Lucca, one of the owner's beloved horses on their gorgeous property.

I just spent another wonderful weekend at The Haven. It was my second visit and, once again, I left feeling rested and restored. The Haven is located on a private property in a beautiful equestrian community. From the moment you drive down the long, shaded driveway towards the retreat center, you can feel the presence of God and His invitation to rest. The owners, DeeAnn and Ron, have created an extraordinary space and you can feel their love and care in every detail. The center is very clean and comfortable with an experiential worship room filled with books and art supplies, a prayer room, two spacious bedrooms, livingroom, bathroom and a full kitchen. There are two lovely, private outdoor seating areas as well. DeeAnn is a trained Spiritual Director and I met with her for an hour on my day of arrival and it was a great way to start my personal weekend retreat. She is a gifted listener and her warm presence immediately made me feel safe. She asked thoughtful questions and offered guidance grounded in biblical truth which was helpful to me as I spent time in prayer during the weekend. I'm already looking forward to my next getaway at The Haven. And, although selfishly I'd rather keep this OC gem my little secret, I can't keep quiet about how incredible it is. If you are seeking a place to rest, relax, heal and hear from God, you have found it.

Beautiful retreat house inside and out. Lovely horses outside. Very comfortable and peaceful. Dee Ann is such a wonderful and kind host and one of the most gracious, spirit filled, wise, and joyful Christian I have ever met. I highly respect her. If you want a little getaway with God, this is the perfect place.

What a lovely, relaxing, soothing retreat space DeeAnn and Ron have created. It was such a gift to take some time to reconnect with God in such a thoughtful, comfortable sanctuary. It was wonderful to rock on the porch in the rocker, read, nap, light candles and pray in the serene prayer room, and spend some nice moments walking around the property or petting the horses. DeeAnn and Ron are caring, compassionate hosts. I would love to come back again.

The Haven is surrounded by horse trails, providing serene walking paths and many hairy friends.

This is the second time i've been to The Healing Gardens of Ayurveda…read more My husband won the recent instagram giveaway for an Abhyanga massage ($120) and he gifted it to me. (So sweet of him) As I first walked into the room, the smell was amazing and energy was calming! I loved that. An abhyanga is a full body massage where they use warm scented oil that your skin absorbs. I truly felt like I was able to release all tension and allow myself to receive and enjoy! I was so relaxed that I was able to fall asleep. At the end of my massage I felt rejuvenated! I didn't realize how much I needed this massage until I experienced it once again. The female massage practitioner (i'm unsure how to spell out her name) I wish I did because she IS AMAZING! She made me feel welcome and comfortable throughout the whole experience. She had the perfect touch as far as how much pressure to apply. At the end of my massage I was offered some delicious tea! *Herbal Cup - Anti-Stress* I exchanged a few words with Dr.Ram who is such a kind human. I am very grateful for the services his Wellness Center offers. I will definitely be back and will always recommend these services to others.

A few months ago, my friend gifted me a 90 minute Abhyanga Massage ($145 value) and it took me nearly 4 months to finally make my way here. I called to make my reservation with Tina. She was very professional and informative. I provided the gift certificate # and Tina was able to help me apply the gift certificate seamlessly. Since it was my first time experiencing this type of service/massage, Tina also gave me a friendly reminder that this service uses a lot of healing oils for the massage, so it is recommended that I wore clothes that I wouldn't mind oil residue on. Also I was emailed a reservation confirmation with the need to know information for the service. For anyone not familiar with an Abhyanga Massage, this is a full body massage with a generous amount of warm herbal oils that are abundant in antioxidants and adaptogens. This is meant to promote relaxation and rejuvenation. On the day of my service I arrived 15 minutes early to fill out my first time customer forms. Tina was there that day and she offered me water or hot tea. She asked if I needed to use the restroom before my service. Just FYI - the restrooms are disconnected from their suite. For my Abhyanga Massage, I was with Tanaz. She welcomed me back to the room and we had a quick chat about what pressure I would like, if there were any areas I would like extra work on, if there were any areas to avoid, disclosure about the use of oils, and all the usual. I really appreciated her guidance through the whole experience, and most importantly the massage was spectacular. We started off face up and we ended face down. I noticed some use of essential oils on the face to start to set the mood. They use SO MUCH oil here, in a good way. It really helps with the massage strokes and even when the warm oil gets poured onto each body part, it felt extremely relaxing. Tanaz is amazing!! What a treat to experience the Abhyanga Massage! I hear they recently added a 4 hands massage, where you have 2 massage therapists working on you simultaneously! I have never done that before and I would highly consider coming back.

I made sure to arrive early... especially when there was this excerpt on the class that says, "Arriving late, even unintentionally can take away from others - their peace, focus, and time". The parking lot was hard to find. I actually had to circle it a few times before finding it, and parking in their back lot. I entered from the back door and made my way through the front to check in with the owner. I checked in early. I signed in. I SIGNED THE WAIVER. The owner was going to give me a studio tour but she kept getting busy with other things. That's fine, not an issue. Their studio space is small. For aerial, there are 9 silks, so 1 for the instructor and 8 for the students. The front left is a bit close to some equipment so the teacher took that spot when it got busy. The spacing is a bit tight, and can cause students to bump into each other if they are not mindful. Also the studio is off a busy street and I can hear the cars driving by, so it could be more relaxing. Come early! Especially with aerial. It is important to adjust the silks where the bottom is at your pelvic height. A lot of the students did not come in until the start of class time, and the instructor still had to lower the silks and then adjust it to their height. OUR CLASS STARTED 10 MINUTES LATE. I don't blame the instructor because they can't turn away their students... but that is 10 minutes wasted from my time even though I was early and prepared. The aerial class itself was a great work out. A bit on the basic end of aerial yoga. I know the instructor mentioned she designs it based on the level of the class and we had some folks who were first timers so the instructor went easy on us. The owner offered to take pictures for us, but she went away. The instructor was nice to take photos too, but her yoga skills are definitely better than her photography skills. In one of the photos where my face and body shaped looked the best, she had her whole thigh in it. Sigh. We were 3 minutes from class ending time and we didn't even get into the silks for a cocoon savasana. At that point I just left cause it didn't seem like we would be doing the savasana or anything. What annoyed me the most ... is receiving a messaging telling me I didn't sign a waiver and that I need to sign one next time. WOW !! I came early... signed the waiver... had my time wasted... and now I get this email telling me I didn't sign the waiver. Before receiving that message I was in the air about coming back. But after seeing that message I was so annoyed. I am not coming back... It would have been more tactful to wait for me to come back and ask me at that time to sign if they misplaced the last one. I work out to relax but this whole experience was so stressful. I shouldn't have my time wasted if THEY are disorganized.

We booked our appt for March 14th back in early to mid January. The day before, the spa needed to make a time change for our group and we moved it to one hour later than originally planned. No issues on our end. They communicated it clearly and even added foot massages due to the change. All of the technicians we had were great. I had Ruby and she was fantastic from beginning to end. I would go out of my way to request her again. I was super relaxed and felt very refreshed at the end. There were some guests that were there before us who were very talkative and social while getting their hair dried in the back at the end of their service. Because the space in the back is fully open to where people are getting their treatment it was a bit distracting and harder to relax until they left the spa. It could help if quiet rules were enforced to make sure all patrons at all stages of their service are getting the most peaceful experience throughout. Overall great first head spa experience. The photos are a bit deceiving. The whole floor, including the entrance, were very cramped. It felt like one wrong move, one sneeze and I was going to disturb or knock into other patrons. It is very tight! Unfortunately, I did not find this experience relaxing at all. Ultimately, it felt more like a glorified facial rather than a head spa. It felt like my technician was everywhere and nowhere, seemingly not remembering the order of things. During the treatment, I began to feel a line of burning along my upper back and arms. Come to find out afterwards that I experienced chemical burns that coincides where the table/water line meet. There were just so many products used. I am not someone who is sensitive to products so this came as a surprise to me. When I pressed for information on brands, type of lotion, etc. both the technician and receptionist seemed clueless on what products their salon was stocked with. For the price I paid and the experience I had, I can't justify returning or recommending this establishment to anyone else.

What makes me seek his services is not only his intuitive skills with working the body but his never-ending desire to learn more! This guy is always teaching me something every session I'm with him, and I know for sure that he continues his education to better his knowledge, skills, and understanding. Nick will never tell you how you should or shouldn't be, and I love that approach he takes because it empowers me as a client to take charge of my health and well being. His words are only of encouragement, thoughtful feedback, and concrete information of the human anatomy/physiology. I seek his services for both physical and energetic healings. His approach with Myofascial stretching and craniosacral therapy made me a believer in the power of such subtle touch. His intuition is so right on that he'll sometimes ask something or describe something in a moment and I'm totally experiencing it at that same time! Let me share a bit of myself to give some perspective of how good he is. I am a massage therapist/healer myself, and I'd like to say I'm very much in tune with my breath and body. I also value self-care and my well being so I'm getting massages, treatments, and doing my body good ALL the time. And let me tell you, there is NO ONE like Nick. Although I'm a therapist myself, we "could" trade but no.. I see and feel the value of his work and worth so I rather much pay him for it all. It's WELL worth it on my end. Portland is lucky to have such an amazing healer in their area. Fortunately, I'm out in Portland with family often so I'm always eager to see him! It's not my usual monthly with him but it's better than nothing! Thank you, Nick! You seriously are my #1 healer!
