    French onion soup

The pub was popping Friday night! Came here with my bf for some drinks and bites Friday night and the place was packed! We quickly got seated and ordered some beers. They have a few on tap and more bottled beers. We weren't that hungry and wanted some small appetizers to share. We ordered the chicken wings which came with a couple of sauces and some tater tots. The wings were yummy and the sauces were good. The tater tots came with a side of their specialty house sauce which was nice and tangy. We also ordered a couple of soups. They had clam chowder and french onion. We couldn't decide between both so we ordered one of each to share. The clam chowder was nice and creamy and the French onion was very tasty. We enjoyed our beers and ordered another round. We had a good time hanging out and watching the game on TV.

The Reuben sandwich was delicious and I loved the dressing. Inside has friendly people and there were lots of tvs around to watch stuff.

This place has good pub food, a pretty wide menu. I love the garlic steak sandwich- it's almost impossible for me to resist the temptation and try other things on the menu. The burgers are large and tasty with many choices. The beer selction is excellent. Service is friendly and efficient. This is definitely a place I go to often.

The food and service was awful! The waitress Erin was disrespectful in different ways, she doesn't accept any constructive comments and she swear on me and my friends with F-words whiling we trying to explain her attitude was wrong. The food was over cooked such a the steak tips and baked seafood plater was made incorrectly. The steak tips wasn't cook medium rare, rubbery and the casserole was only fry fish. I felt like I was eating left over since the food and drink prices were so expensive. Cheap quality food, terrible service and high prices. Be aware!! I can't believe the waitress screamed on me all the time and been rude because I said: "it wasn't what I expected for food" and she started a big scene. I recommend if you go there, just be aware that Erin is a evil and horrible person. The environment was hostile because this waitress created a big scandalous in front of other customers without being professional. Beside, it was not manager to address this situation on Saturday night, unbelievable!!

    Raw buffalo chicken tenders.

Served me literal raw chicken, chicken tartare if you will. Comped my meal, but the manager who was present didn't bother to come over to apologize. Waitress was super sweet about it though. However, I still consumed raw chicken.

A cute little pub, the employee were very nice and seemed like they enjoyed their job! You Got to order the Garlic Steak Sandwich, tender juicy meat very well seasoned. Drinks were decently priced to definitely will be back!

We had an unexpected trip to the area that morning to visit a local store…read more When we were done, we noticed it was just about lunch time and decided to find a place to eat. There were many options to choose from but we do like to try places that are not always traditional. Hoping for a local favorite. Right on the corner, it is easy to find and with street parking easy to get to and enjoy a good meal and probably a late night gathering with friends. Rustic looking, it definitely put off the vibe of the local establishment for Arlington. We were the first customers that early afternoon. They were literally unlocking the doors when we arrived. The menu offered enough options to satisfy our dietary and personal preferences. Meats, chicken, fish and veggie options. You can find something. Staff was very friendly and attentive, but we were the only guest that early in the day. The crowd did pick up as we ate our meal. Large windows allowed you to sit and people watch on, what I would imagine is the Main Street for the town. It was Sunday so a little quiet so not a lot people watching today. Food was great and the presentation was a lot more than expected for a tavern. Full bar options and a good list of local craft beers. I love trying local beers when possible. A lot of space for seating during the day and I can only imagine the evening bar scene. Based on the number of people who did walk in while we were there to recover their credit card from the night before. Sounds weird but it totally gave off the local vibe. Love it. Very clean and tidy for a Tavern. Respectful place. Plenty of TVs to watch your favorite game so I enjoyed a chance to see one of the Sweet 16 games that day. So, if you are in town, give Town Tavern a visit.

I just wish the flavors were bold like the looks and descriptions. The summer shanty was a good beverage on a hot evening. The turkey tips were beautiful although with very little flavor. The salad was similar. If you're looking for a fun bar with friends, enjoy. Just know the meal is not likely to be memorable itself.

She was pleasant, friendly, didn't rush and made helpful suggestions. Our experience was great, due in part, to Lexi A! While visiting from out of town, we visited Menotomy three times in a one-week period because their…read morefood was so good (especially their bread pudding). However, we consistently had POOR service, representing a failure by management of their human resources. On one occasion, we waited over an hour for our meal to come out, with waitstaff and management apologizing for a lack of kitchen staff. Yet, when we asked to proactively order a dessert, just to get it in the queue, the dessert (which included ice cream) came out before the entrees. When we pointed out how bizarre this was, the server quipped back, "well you ordered it, so we brought it!" They were cold and indignant the rest of the evening. At least the dessert was comped, but honestly, the restaurant should have restricted how many tables they sat people for if their kitchen staff could not keep up, or have been upfront about this. The other nights were not much better. While service was faster, our soft drinks were not refilled in a timely manner, and servers did not really do much, in general, to make us feel welcome. We dine out often, and the best restaurants are those where servers help each other out, monitor the tables consistently, and communicate proactively. They also seem happier and get along well -- probably because management fosters a better work environment. On top of that, Menotomy was closed Sunday, July 5, but had not indicated as such on their Google Maps page, so we took an Uber there only to have to go elsewhere... yet we still gave them three more changes. Again, better management would be aware of how to communicate across all the channels with which the restaurant has a presence.

Good decent portions. Good price quick service. It's always a good place to go nothing's ever great about it but it's always good and yesterday was no different. The lobster pie special was good. The bread and butter grill and my steak tip tasted delicious. They were overcooked. That was the only thing wrong with them with the rice. Pilaf is always great. Always a good place to get a solid meal out of a fair price.

"Mediterranean salad" was mostly ICEBERG LETTUCE (and not particularly fresh at that) with a sad sprinkling of cherry tomatoes, kalamata olives...and zero feta cheese. What in the ...? Sheer barbarism! The sirloin strip steak, which the server said was the most fatty and flavorful cut they offer, was fairly forgettable. Strangely, this steakhouse does not offer T-bone or ribeye, which are what I usually get. My friend's steak tips were dry and flavorless due to the fat having been disastrously trimmed off...ugh. Now I understood why the server specifically warned me against getting that when I was asking her for the fattiest, juiciest steak. My other friend's scallions were ok, as far as scallions go. I suppose if I were crazy about seafood, I'd come for that. The fact that this place is constantly packed really testifies to the sad reality of local (Arlington) palates and why I rarely eat there unless truly desperate. PS. For any beer lovers out there, if they are out of the excellent Lord Hobo Boom Sauce IPA, do *not* order the Harpoon IPA ... just as bland and flavorless as the steak tips! I could barely taste anything hoppy enough about it that would deserve being called an IPA.
