Where are all of these good reviews coming from? I contacted Shawn for a repair to my gutters and he responded that he would love to help. A few days passed and I asked him if he had lost interest in the job. He responded by telling me that I had been scheduled for Friday afternoon. I thought it odd that he scheduled the repair without coordinating with me, but was happy he was coming. So, I cleared my schedule and waited from noon to 5pm. Shawn never showed up and never called. I reached out and asked if he had a reason for not coming or letting me know he had to cancel. I still wanted the job done, but have been met with silence. Shawn was great. He showed up on time. He confirmed what we suspected, ie that Leaf Filter located in Natomas had lied to us about the condition of our gutters. Leaf Filter claimed our gutters were "rusted" and needed to be replaced. Meaning the cost of their project was then about $9,000. Way too much, of course. A total rip off. Dont use them! We then chose Shawn's company (Oct 2020) because of the great reviews. He finished the work in one day for a far more reasonable cost. All except for one end piece. Shawn said he had to find the right piece and then come back and put it in place. This should have taken .... maybe 2 weeks tops. And now its early Jan 2021 and no end piece and no Shawn. Despite several attempts, Shawn was unable or too busy to get it done. And then he stopped communicating at all. We would have been happy if he had just told us how WE could get this missing piece ourselves. Ah well. Now, I have read several more recent reviews where Shawn seems to have not delivered the customer service earlier reviewers had mentioned. One thing Shawn did tell me was that he had suffered several significant losses at that time and he was having difficulties dealing with them. Understandable. And for all I know, he got Covid or someone close to him got it and the rest is history. This is why I gave him 3 stars and not one star: We were pleased with everything except for being ghosted and being stuck with an unsightly gutter at one end. Shawn, owner and installer, returned our phone call same day. Gave an estimate the next day, and we were on his schedule to install the Leaf Baster Pro a few weeks out. What a find. Great Company. I sent a request out to 3 or 4 companies on Yelp for a bid to clean my gutters. I needed them clean before the rains returned on Thursday as I had some flooding issues. Flooding was a result of clogged downspouts and gutters past due for a cleaning. I am getting a old to be up that hi on a ladder these days. Shawn called back within a hour or two of my bid request. He had a great price and was able to get to me sooner than others coming from down the hill in the more populated areas. He cleaned the gutters, repaired the gutters where I had leaks, cleaned up the mess, even cleaned an area larger then what he created. Shawn called back the next day after the rain to check on me. If you want an honest, reasonably priced, great worker to do your gutters then Shawn is your guy. I will have him back to do more work when needed on my home and recommend him to all. read more

He came on time the day the install was scheduled, and spent all day installing the LeafBlaster Pro on December 7th. He was thorough, went through the pros and cons and what to look for during heavy rains, to make sure the guards and gutters are working. He responds almost immediately, and available at short notice. He came out today (less that 24 hours after I called him) to fix a gutter that had some damage from something falling on it, and fixed it, and will come back to seal it. I contacted Shawn the Gutter Guard Specialist in Nov 2019 just because of the great reviews here. He responded timely and gave us a bid of $3000 to clean, repair and cover our gutters. We gave him a $270 deposit to "get on his calendar" for Feb 12 2020. In Feb, I tried numerous times to call, text to verify the appointment with no response. Feb 12 came with no call or showing from him. I discovered his address on the facebook & web site has been empty and for sale since Dec 2019. I left a review of my experience on his facebook and he messaged me to do our gutters Mar 30 as he had "medical issues". I responded Yes,yes. He messaged again to reschedule for Apr 2, due to rain. On sunny Apr 2 8:30 am he messaged a video of the ocean and a pic of a book (bible?) with no other content.??? At 11:00 am (he hadn't shown up) I responded with a request for a $270 refund. BTW 2 other folks contacted me saying they also gave a deposit last fall and haven't gotten their job done yet. Don't know what happened to this guy.... Now I would be flexible due to covid but it's been 4-5 months and this is just bad business. read more

Stumbled across Shawn's business on Craigslist. Really wanting to get the gutters properly taken care of before the rainy season, Shawn was on the schedule quickly. Overall a great experience. I reached out to Shawn Wrigley (owner/operator) via Yelp to have my gutters cleaned and gutter guards installed. His estimate for the job was significantly lower than his others so I accepted. Shawn scheduled my gutter cleaning for October but he never showed nor did he notify me of cancelling. Upon contacting Shawn, he said he was having phone problems and rescheduled the gutter cleaning and gutter guard installation for November on 2 separate dates. Once again, Shawn was a no-show for both appointments and never called to cancel. I tried several times to call Shawn but he never answered and his voicemail box was full. I then tried texting as well as sending messages via email, Facebook and Yelp but to no avail so I finally gave up. Several weeks later, out of the blue, Shawn sends me a message via Yelp saying that he took some personal time off and offered me a 15% discount for the inconvenience. I decided to give Shawn one more chance and accepted his offer. He scheduled my gutter cleaning for the following week in December and the gutter guard installation for the subsequent week. To my dismay, Shawn was a no-show for both appointment and never called to cancel. It's worth noting that Shawn's latest messages (sent via Yelp) were very incoherent and unprofessional in contrast to his initial responses on Yelp. I have no idea what's going with Shawn but based on my experience, I would strongly advise avoiding this company. read more

I sent a Yelp message requesting a quote for a gutter cleaning in the evening after normal work hours and Shawn responded within a couple of hours that night and scheduled to perform the work the following morning. My clogged drains and flooded yard were resolved in less than 24 hours from reaching out. Shawn is very personable and his pricing seems very reasonable. The fact that he was willing to drive to North Natomas from Pollock Pines during a storm speaks to his customer service and reliability. To make a long story short, in October, I signed a contract and put a deposit on gutter installation which was supposed to be done on 12/4/19. Shawn could not do the installation because of rain. He did come and clean my gutters, but he blew mud and debris all over my gutters, house, fence, and my neighbors house, and did not clean it up. I had to hose down all of the above. He scheduled a new appointment on 1/11/20 to install gutters. He did not show. He did not respond to any of my texts, emails, or voicemails. He was missing in action. I contacted the supplier of the gutters (Gutter Glove in Roseville), and they had not heard from him either since before Christmas. Finally Shawn contacted me at the end of January, and said he would refund my deposit. He promised he would mail a check three different times, and I have still not received it as of today. I called Shawn of Gutter Guard Specialist and he came and gave me a bid to install gutter guards. I paid him 10% down as required by him and set a date for install. That was on Feb. 7th. He has not shown up yet and today is the 11th. I have made 5 phone calls, 3 texts, and 3 emails. He text back and said he was having to much work and would call and reschedule. So far no phone calls back from him . I will not recommend him for his services to anyone. Very poor communicator. A clean gutter helps your roof to last longer. When I had a new roof a few years ago they installed new gutters and some lame course mesh screens. I Have a two story and I got tired of risking my life on the roof and ladder so I called Shawn from Rooftop Gutter Cleaners. Perfect service. Although he lives in Pollack Pines he routinely works down here in Sacramento. He Returned my call within an hour and scheduled a Saturday cleaning to fit my work schedule. I have numerous trees that cover my home and lots of debris gets into my gutters so in addition to cleaning my clogged downspouts he sold me on fine mesh replacement screens to cover the gutters. These screens are manufactured in Rocklin and sold through Costco. These look to be a much better product that the previous product. Shawn was all-round awesome -- He showed up as expected and walked me through the guards themselves, and the process in great detail, answering questions along the way. He check out everything from below and from the roof itself, and before we reached an agreement, he cleared branches off the roof, and removed the twigs, sticks, leaves, etc. from the gutters. When they were clean he ran water to check for leaks. He explained he'd clean things again just before installation, and seal any bad joints. He went way beyond what most contractors would do with this, fixing plugged downspouts, and explaining the moss on the shingles and how to deal with it, and installing new gutters on a detached garage that didn't have any. I met Shawn through another neighbor here in Elmhurst. I was so impressed with his work and character that I booked gutter repair and leaf guards for both houses that we own. Our house in Tahoe Park has a huge camphor tree that drops billions of leaves and cleaning out those gutters is not easy. Noticed gutters overflowing on my 2 story home with the recent wet weather. Searched craigslist, then Yelp and found Shawn. He came out to Folsom, checked my gutters, explained the problems in detail and gave me a great price considering my gutters wrapped around the entire house. Had a massive clog due to a pine tree, Shawn manually dug out the gunk and cleared the downspouts with a hose. He used blowers on dry sections and water-jetted the gutters and downspouts. Shawn did a great job. I recently moved into a house that had old gutter guards on that had huge spaces which just collected pine needles and crap in them. I contacted Shawn and he recommended micromesh guards. Shawn was at my place today, removed the old ones, which was a challenge because they had been originally installed incorrectly.
