we dined on the patio, this is a great place to people watch, but just be mindful of the time of day. We were fortunate to have a table where we were shaded from the sun, but some of the other tables seem to be right in the blaze of mid-day. This is a beautiful restaurant right on the water with great indoor and outdoor seating. The bar is really pretty too. The customer service was great from check in to table service from Kalil. There were some hit and miss items that we had, but the Cajun Branzino was so delicious and perfectly seasoned and cooked. We ordered the mussels and the sauce was creamy which was not expected was not appealing at all. The wedge salad was super fresh and tasty! We also ordered All the Bites and everything was good except for the bacon wrapped dates. I'm not sure what they were stuffed with, but that should be noted on the menu. We were not a fan. Dessert was decent. The lime pie was beautiful decorated and the sorbet was to be expected. I'd definitely return for the fish. read more

The Grill serves up solid food and service. I visited on a very busy Saturday night with a reservation for 6 people at 6:30 PM. I tried the lobster roll ($39) and Cajun Branzino ($49) and both were good. The lobster roll was Maine-style -- cold with mayo -- which is not my preferred style, but it was still pretty good. The side of fries were great -- crispy and well-seasoned. I liked that the lobster roll had a specific price on the menu and not just "MP." The branzino was also very good. Everyone else had good things to say about their dishes, which included the clam chowder, seafood linguini, and caesar salads. Service was good but uneven in spots; there were some nice touches, but also a few misses. For example, they poured the canned beer for us tableside and remembered a guest's birthday with a small slice of cheesecake (free). But, they forgot crackers to go with the clam chowder, didn't deliver dishes to the correct people, and were a few minutes late bringing the last entree after all the others had arrived. It was a busy night, but also they should be used to that. We sat in the back dining area and the ambiance was fine. read more

Very vast menu. The cocktails are excellent. They specialize in martinis. The "dirty little secret" martini their basic house martini is surprisingly high level! It's way better than any other high end martini I have had at other martini specialized bars. Food is great quality. The crab fondue is perfect for 2 people to share. Excellent service. Chelsea goes above and beyond! Definitely a 1st class bartender. My wife and I like the low key lighting and atmosphere. Bar seating is plentiful with views of the water. Very nicely decorated restaurant located in the Wharf. They have a special going (I think) from 4 - 6 pm every day for $39.00: you can select from a limited menu 1 appetizer, 1 entree and 1 dessert. Awesome deal! I got a side salad with their house tomato vinegar dressing, the half chicken and a trio of ice cream scoops. I came out here randomly because I had a credit card dining credit to burn and this spot was one of the places that accepted the credit. I came midday for brunch. Although I was sat fairly quickly, the front staff didn't seem that engaged. My server though was very charming and helpful. Before I came here I looked at the menu online and didn't have high hopes, as nothing stood out except for the high prices. But again, I had a credit to spend. I was pleasantly surprised because what we ordered was very good. Deviled eggs, clam chowder, and the pork shoulder hash. I took my mom who is hard to please when not eating Vietnamese meals and she enjoyed it too. The Mussel's .... they were mouth watering fantastic and what made it so good was the white wine, blue cheese, chipotle, cream sauce that they were soaking in. The Lamb kabobs with very tasty. The Grill Burger was good. Overall, really enjoyed our time here. Staff was great, especially David, our server. He was very attentive, accommodating, knowledgeable and very welcoming. I went to The Grill for dinner last night and had an incredible experience. The weather was perfect, so we opted for outdoor seating, which added to the vibe. Our server, Natalia, was attentive and made sure everything was just right from start to finish. I started with the Grill Punch--it was huge, super refreshing, and the grilled mango garnish added a delicious twist. My date and I ordered the Mixed Grill special ($79 per person), and it was well worth it. It came with about five starter bites--the bacon-wrapped dates and fried cheese were definite standouts. For the main course, we had a medium-rare ribeye, two lump crab cakes, and grilled shrimp, all paired with their chimichurri sauce. Everything was perfectly cooked and full of flavor. We chose the grilled sweet potatoes as our side, and they were absolutely to die for. We finished off the meal with the pineapple upside-down cake--massive and insanely good. The Grill came up as a top rated result for burgers in the SW quadrant of DC. Yelp said that it was inexpensive, with two dollar signs, Google has three. The Grill's burger is over $20 so, it a bit more than I expected. There is a 20% gratuity recommendation, which seemed high given the quality of service. We were about to sit at the bar because the greeters were playing around and hadn't noticed us. After getting their attention, they seated us in a high traffic area booth by the bar which was fine. We weren't dressed nicely because we weren't expecting a two dollar sign burger place named The Grill to be fine dining. It was after sunset and the lights were low but a nice moveable light illuminated the table, and looking at the menu you can order a tomahawk steak for over $140, other delicacies as well... Flashing lights in the peripheral caught our attention. Looking up, we saw some people were getting photos taken by a professional photographer in the hallway to the restrooms. We are probably in the background of somebody's pictures. I went and washed my hands and tried to see what was so special about the hallway. The evening went on, I ordered the Evolution Exile Red ale. It has a smooth draw, a malty flavor light on the tongue, and snaps with hoppy aftertaste. The alcohol content must be up there because my head started to bobble. I handed over the keys to my wife and enjoyed the beer. We were lucky to have found parking on the street so, we didn't have to worry about wandering through the parking garages of the Wharf again trying to figure out how to get to where we parked. The Grill burger was thick with sweet onion marmalade, bacon, and cheese. Herb seasoning on the fries was perfect, and the aioli sauce was a nice addition. Perfect location for dinner if you have plans for a show afterwards at the wharf. Nice modern decor and spacious interior makes it an appealing place to dine and have cocktails. The weather was still too cold to eat outside but must be really lovely when weather permits. They had nice menu options. I liked their selection of sides too. I couldn't decided if I wanted to just order them as small plates for my meal. Their steaks do come ala cart. I went with the ribeye. It comes in a generous portion and I should have gone with a smaller cut. It took me a while to figure out if my steak was just tough or my steak knife was dull. Well, it was my knife. I should have said something but I was just focused on finishing my meal because we had to get to our show. Their Mac and cheese had a nice flavor, very cheesy. My husband went with the burger, which he enjoyed. He said the fries were a bit on the salty side. We would definitely return. What an excellent dining experience. We started out with the deviled eggs and the mussels. The deviled aha were delicious and the mussels were outstanding. The broth from the mussels were absolutely amazing. We had to get some extra bread for the broth. For our entrees I had the bbq ribs which were really good. My girlfriend enjoyed the burger. When we arrived we were greeted by our waiter who was very tentative to our needs. They do have anoption called " The mixed Grill" which is $79.00/per person. Which come with a house salad, Grilled asparagus added items were sweet potatoes , deviled eggs with duck mousse and caviar, grilled cheese which is similar to mozzarella sticks but it had a sweet crust with a drizzle of possibly honey or syrup, lamb skewers w/ a tzatziki sauce (Not pictured ). Jumbo shrimp, Ribeye steak, two crab cakes. We did have a reservation which we were able to book through open table. Fun perk of booking is it prompts you to down load the " InKind" app which allows you to receive a welcome reward of $50 off your meal if you pay using the app. I thought that was a great option and encourages your dinning experience. All you have to do is on the top of your check it has a check number you can enter it into the app. Put your card information. Also 20% gratuity is added to your total amount and reminder that you will pay whatever the dc tax is as well. They offer a "bottomless" option for $34.99 on top of your entree's price which in my opinion is worth it bc you can choose between many different cocktails (traditional mimosas and bloodys included) and mix and match. The Grill Punch was SLAMMING and was my favorite! The 3 Cheese Crab Fondue .... TO DIE FOR!!! I would come back just for that. The express lunch was a good deal as you can choose between different proteins and it's accompanied by herbed fries, a side salad and sorbet or ice cream. Our server was amazing as was the GM! My wife got pork ribs and she said it was the best and leanest cut of ribs she ever had, she said the BBQ sauce wasn't great, but not terrible. I had the burger with caramelized onions and I would definitely order it again. My kids both got items from the kids menu and the prices were actually reasonable for a pretty expensive restaurant and the portion sizes were good too. It was cooked exactly to order and came with a flavorful bacon jam that really elevated the flavor. It's a hearty portion - easily splittable if you're not starving. The herb fries on the side were good, though the herbs didn't stand out as much as expected. Still crispy and well-seasoned overall. They don't offer ranch (which felt a bit surprising), but there are other dipping sauces available. Mediterranean Chopped Salad with Shrimp// This was a very generous portion. The salad itself was fresh and flavorful, and we added shrimp for protein. You get three large shrimp, which were cooked and seasoned well.
