For starters, the salon is beautiful and super well kept, it feels extremely luxurious! Most importantly, Alie is super professional and KNOWS what she's doing! I came in with 3x dyed darkest brown hair and wanted to completely flip my look to a beautiful blue, and Alie did just that! Even after a round of bleach my hair still feels healthy with no breakage! While I have always been happy with the quality of the work done here, it's important that customers be aware of their cancellation/rescheduling policy. In order to avoid being charged 50% of whatever services you are booked for, you need to contact them a full 3 days before your appointment. You get charged 100% if you cancel "same day", but since they are closed Mondays, if you reach out on a Monday to reschedule a Tuesday appointment, to them this qualifies as a "same day" cancellation, and would be subject to a 100% charge. I contacted the salon over 24 hours in advance of my appointment to request that it be rescheduled due to an emergency with one of my children. This is when I learned of their various policies. In the end, I was charged over $230, which was presented to me as them doing me a favor by charging me only 50% since I reached out to reschedule on a Monday. I have been going here for several years, and was very disappointed by this experience. I can understand charging someone 50% or even 100% of a service when they simply blow you off and don't show up. However, I was reaching out to reschedule. I will not be going back here. read more

I frequented the Harbor salon for a while and really loved it. My hair stylist left the salon and I ended up with Sky. I had a very poor experience that left a bad taste in my mouth. Based on the experience, I felt it was her first time ever doing hair. I could have compassion for this, being inexperienced is tough and I get that everyone needs to start somewhere, even though it did leave me with really, really embarassingly awful looking hair that I had to go to a new salon to fix. But the worst part? She had such extreme mean girl energy. I left in tears. I felt like I was in a movie and dared to look at the popular girls table. All around really horrific experience and bums me out cuz I used to love this place. :( read more

I've been to The Harbor once before to get a long cut+style and had a wonderful experience! This was my second time here and I am so happy with the services they provided. I made a last minute appointment online for a hair donation, long cut+style, but received a text the next morning letting me know that the stylist I requested wasn't feeling well. I was really adamant on getting my hair done that day and explained via text that I wanted to chop it all off before I started chemo. I was so thankful that they were able to accommodate me the same day at later time with a different stylist named Alie! I explained to Alie what I wanted and just let her hands go! She made this experience really special and I ended up loving my hair! It's definitely a change going from long hair to very very short hair, but I feel confident nonetheless. The Harbor has been by favourite salon for years! You seriously can't go wrong booking an appointment with any Harbor team member. They're all rockstars, but I currently go to Korinthia for my colour needs. She's an actual genius for blonde hair and I've never loved my colour more. Not to mention, she's the sweetest person to catch up with. I tend to swap around, based on availability, to any talented Harbor artists for my haircuts. This is because you really can trust anyone here to be amazing. Most recently, Delaney cut my hair and she was incredible. The salon is cozy and beautiful, tucked away on a quiet street with endless parking options. Not to mention, there's a very fun photobooth and an entire list of complimentary drinks. I've knocked back so many yummy coffees here that I could probably write a review on that alone. My first time at The Harbor through a recommendation to see CC: I was with my last go to hairstylist for 10 years but moved so wanted to find someone I could count on long term. She did a cut and color and was great to talk to. After a couple days I felt that my color was not bad but not exactly what I was hoping for so I contacted the salon to see if I could get it adjusted. They were super understanding and scheduled another appointment for me right away, the next day. I felt hesitant asking but they didn't make me feel bad at all and handled it professionally. CC also reassured me that she cared about being a safe space to talk through these things and was glad I could tell her so we could get it there. That is so important! I made sure to ask questions to make sure I am doing my part in communicating moving forward as to not waste their valuable time either. The adjustment was perfect, the overall experience was comfortable and above and beyond, and I'm truly appreciative for the extra time and effort by CC and the person there who helped set it up. Don't risk your hair! Agree with all these negative reviews. Horrific service, extremely low quality results. They're charging high end luxury prices for Supercuts style results. As others have pointed out, they'll hire people with a few years of experience to practice color skills on your hair for very high prices, and after a laughable failure to produce what you asked for and protect your hair, they expect you to allow the same person to practice on your hair again. The manager is rude and unhelpful, and the owner at no point stepped in to comp a service to fix the damage. Worst salon experience of my life. You're better off going to Meche in Beverly Hills or Andy LeCompte (celebrity salons) for the same price and luxury service. Watch out for the owner or manager responding to other negative reviews with lies about what they did to "fix the customer experience." They've done this to at least two reviewers that I mistakenly recommended to the salon when they first opened. Their solutions to huge problems in quality is to bar customers who complain and lie on their Yelp reviews. Don't risk your hair. read more

Dyed my hair the incorrect color by a LONGSHOT. When I was like "this is really bright red..." (I asked and showed specifically photos of copper, my hair was now cartoon Ariel red) the stylist responded with "well you asked for red." Then when I went back the next day begging to change it, they tried stripping the hair with Malibu CPR, said it didn't do anything, and all they could do was dye it darker. This turned it a violet hue. Come to find out, after going to a new stylist and salon (BLESS her), they applied my Malibu CPR wrong!! She said there should have been absolutely no reason the color didn't lift, that the malibu needed to be applied for longer under heat, (minimum 30 mins, but we did about 45) which they didn't do (no heat for only about 15). So of course it didn't lift! Ended up paying double what I should have for the wrong hair color, TWICE! They could have even fixed it if they applied it all correctly but they just didn't. When I went back asking how they could fix this without breaking my bank again (since they already did twice) they told me that I asked for red, they performed a color check, and they were under the impression that I was happy...they also said that they would have to bleach my entire head now because the color was too dark. That's when I found my new stylist, she explained everything specifically that they did wrong, and didn't even have to bleach it, just applied the CPR correctly and EVERYTHING came out, and now knowing that I had to come back here to say something. Beware beware beware. Truthfully loved my hair cut from these people, but TWO of their stylists not only messed up my color but had no proper understanding of how to fix it, could've been fixed from day one if they applied the CPR correctly, plus totally gaslit me throughout the process as if it was my fault. I'm a really understanding person, if you mess something up just be honest and don't charge me and I wouldn't be leaving this review, everyone makes mistakes! But charging me twice for wildly incorrect hair colors, telling me I asked for red when I showed you copper and that I was happy with the color when I came back the next day begging for a change, and complete incompetence when it comes to removing color and correcting it now saying I needed a full head of bleach when you could have corrected it from day one...well let's just say you live and you learn, never going near this place again. read more

Updating my review - I have nothing but great things to say about The Harbor. Came in yesterday to get a haircut from CC; usually I ask for the same haircut (since 2021 or so when I first started going to her!) but this time we switched it up and she gave me curtain bangs and long layers. We're also talking about color and I am so excited to work with her. I brought my dog Arthur along to my appointment - we love a dog friendly salon! They've updated their drink offerings (espresso martini???) and I've also gotten a lived in link bracelet from them that has lasted for over 7 months now. Can't wait to go back read more

I've been looking for my salon for 7+ years and I've finally found MY PEOPLE! I've been getting my cut and color with Daniela for over 2 years now and she nails it every time. The woman has magic hands and has taken me on a journey with from color correction to platinum blonde to soft highlights and all the way back to my dark natural color and my hair is still healthy and gorgeous. Beyond my hair, Tess at reception is a true angel baby sent from heaven. The two have become legit friends over the years. I love my salon days (my thick hair can take 5-6 hours to color, process, cut, and blow out) and I feel so lucky to get to leave always feeling like a goddess and spend the time chatting and kiki-ing with friends. I had a very nice salon artist that listened carefully to my concerns about cuts I've had in the past and what I was hoping to achieve with this visit. I am unfortunately in the process (and have been for about a year) of growing blunt bangs out. I am seriously so in love with every haircut Audrey gives me! Both my roommate and I have always been Groupon and deal haircut girls, but since we found Audrey, we know we'll never go to anyone else ever again! (We also won't shut up about her to our friends). If you're looking to go to someone who knows what they're doing, and will go on all your hair adventures with you, Audrey is 1000% your person. I've received a few cuts from Audrey and she really knows her stuff. She clearly is so knowledgeable about what she does and it shows every time I walk out of an appointment with her. RACHEL IS A HAIR GENIUS. I started getting my hair done by Rachel when the salon opened in the summer and I have never been happier with how it looks & feels. My first trip to see her, she took me back to my natural color (dark blonde, bronde if you will) and it was identical to what I had described to her.
