If you're a new mom, I'd strongly reconsider going. The venue seems to have very little understanding or flexibility for parents who may need to keep their phones on during the show. For moms finally getting a chance to step out of the house, that lack of consideration is incredibly disappointing. Unfortunately, the interaction with management only made things worse--they came across as dismissive and disrespectful, which was honestly shocking. When I asked about a refund, it wasn't even an option. I don't usually leave negative reviews, but the lack of compassion and basic understanding here really stood out. Insanely upset. read more

Comedian had an off night. I don't hold that against the club. They get a lot of really good acts. I will go back. Here's why 3 stars.... 1. Food is good but the "shareable" are very small and not very shareable. 2. Do not, I repeat, DO NOT! Get an Old Fashioned here. $11 for half a shot of whiskey? Asked the waitress if this was right or if it was a short pour. She confirmed it was right. She should have warned me. 3. House specialty drinks are okay. Margarita is fairly solid. I have been to the Grove a few times to see comedians. I moved to Northwest Arkansas from a larger city. We had a couple comedy clubs there, and although I really enjoyed going, tickets were always so expensive! It would easily be a couple hundred dollars for tickets, dinner and drinks for a relatively unknown comedian. Those clubs were huge, too. Surprisingly, the Grove is much more affordable and it is a way more intimate setting! The price of tickets depends on the same and notoriety of the comedian performing. So Rodney Carrington tickets are going to be more expensive than an upcoming comedian who is just starting out., but that is expected. Still the prices that The Grove charges to see a comedian is a fraction of what I have paid for other clubs. The Grove is also a really nice club. Tables and seating is very comfortable, and there are no seats with a bad view of the stage. The Grove has really good food that is reasonably priced, and quality prepared. They have great burgers and fries, and an exceptional turkey club! Their drinks are priced at about what any restaurant or club would price them at. They do have some creative cocktails like "The Quarantini"! They have a few craft beers available, and my husband loves that they have Shiner on draft. We were visiting with some friends after a show, so a little late to leave at a recent outing there. The Grove employees started cleaning tables and I can honestly tell you I was so impressed with the level of deep cleaning they were performing. They really were trying to do their best at making this a safe environment, and protecting their customers and employees. Definitely check out the Grove if you are interested in live comedy! I came here with my boyfriend for Greg Morton's show on a Saturday. They have you put your phones in a sealed bag when you enter otherwise I would include pictures of the food. My boyfriend got a burger, which he enjoyed, and i got the mozzarella sticks, which had a weird consistency and made my stomach hurt. I really enjoyed the intimate comedy club vibes though and we had a great spot in the center of the back section. And they have drinks named after each of the performers! I ordered Greg Morton's and it was delicious. I would definitely return for another casual comedy show dinner date! read more

Well I definitely had to update my review. We went to see Rob Schneider a couple weeks ago. Amazingly funny show. Service was excellent. Our server made sure our drinks were never empty. We ordered the smoked brisket sandwich with fries and the fried pickles as an appetizer for the table. The brisket sandwich & fries was excellent. The fried pickles was not so great and really small for $8.00. I will definitely skip those next time. The other day we bought a 4 top table and then 2 other friends wanted to join us. I emailed the club and asked if they could switch our table. Rhonda called and made the switch for us. Excellent customer service on that one. Loved it. Going to go see Jon Lovits in August. Can't wait. Top notch club right here in NWA!!! read more

The Grove, which was on Pleasant Grove Rd. has moved & is now housed in a 9,000 sq foot location in Lowell/Rogers with stadium seating, bar, stage, & outdoor area for "ultimate Frisbee/soccer/rugby field, 2 beach volleyball courts, a pickle ball court and many other outdoor games" (website). Went to the opening weekend (April 20-21) & saw Eric Schwartz perform. Tickets were $15 and worth every penny. They are still working on the food & bar menu. It's family owned & one of the owners met us at the door so she could seat us. She had a list of people who purchased tickets & it was sold out (about 150 ppl). They're still working out the kinks... you could tell some of the servers were having difficulty finding the correct table to serve food, but please give them some lead way because they just opened & it's quite a production: there's a bar, full restaurant, sports bar area and a comedy club. The menu isn't complete but the website indicated they hired a Chef to develop the menu. The current menu has burgers, Jaegerschnitzel (Chef is German), wings (several different flavors), ribeye etc. NWA needs a comedy club! Good spot for a casual evening and comedy show. They offer dinner before the show if you arrive early. Food was basic but good avg came out really fast. Beer and wine and liquor menu. The show are cheap, $15-$20 per ticket. And they make you turn off your phones so the show never gets interrupted. We came here for crawfish and got an appetizer of nachos with it and a table came 20 minutes after us got their food before we did. The chips were stale and the queso was no better than the jar stuff from Walmart. The tea was not sweet and the crawfish had no flavor and you can see there's no seasoning on the corn and potatoes. The crawfish was blue inside which means it had been frozen which explains why the meat was so tough. I was stupid enough to try it after seeing all these warning signs. I've never seen a show so maybe that's why people like this place, but you can't pay me to eat here again. read more

Awesome little venue to catch a comedy show. We came for Raj's live album taping. Got there about 1 hour early and got to eat and drink before the show started. We even got to pick our own spot since we were so early. The owners were nice and friendly. Food was okay. Drink specials were on point with $3 shots. Our server was awesome and super friendly and helpful. I got a discount for checking in on yelp, so will be back soon to use it and catch another show. read more

comedy club sounds fun until you realize the food is microwave grade and the prices don't reflect what you're buying. we ordered 2 chicken strip dishes, thinking okay they can't mess this up. the fries were cold, chicken burnt, and it didn't come with any sauces. ketchup was in packets, and they charge you extra for requesting ranch. no bottled hot sauce. maybe because it's in Lowell Arkansas where people don't care about quality or flavor. maybe it's because mustard is too spicy for their clientele. nothing given to make up for poor quality. comedians jokes are recycled, low grade, not funny, outdated. tbh i have laughed more at a funeral than at this "comedy club" owner always insists on going on stage even though he also is not funny, not a performer, and mostly just stroking his ego by going on stage. dude, why are you going on the stage? no one is laughing at your lame jokes. also, seating is more restaurant style than comedy club style. half of your party is stuck with their backs against the stage. not much thought into seating i've been here a total of three times and each time i've told myself i'll never come back. third time is a charm. nothing on gods green earth will convince me to return to this wack ass place. believe me when i say whatever price you pay for this venue IS TOO MUCH read more

We really enjoyed this place. The food was good and the staff were super friendly. The comedy was great. I do have to say I am always surprised by the one table who get offended. Comedians cover everything, politics, religion etc. there are no rules. If you get offended easily, this isn't the place for you. If you like to laugh, at yourself and others, it's a blast. Don't take it personal. Just sit back and enjoy a break from everyday life. If you happen to think they crossed the line, don't say anything. Something unique in a neighborhood full of chain dining. Looks like the new owners of The Grove have got something figured out. I've been here three times recently and both food and service have been consistently good. I understand a menu revamp is underway but the items I've ordered have been great. Last night my bride and I tried a blue cheese burger and a fried green tomato sandwich. Both were fantastic! Mike took great care of us and seemed to be truly excited about the new direction of the restaurant. I recommend this place for a quiet and convenient business lunch or a change of pace dinner. The Atmosphere is unique. Sports bars meets fine dining at a reasonable price. The food is absolutely amazing. We had the smoked Gouda dip as an appetizer. We replaced the toast points with fresh made corn tortilla chips. It was akin to the best vodka sauce I've ever had. For entree the mahi mahi tacos were superb. Served with black beans and rice. The chicken Marsala was probably the best I've ever had. Not over the top. Perfectly cooked with a simple, delicious wine sauce. Had a cucumber ginger margarita that was good, but personally wasn't fond of the basil. The strawberry line caipirinha in the other hand? PERFECTION! Will be back... This probably my favorite pub in NWA Food is amazing pasta St Charles is good and the Shrimp and Crawfish étouffée is an must try. Turkey grove is one of the best sandwiches I personally add bacon and cheese for a small fee and it's very taste. Great selection of apps and atmosphere is nice. Staff is friendly and very attentive. We were so pleasantly surprised by the food selection here! We were expecting bar food but instead found a nice selection of bar food and "real" food. The roast chicken and veggies was delicious and my boyfriend loved his Reuben. The artichoke dip was good as well. The beer selection is nice and they have a full bar with house cocktails. My first time at the Grove today for lunch. The place was packed....a good sign. The place is split into three areas, the dining side, a bar side (with a lot of tables and booths as well) and an outdoor patio. Full bar and long list of specialty cocktails. Several tv's. The menu had a strong list of appetizers, several salads, a long list of sandwiches, tacos (think fish, brisket, pork, chicken), enchiladas and pizza. We started with the truffle fries since they sounded good, I read a tip on yelp and they were the least expensive appetizer. They were great! Fresh cut fries alted with truffle oil and salt, sprinkled with parm cheese and cilantro. I opted for the fish tacos which the menu said was on corn tortillas but I asked them to switch out to flour. The grilled mahi was good with slaw, sauce and some grilled onion and pepper. I would eat them again. My friend had an enchilada that she said was really good. I spotted several sandwiches that others had ordered. Huge French dips and Phillys! I'll be going back and look forward to happy hour on the patio with $5 apps and cocktails or $1 off drafts. Cool place!! The last location was awesome, and this one has a ton of potential. Awesome spot for comedy, and the owner and wait staff are very welcoming. The owner talked with us for a few minutes, getting our input on the beer selection. You can tell they want to build this location into something big. If you like comedy in a safe and fun environment, this is the place. Not sure how the food is at this location as we only went for a comedy show, but the last locations was pretty good.
