    The stage!
    Kristen M.

I have been to the Grove a few times to see comedians. I moved to Northwest Arkansas from a larger city. We had a couple comedy clubs there, and although I really enjoyed going, tickets were always so expensive! It would easily be a couple hundred dollars for tickets, dinner and drinks for a relatively unknown comedian. Those clubs were huge, too. Surprisingly, the Grove is much more affordable and it is a way more intimate setting! The price of tickets depends on the same and notoriety of the comedian performing. So Rodney Carrington tickets are going to be more expensive than an upcoming comedian who is just starting out., but that is expected. Still the prices that The Grove charges to see a comedian is a fraction of what I have paid for other clubs. The Grove is also a really nice club. Tables and seating is very comfortable, and there are no seats with a bad view of the stage. The Grove has really good food that is reasonably priced, and quality prepared. They have great burgers and fries, and an exceptional turkey club! Their drinks are priced at about what any restaurant or club would price them at. They do have some creative cocktails like "The Quarantini"! They have a few craft beers available, and my husband loves that they have Shiner on draft. We were visiting with some friends after a show, so a little late to leave at a recent outing there. The Grove employees started cleaning tables and I can honestly tell you I was so impressed with the level of deep cleaning they were performing. They really were trying to do their best at making this a safe environment, and protecting their customers and employees. Definitely check out the Grove if you are interested in live comedy! Their schedule for 2021 has been so impressive! You will be amazed at some of the huge names they're bringing in.

I came here with my boyfriend for Greg Morton's show on a Saturday. They have you put your phones in a sealed bag when you enter otherwise I would include pictures of the food. My boyfriend got a burger, which he enjoyed, and i got the mozzarella sticks, which had a weird consistency and made my stomach hurt. I really enjoyed the intimate comedy club vibes though and we had a great spot in the center of the back section. And they have drinks named after each of the performers! I ordered Greg Morton's and it was delicious. I would definitely return for another casual comedy show dinner date!

We came here for crawfish and got an appetizer of nachos with it and a table came 20 minutes after us got their food before we did. The chips were stale and the queso was no better than the jar stuff from Walmart. The tea was not sweet and the crawfish had no flavor and you can see there's no seasoning on the corn and potatoes. The crawfish was blue inside which means it had been frozen which explains why the meat was so tough. I was stupid enough to try it after seeing all these warning signs. I've never seen a show so maybe that's why people like this place, but you can't pay me to eat here again.

The veggie wrap with the rice and beans. You can't go wrong.

Steak potato vegetables with Alfredo and chips and sandwiches. Everything on the menu is good.

    Classy neighborhood restaurant and bar.

I had only been in town for about an hour when I found this restaurant on Yelp, conveniently located near my hotel. The full parking lot gave me hope; usually a great sign when looking for local gems. I walked in with my 11-year-old daughter and was greeted by a male host who let me know there would be a 30-minute wait due to short staffing. I noticed three vacant tables but understood the situation and agreed to wait. There was nowhere to sit inside, so I walked my daughter back to the truck. After 15 minutes, I saw another couple enter. A waitress immediately approached them and seated them at one of the vacant tables. I returned to the door and asked if something had changed. The same waitress told me again that they were short-staffed. I asked if the newly seated couple had reservations; she said they don't take reservations. So I asked plainly; why were we skipped? No clear answer. Just the same explanation repeated. Thankfully, the original male host returned, and I explained the situation. He apologized and seated us. But the issues didn't stop. We sat at our table for 10 more minutes without even being acknowledged, while guests seated after us were already receiving drinks. I had to stop a waitress and ask who our server was; it turned out to be the same young lady who had previously overlooked us. Despite all this, I chose to respond with kindness and good energy. Still, the experience weighed on my daughter. I could see it in her face; she wanted to leave. I had to encourage her to eat once the food arrived. She felt the mistreatment. I took it as a teaching moment and reminded her that while we can't control how others treat us, we can control how we respond. Being different in appearance doesn't mean we deserve different treatment. Our money is just as green. I've served this country during multiple military deployments, protecting freedoms abroad; only to return home and feel disrespected in a small American town. To the young lady: if you sat with me for five minutes, maybe you'd understand why treating others with dignity matters. To the host who stepped in and made it right; you are the reason I served. And to be clear: I left a generous tip--not for the service, but so there would be no misconceptions. I don't ask for handouts. I've worked my whole life to provide for my family. I simply expect respect in return.

Our host kept making eye contact with us and ignoring cleaning a table when the restaurant was dang-near empty. Went there for the endless wings, stayed because we already wasted enough time waiting for our table. When we FINALLY got a table, we ended up ordering the 1$ margaritas. We were only able to get 4 margs in a span of 1 1/2 hours. I could've walked over to the liquor store and poured my own at that point. Not to mention the real despicable part of the night, was when we went for the endless wings that were advertised, they said that we don't get to order that. Unacceptable. Considering all the food is frozen (what it tasted like), maybe they just didn't have enough microwaves in the back to cook our food. Our server was cool, but dang did it take an absurd amount of time to get the food. I'm hurt. Applebees. I ate at your place when I was 7. No wonder I blocked out the taste of the food from my memory. How does one make a chicken bacon ranch taste like a piece of soggy cardboard, granted there is ranch on that piece of cardboard. Writing this while my stomach feels like it has been given a punch to the gut, I feel guilty for having eaten here. I was betrayed. You are a monster Applebees. Consider this your final warning.
