    Mozzarella Wedges

Always a great experience! The staff are fabulous, drinks are great and food is awesome! New menu special should stay! Mozzarella Wedges! Delish!

Stopped by for a late lunch on the weekend. Chose to sit in the bar area so I could watch some sports. Many TV's- the table top TV's can be tuned to any channel they have but they're a bit unreliable. Ordered a burger with onions rings- fries, sweet potatoes fries, and tater tots are all side options. Burger was cooked perfectly rare as requested. Great burger on toasted bun. Large crunchy, onion rings. Server was friendly and efficient. Love that they have DownEast cider.

This has to be the worst excuse for chili that I have tasted. It literally looks and tastes like someone dumped ground beef, a can of beans, tomato paste and bottled salsa in a pot together. There was no sign of bell peppers, garlic, cumin, ..just a mess under melted cheese with no real flavor. Oh the portion size was small for the price and they didnt even give a pack of crackers...

    Grilled turkey tips

Just brought my family to JBT. Good ambience & the food was delicious! I had the turkey tips with rice pilaf and vegetables. Turkey was cooked perfectly; tender and juicy inside. I forgot to take the before picture, but here's one with most of it in my happy tummy. Wife and kid's plates were excellent as well. We will definitely revisit JBT in the near future!

Both my salad and my guests' sandwiches were very good. Food was great but the restaurant decor could use a facelift.

The service was good, and the menu has good variety. I had the grilled shrimp and avocado bowl--it was delicious. I had leftover rice and beans so took those home to enjoy later. I would love to come here on a football Sunday during the season, or to eat and watch another sporting event--plenty of screens around and big central/circular bar which I love in a sports bar.

Jake n JOES was perfect to host this at because it is a New England sports bar with plenty of TVs, a perfect game day menu, and a lively atmosphere to enjoy a game with sports decor surrounding. I'm glad they had this Celtics collab. The event was fun, they had free merch at a table handed out by Celtics cheerleaders and Lucky the Leprechaun. We got there towards the end but scored some merch. We did wait for a table since it was a full house for this, but luckily we scored one with a TV in view. My friends and I got dinner, opted out of drinks this round. I got the chicken quesadilla with a side of spanish rice. The quesadilla was pretty good, but the rice was a little undercooked. They also charged extra for a side of sauce which has never happened before so that was a bummer. I wouldn't have got one if I'd known. Oh well. We then split the cookie sundae which was yummy. Cookie was undercooked and a little raw but it was okay. Still tasted okay, food is always good but nothing to write home about. I like it though. The atmosphere and the shared energy of Boston sports fans being able to come together and enjoy a game makes up for the food being above average. I'll still come back and enjoy a game here.

Let me preface by saying, the bar staff were great! Visited in the evening and we had excellent…read moreservice. Excellent! On to the food. We won't be back. Both of us got combo platters with, between us, had a variation of wings, ribs, pulled pork, cole slaw, mashed potatoes and fries. I am guessing this restaurant is trying to make things "their own" by going an non-traditional route with some things and I'm usually fine with that - if I know it in advance. Cole slaw, while it had good flavor, was very heavy on the mayo and contained very large pieces of onion which is not common. I know far too many that don't like onions and this would have been an unpleasant surprise. The mashed had a good flavor as well (but woah, a TINY side that was the same portion as the cole slaw) but it had a spice to it in there - no clue what it was but, again, would have been a huge no to folks like my mother, my kids, etc. Onto the meats. They were OK but so dry if you don't opt to add in some of the sauces. The sauce offerings seemed a little different to us so we went with the "Classic BBQ" and frankly, we both hated it. It seems to have a "Hunts tomato sauce" base. That's exactly what it tasted like. Hunts tomato sauce. I wish I knew it was a tomato sauce base (or tasted like it) because it's very thin and heavy on the tomato flavor. Since we didn't like the sauce, our meats were SO dry b/c they had no sauce on them. Anywho - someone next to us ordered a sirloin, I believe, it looked great. Maybe we just went for the wrong thing. But I could not get that BBQ taste out of my mouth all night. Two 2 meat combos (with $1 upcharge for ribs), one appetizer (queso), a diet soda and 2 Bud Lights ($10 ea!) came to just over $90 before gratuity. We came here while crushing some time while our older son was at an activity and we have to repeat this in a couple of weeks. We will not be back here... we'll have to find another place to spend some time and have dinner. Again, service was TOP NOTCH - no complaints about service. But the food left a lot to be desired. We had higher expectations for sure.
