We sat outside and this was the view looking inward.

Really great experience the staff has been wonderful and the food has been great. My brother had the banging shrimp and they were really good. Be sure to check out the shoestring fries too.

Total Dive, but the food was super good. Easy to find...easy to park...eat inside or out...play corn hole before or after...restroom is at the outside door. Our table was a channel marker. Ok, cool. You order at the counter. The server had no personality at all. Not friendly...no small talk...no smile...nothing. At least she made a good food recommendation when I asked her opinion. She suggested the Chicken Philly (CP). The CP was scrumptious! And the shoestring fries were pretty darn good too. The fries had a very good taste of seasoning. Totally not healthy food, but hey, we are on vacation. Didn't care too much for the soda water. They play country music. They cooked the food fast. The price was right. We enjoyed it.

Great stop near the Hatteras Ferry landing. Ate here for lunch and got some hush puppies made in cornmeal and grilled shrimp. Perfect for me with gluten sensitivity. My husband got a flounder sandwich which he enjoyed so much. Will come again if I go back on vacation.

The food, for the most part, was great but the staff quality was not. Please consider not serving your customers soggyfries and REALLY, REALLY hire more employees. I almost waited 30 minutes for 2 Philly steak subs. And the lady on the front really ticked me off when she insisted on putting ice in my tea when the machine is suppose to spill out cold liquids!! Please maintain your resterurant more and hire additional employees, especially accomdating ones.

This place is great!! Crabcake sandwich yumm. Best fries ever. Unlimited sodas. $1.95 for a beer. Real character and pretty darn good food. VERY casual, bathing suits and sandy feet. Con: some 'off color' stickers make for uncomfortable conversations with little ones.

Hatterasman burger was excellent!!! Also fried shrimp were great. They support our veterans which is always a great touch. I will be back!

We're going where for breakfast? Hatteras man of course!

Earthy. Real. The grouper in my sandwich was better than the grouper I paid $$$$ for last night. Beer is cold, too.

Mothers Day at the Hattersman. Best flounder and grouper sandwiches on the island. Same dive atmosphere with new varnished tables.

Great eclectic local place for delicious burgers. They only take cash, hello 1970's. A neat place for lunch if you are in Hatteras.

If you are looking for a classic standard pizza, Angelo's has you covered but the rest of the menu…read morelooks to be a bust. The wings themselves were both meaty and juicy, but the sauces ended up lacking. The buffalo sauce tasted like just bottled buffalo sauce and the garlic Parmesan tasted similar, mostly being a one note flavor mess. The eggplant Parmesan was a generic eggplant Parmesan that is only made tasty by the amount of mozzarella on the eggplant. The sauce was watery and had no flavor. The eggplant breading just fell off and was mushy. Tasted like a frozen eggplant parm. Garlic knots had a hard shell surrounding a doughy center. Every bite you can taste the garlic. The knots could use a bit more salt to enhance some of the garlic flavor but these were still good. The pizza is a bit of a mixed bag. While the crust and sauce are a bit generic and underwhelming the toppings and cheese make up for it to make a serviceable pie. Crust was your standard American chain pie with a thick enough crust but lacks any stability or flavor. Sauce is so generic it makes no impact on the pizza. The toppings are plentiful as well as the cheese and they are all of good quality. We had olives, onion, pepperoni, sausage, and mushrooms and it wasn't too much or too little. The only negative is with all the toppings and cheese, the pizza did get greasy. Overall an above average pizza for a very average looking one. They had no water cups so everyone had to get a soda. They also have a sign saying no bringing water bottles in so there isn't anyway to get water unless you want to purchase a bottle of water. While this pizza isn't top of the line, it will still satisfy your pizza needs.

We dined here for lunch and there was a line almost out the front door at 12:45pm. You place your order and pay at the counter then get your beverage and then find a seat and someone will bring out your order. The order number is on the receipt so hang onto it at least until your order arrives. In spite of how busy the restaurant was, we managed to find an open table inside. There are also some tables outside in back. It was a bit chilly when we were there so we stayed in. One of the daily specials was the club which I ordered on rye with potato salad. My wife got the chicken Caesar wrap with macaroni salad. Both were very good and a good value.

Whether dining on the back patio or in the front bar or getting it to go, their hearty sandwiches are fulfilling and quality.
