Came in for dinner and was pleasantly surprised all around. Great service by Amber, who was so perfect on her customer friendly attitude and timing. The atmosphere was relaxed and I felt right at home. The food was most excellent as well. Had some buffalo wings, which weren't spicy and had more of a pepper taste...pretty tasty. Also had the Bacon Bleu burger, which came out hot on a nicely toasted bun served open face. I'll definitely be back, and will most likely adopt this joint as my go to burger and brew place when I'm in town. read more

We made our first venture to the Grove to watch the Raiders game. I was impressed with the bar and the knowledgable bartender. I had a cheeseburger and it was enjoyable. They did offer a fry sauce for my side of fries and I enjoyed it. Will request it from now on. This may be our new Sunday afternoon football bar. read more

I had a great experience. I recently ate here for lunch around 1:00 on a Thursday and it was not busy. I got a seat in the bar but the dining room was very unique. What sports bar has a water wall in the dining room? Very unique place. I had the Philly cheese steak on sour dough with the hand cut fries. The fries were mostly crispy, but not burnt. The steak was perfect. The bar tender was great. She was very cheerful and seemed happy to be there, which makes me like to be there. What happened to this place? I travel to the area every couple of months and The Grove was my go to place for lunch, and casual dinners. I loved the menu with the original baked breads, fresh salads and great sandwiches. I went June 29th and it was dreadful. There were four of us trying to have a business lunch and the live guitarist was so loud we all just had to give up talking and wait for him to take a break after 40 min. The Menu was 'ok' if you like traditional bar grub. but the server delivering a salad with his thumb in the dressing and bring out slices of lemons piled high on the palm of his hand was a bit off putting. I hope whoever made the changes to The Grove can get it right soon - because it was far from a good dinning experience this trip. read more

I would give the performers a 5, but the GM a zero!!!! First tip....DO NOT GO EARLY!! We followed the rules and got there 45 minutes before the show started...which means you get the worst seats in the house...super close to the stage, awkward twisting to be able to see the stage...however if you show up 15 minutes before the show you get the best seats. One server was really nice and told us we could move, then the angry GM chastised us for moving. He was extremely rude. We wanted to come back again and asked him how you get the better seats, he very snippy informed us that he could not talk to us until after the show because he was about to go on stage...um Mr GM you are the "host" not the performer!! It takes 5 seconds to be kind!!! So avoid the GM at all costs, he ruins the evening!!! read more

Let's start with the waiter. Very unprofessional service. Every time he takes my order I think he is trying to whisper a secret to me. The guys who brought our food out looked like some dads grilling at a pool party who decided to open a restaurant together. They were wearing golf shirts, cargo shorts, and some fresh keens with no show socks. Even though there were only two other families in the restaurant at the time, service was slow and portions undersized. We ordered an eight dollar appetizer, the boom boom shrimp, which was barely enough to feed a toddler. I think it had seven shrimp in the basket. When my friend placed his order for the house steak, he was informed that, "oh. I think we are out of that." (*hushed voice*) Now for the food: They didn't ask how my friend would like his burger done, but I'll look past that. Servings were acceptable but felt as though they were lacking. The food was average. I will give them that. It wasn't outstanding, but it wasn't bad. The burgers were rather bland and needed some seasoning. My french dip was petite but it was okay. I am giving this restaurant a 2 overall only because the establishment was clean and I haven't gotten food poisoning yet. read more

Ran into this little place on accident and so happy we did! Friendly staff, nice atmosphere, and great food. I ordered the Hangover Burger and he ordered the Gorgonzola Caramelized Onion burger with fries. Both were delicious and the presentation is super cool. The menu isn't huge but still gives you a good variety of foods to pick from, definitely something for everyone as far as foods and price. What a fun, impromptu date place! We enjoyed good food and drinks prior to the show. The service was excellent too. Prices are competitive for the area. We enjoyed several hours of non stop laughs with several comedians, although the headliner, Stewart Huff, was fantastic!! Bill Adams and his wife have brought a fun place to NWA. I understand with everything going on right now, it's hard to put the best and fresh food out there. The food and drinks can be a little overpriced, but personally, I think it's worth it. It's usually a great atmosphere and tends to have good food. They have amazing comics! They also have an amazing deck outback to enjoy your food, drinks, and weather. There's also a HUGE field outback where they have pickle ball, volleyball, rugby, lacrosse, etc going on. Can't wait for this COVID to blow over, so everything can get back to normal! read more

Good over all experience. I had the Old Main and my husband the Italian sandwich. Neither were anything special and we probably wouldn't order either item again. He had a side of veggies which were great but the portion seemed extremely small. I had a side of the garlic mashed potatoes, which were by far some of the best I have ever had. Eat Before You Go I really want to give The Grove a higher rating, but I think giving it even two stars is generous at this point. Northwest Arkansas, especially Lowell, REALLY needs venues like The Grove, but this place simply isn't ready for prime time. Let's break it down: Good-to-great entertainment, mediocre (at best) drinks, scattered and disjointed service, and food fit for a dumpster. The food is, quite simply, not good. Like my headline says, eat before you go. The menu is a bizarre mish-mash of items. They were out of 3 of the things we tried to order, and that was early in the evening, not after some big rush. What we ended up ordering was bland, completely uninspired, and utterly unappetizing...except for the spinach & artichoke dip, which was tasty, though the portion was lacking for the price. I'm literally shocked to see some of the reviews here giving high marks to the food. I WANT it to be good, it just isn't. Now, it's been a couple months since we last visited, so maybe it has dramatically improved since, but I kinda doubt it. The service, though earnest, is erratic at best. They were quick to get an initial order, but it slid into oblivion from there. Ending with a stack of dirty dishes sitting on our table for almost 15 minutes with the help running around like the proverbial chickens with their heads cut off. Same thing with the drinks, started ok then fell off the cliff. First round was handled reasonably well, then it was like they stopped caring. For example, I received a margarita in a plastic cup that seemed to be nothing but third-rate sour mix. Here's a tip: if your food is going to be sub-standard then your beverages better make up for it. They didn't. As for the entertainment, the comedy is generally very good. The last show we went to was lacking, with the headliner not being the least bit funny, but we've been to shows there that have been incredibly funny and entertaining. Comedy is a subjective thing; everyone isn't going to like it all, but it's generally pretty darn good here and a great addition to the NWA entertainment scene. Now I'm going to nit-pick a bit...the owner here does something I find tacky and can't stand - he has to get on stage every night and announce he's the owner. He tries to do it in a phony self-deprecating way, but it comes off as pandering (especially his "I'm a veteran" spiel) and attention-seeking. I'd suggest he concentrate on running a better business before jumping up there for attention and accolades. On the other hand, he is probably the hardest worker there, sooo...but he needs to check his inflated ego and hire someone to manage the place that has had some experience and success in operating restaurants and nightclubs. The story is he made a fortune servicing Walmart suppliers, so of course that guarantees him knowledge and ability in successfully operating restaurants and clubs. Oh wait, not it doesn't, as those are nothing alike. Another weird thing is the night comes to a screeching halt there at an early hour. The comedy ends then BAM the lights come on and everyone is basically bum-rushed out at like 10pm. I would think they'd want to keep a crowd around and keep the party going, maybe have some live music, which the area is starving for. It's just rather odd. I'm sorry to write a review like this, and I wish I could just rave about it, but we need to be honest about this. All these inflated reviews aren't going to make the place better and they need to know how it really is. I really really want The Grove to be successful. NWA, and especially Lowell, NEED the place to be successful as it's a GREAT and promising piece to a lackluster cultural/entertainment scene, but they need to step it up there. This place would already be toast in a more competitive market. read more

We went there for lunch today and, well we never got the chance to eat. We sat down about 12:10 with having 45 to eat lunch for a meeting. We knew we were pushing it, especially since they just opened. We ordered quickly and from the looks of tables around us the food looked good. Around 12:30 we still didn't have our food. I was seated where I could see the kitchen, and kept looking to see if our food was being plated. I finally was able to wave down our waiter about 12:40 and he went to check on our food. I see an argument in the kitchen and someone I assume is the manager comes up to us saying they forgot to fire our sandwiches, but they are going to get us a free appetizer. I inform him we don't have time and had to leave. He asked us to "come find him" next time we came. I told him it was unlikely we come back and walked out of the door. Having worked in restaurants I get there are kinks to be worked out when they open. What I don't understand is why you wouldn't do more to ensure people who sat in your restaurant for over 45 minutes didn't come back. Why should I "come find you" when I come back? I hope this place succeeds as this area needs more local restaurants, but they need to work on their customer service. read more

The food here is different. They seem to try a little spin on everything and it can be hit or miss. You cannot go wrong with a sandwich as the bread brought in from a local bakery is fantastic. I read the reviews and should have taken the advise of others and not wasted my time and money. We Made reservations for 12. Upon arrival wait staff had no idea there was a reservation. But We Were seated promply but drink orders were not taken until 15 min after seating. Silverware was not set. Stacked at the end off the table. We ordered two appetizers we got one. Half off us were served then 15 min later the other half of us recieved our food. My food order was not complete. My wife's food was cold. French onion soup. The service was terrible. Just awful. Terrible seating for comedy set up. Arrived 40 min before show, they seated us and we didn't see a server for 20 min. Our drinks took 30 min to reach the table. We then placed a good order 20 min later server came to tell us they were only serving apps during show. So we were there for 2 1/2 hours no food and only 2 rounds of drinks. Then our ticket came and was wrong. If zero stars was an option that's what I'd give this place. read more

I really wanted to like this place but it fell flat hard. Ambiance: I loved it. Great atmosphere and decent service. Food: I really hope this was just a terrible experience, to be honest. The presentation of the food was great and initial tastes were okay. I ordered the fish tacos and my wife ordered the Old Main sandwich. The fish in the tacos was over cooked and dry and the cabbage served on the tacos came in large chunks so there was this oddly placed crunch due to the big pieces. I could look past that but then the rice served with the tacos had a few crunchy grains because they were burnt. Then, my wife found a hair in her sandwich. I last went here in April or May 2016... Between that time and June 25, 2016... They have changed owners/mgmt/full staff, and it has taken a complete nosedive. I would have written a rave review in May because the food was great the service was a little slow but understandable because they were busy, but the food was definitely worth coming back for. Fast forward to today...food was terrible and the menu misleading. The previous owners had actual hand cut fries that were amazing...this menu says hand cut fries...but they were smooth from a bag...and cooked to a greasy mess. Menu says house made chips, previous owners had actual made in house tortilla chips with a signature seasoning....current menu says house made chips, but they are tortilla chips from a bag, and thrown back in the deep fryer for a couple seconds. I had a sandwich that was supposed to be grilled...but the bread was panini press-like toasted and the meat and cheese inside were straight from the fridge. It was a weird combo. Other diner at our table had a burger and said it tasted "like the burgers you used to get in a school cafeteria" In the restaurant itself is pretty, comfortable, lots of TVs, good bar, and looks inviting. As for the service... We were the only table in our waitresses area. She was very friendly and pleasant... But refilled a sprite glass with water... twice. Will never go back here and wouldn't be surprised if they go under by end of the year. It's a shame they kept the same name of the previous restaurant, bc they certainly didn't keep ANY of the things that made it great. read more
