My wife and I moved to a new house a few weeks ago and the inspection report showed that there were a few things wrong with our water regulator, water temp, water pressure and a lot of the plumbing wasn't put in correctly. Unfortunately Amir was busy with another job and couldn't make it out to my home but he offered to help figure out the issue over the phone. Over Facetime Amir was able to figure out the problem and advised me to order a part directly from the manufacturer. Well the part came and after replacing it my water heater started working! After waiting four hours, the other plumber never called and failed to come to the house. We were desperate late at night and called Amir at The Happy Plunger. Amir arrived within 15 minutes and solved the problem within 10 minutes. He is highly intelligent, emotionally intelligent, kind, sensitive, and honest. And Amir has a great attitude towards his work and does better than any plumber we have called in the desert area. (We have dealt with at least 15 plumbers over a 20-year period, and Amil ranks at the top 1% of this list -- by far is better than any of them -- they don't even come close to him.!!!) Now. Amil is the only plumber we will ever call. His prices are very good too -- he didn't charge extra for the RUSH Holiday service. If you want a truly frustrating experience, then call Amir at The Happy Plunger. (Really . . . don't. He's unreliable and rude.) In fact, take a close look at some of the reviews that the Yelp algorithm does not "recommend"; they're consistent with our experience with Amir. We called Amir about two months ago to set up service. After a phone discussion about what we needed, he made an appointment to come to our home the next day. Because he said he couldn't write anything down, he asked us to send him our personal information by text, which we promptly did. But he never showed up for the appointment, and then refused to respond to numerous follow-up messages as we tried to find out why he had ghosted us. We were ultimately forced to call another company. Then, this week, we saw that Amir's company was on a list of local technicians that service our brand of tankless hot water heaters. Believing in second chances, we called him again. (Our mistake!) He again said he couldn't write anything down, and asked us to send our personal information (email address, home address, serial and model numbers of the unit), which we promptly did. And again, he never responded and never showed up at our home. And just like the first time, he has refused to respond to numerous follow-up messages as we've tried to find out why he AGAIN ghosted us. We've contacted the manufacturer to begin the process of having Amir removed from their list of recommended technicians. He's truly awful. Please save yourself the time and frustration and call someone else. (Incidentally, we've noticed that when others have posted reviews describing similar experiences, Amir replied by claiming that he never spoke to them and that they must have the "wrong company." We're definitely not mistaken. And if he claims that again in our case, then he's simply not being truthful.) read more

Amir at The Happy Plunger is extremely passionate about plumbing and the quality of his work shows. I screwed up a DIY job fixing our shower, leaving us without water on a Saturday night. I called him late Saturday to see if he could come in Sunday. He showed up and fixed my mistakes and then some at a reasonable price! Funny thing was: earlier that day I called him about installing a water softener I was thinking of purchasing. After describing my setup over the phone, he described in great detail why the setup wouldn't be to code and posed a health risk. He said he wasn't a softening expert, but he would ask around. I certainly didn't expect a call back, but an hour later, he called ME back to have a conference call with his plumbing friend that knew a bit more about softening options. I was looking for an honest & professional plumbing company and came across Amirs page on Yelp. Before coming out on location he asked for pictures & video of the valves that needed to be changed. He replaced 3 copper shutoff valves under the kitchen sink & checked for leaks there after. There was a leak from the faucet mount. he reputtied the base removing it completely & reassured that there's no more leaks. He also replaced the washers for the lavatory faucets. Total was $400. Overall, it was a great experience. His price is mid ranged but his work & professionalism is exquisite. read more

This is the third time I've used Amir. He is a life-saver! He helped me mitigate what could have been a nightmare to address. During a recent termite inspection, a broken drain pipe was discovered in the crawl space. Literally, a completely separated drain pipe that was emptying shower water directly under my duplex for who knows how long. I called Amir and he referred me to a top-notch restoration company to make the area safe for him to enter and then took time out of his busy schedule to fix the problem right away. Amazingly blessed to find Amir!! We found out the water heater suddenly didn't work late at night. Desperately I tried to fix it on my own but obviously I couldn't. I saw great reviews about Amir but it was too late to call - at least that's what I thought. Driven by desperation I called, yet to my surprise, he answered very professionally at 9:30pm. I explained what happened and he was trying to guide me through over the phone but I couldn't do it. And he showed up. Oh my goodness.... We had just bought our 1927 home and were so excited. We soon discovered it had all the original plumbing and sewer drains. Galvanized plumbing, cracked clay and cast iron sewer lines. It was a disaster. And there was very little space under the house in which to work. We had received an estimate from another company on what it would be to only put in a clean out and new sewer lines. We then called The Happy Plunger (Amir) and he gave us about the same quote for a clean out, new sewer lines, all new copper plumbing, a new hot water heater, new outside spigots, and more and all permitted! This Yelp review is long overdue but Amir helped me tremendously when my water heater died a few months back. He easily could have replaced the entire unit for several thousand dollars like the one other quote I received before Amir's visit. Instead, the Happy Plunger inspected the water heater, found two bad components and suggested warranty replacement parts from the manufacturer. Called with a stopped up toilet and shower and sink - the whole house. Said they'd be here in an hour - showed up in 40 minutes. Did a very very detailed investigation of where the stoppage might be, including a no-hesitation visit to the crawl space under the house. Was good enough to take pictures under there to later give a free assessment as to the overall health of our plumbing service. They snaked the line in the direction they best guessed the blockage was located and it was clean in minutes. Then they came inside to help me debug a leaky toilet valve, and crawled under a sink to tighten a loose faucet - all no extra charge. Their fee was quite fair. I highly recommend Amir at the Happy Plunger. After buying a new home, we found the shower was backing up. Amir found that there was a very old pipe that run under the sidewalk on the side of our house that had to be replaced. It was old and completely clogged with roots. He helped us to save money by recommending that we install a trenchless pipe, which avoided breaking up the entire sidewalk and paying for new concrete. I tried to adjust the hot water maximum temperature setting on my shower and ended up breaking something. I called Amir and instead of just coming out and charging me, he talked me through the problem, helped me shut off the water at the shower valve, and helped me identify the valve cartridge as the potential culprit. I ordered a replacement valve cartridge on Amazon for $20 and easily fixed it myself. I'll definitely call Amir in the future whenever I have a plumbing issue. read more
