Came here with a group of 7 people and were waiting for one more person. Like others have mentioned, some of the staff were friendly and others were just miserable. There was a short Range Safety Officer that was pretty rude. He literally yelled at one of his coworker in front of everyone. I could only imagine if he were taller than 5 feet 4"... what an unpleasant little man! The 2 stars is for the younger guy that got yelled at and Bill. Decent selection but stood there at the counter waiting for 15 minutes waiting for someone to help us. There was me and 2 other people. The other 2 were buying a gun. Does it really take 3 people to sell someone a gun? And another was on his phone. We complained to the cashier and he didn't care at all. Do yourself a favor and stay away from this place. read more

Came here as a beginner, 2nd time shooting. I filled out the paperwork and requested instructions, none were given. They showed a safety video that I couldn't hear because there were a group of people in front of the television being instructed on how to fill out paperwork. They ended up getting my gun rental wrong, and overcharging us. Save your money, go anywhere else. read more

I've had good and bad expereinces here over the years. I am an NRA instructor in several disciplines and a practicing RSO. I have been shooting and training people for many years. The good: their gunsmith is capable and has done me favors fixing or adjusting a shotgun and a pistol. One of the salesmen, an older fellow, couldn't be more helpful when asking questions for possible purchase or simply for information, The other salesmen seem to have an attitude and clearly don't seem to care. The bad: the store often doesn't have accessories in stock despite their web site saying they do. I placed an online order for an in-stock item to be picked-up in the store (the delivery charge was obnoxious). A week later, I went to the store; the item wasn't there. I was chastised and told someone would call me when the item was in and I should be patient. When I said I had placed the order a week ago, the salesman's comment was, "It's only been a week." A week's wait for an in-stock item?! When I asked for refund, I was told I likely could only get a store credit. I was then told to call a person the next day and ask about my order. Other than my good experiences, I will never order anything from this store again on-line. read more

I had been using them for a number of years; and after a local range shut down some time ago, -- they were then the only regional, reasonable alternative. The last few visits just kept going down hill in experiences and preferences as a long time customer in the only areas that matter, imo. I actually feel I should leave a One-Star review, but I am trying to be accurate to my overall, long time experience, not just a one time visit. If it were a one time visit, per the last few, it would be a one-star comment. #1 - the air quality is in my opinion, now unsafe when I was there, each visit. Prove it isn't if it is not. But, even when not crowded, it's dank and tends to feel hot, -- I've changed my shirt, bringing an extra, prior to leaving for home due to sweat and smell. The next day I have a headache and lots of mucous and etc. bad air response, detoxing. -- Also, therefore, I then took to wearing a charcoal filter face mask. I was hoping it was a one-off bad day (but now I don't think so). -- They allowed it, the Filter-Mask, -- but seemed to bring "management" to the line if I understood the conversation I overheard with the Range Master whom I asked permission * first, if could wear it (I would otherwise have not used the range that day). Many visitors that day and other times asked me where to get one, a filter mask, thinking maybe I got it there; and explained I bring mine and don't stay more than an hour. -- So, I went from not even thinking about the air when started there some time ago, or even if it smelled, -- to being concerned for my health since as old LEO, and one whom while some time ago, set up ranges, and etc. knows better, common sense (?). Different States have different OSHA regs and requirements about air quality assurances. I saw no Air Quality test certificates anywhere, and figured then, why ask, -- self evident needs looking into? Start looking for someplace else and hold off with this for a while until found. So, this pushed me, us to stop going and now look for other places since by word of mouth found other places popping up. #2 - Customer Service at the registration desk, -- there's a fellow there at the front counter, whom over the years, (always there when I am), seems less happy over time to be in customer service. I don't like being made upset by an unhappy employee at the start of what's supposed to be a fun, if not *expensive day and after an hour + drive there. Most customers I speak with, as well seem to know about this, so mention it here now since that now became a part of this review over the many visits there. This is a longitudinal period of time comment, not a one-off visit. To differentiate the "Departments" there, -- the sales floor staff is fine, if even not as knowledgeable as I would consider they should be, might be, or could be (?); if you're going to buy, do your homework well. It seemed to me that outside of any new weapon offering, 9mm "only" (?), -- that was their limit of reliable response. This brought me to the #3 item, which while possibly the least expensive, on the face of it, Range Port Rental Cost, -- to rent a port and have multiple shooters, it's because I felt like I was then getting "nickel and dimed" to offset this "great price" (?). As a happy customer, I tend to spend more, not as an on guard one, or one set off by an unhappy employee registering you for the port. Not many walk in and drop $200 - 300+ that I am aware of, but we can and will, have done so, -- ammo, targets, rentals. I'll put in a forth item in that, -- regionally, ranges more and more (?) seem to attract different types and attitudes. I am in no way a "snowflake" at all, and use the term for others to politely joke; however, the last few visits had me on guard with the demeanor reflected in more of the other guests there, mostly the renters it seemed, but that is assumption, and not exclusively, but will comment I know there is a difference. A few were obviously not renting and appeared to me to have more weapons than experience, and not engaging "perfect practice makes perfect" to improve, -- either; I was concerned to be in the next port, -- which normally never occurs, but has become an issue recently. For me, that could be a Range-master "call" per the Owner Operator, so leave this there. Also, why put a pistol shooter, and using 22 cal next to a high powered renter shooter who looks to be impressing the girl friend; not enjoyable at all and not necessary; certainly a consideration, why put them mid-line? -- Remember, this is for the PA location, not the NJ location, since there is a difference in Staff, and the ~~ NJ location is Archery only ~~. read more

Great store and indoor range. Gun sale prices are reasonable. Staff is friendly and knowledgeable. The range hourly prices are a little higher than other indoor ranges. A lot of rental choices but would be great to pay per hour for rental not per gun rental (can't switch out rental guns for one hourly fee which would be great if you are trying to decide between a few guns before buying). Very busy on weekends so go early. Overall great place for both the shop and range. read more

Go on Tuesday night when it's ladies night. Nobody here except scorned women!!! I found the staff to be not as friendly as they should be, selection is limited (due to the demand) and the range should be designed better. You will constantly be hit with casings from the shooter to your left. Try to select a lane as far left as possible to avoid getting hit by hot flying casings. read more

Range safety should always be an paramount at any gun range whether it's an indoor or outdoor range. There have been too many instances where staff was very short handed on the range yet someone comes in for a machine gun rental (usually a one time thing) and safety is compromised. With 10 lanes open and only 2 RSO's on the line, safety is an issue because these 2 RSO's have to watch all 10 lanes, help with any possible problems, get rental guns and go through explanations for new shooters. All of this while still trying to keep a third eye open to make sure other shooters are being safe. Now in comes the inexperienced new shooter who has never fired a gun before and he/she wants to rent a full auto machine gun, and it is allowed. Now 1 RSO is removed for the 10 busy lanes and has to be with the machine gun rental. Thus leaving 1 RSO to cover the 10 busy lanes and compromising the safety of all shooters. All of this from a company that says safety is first, correction profit is first. read more

I will definitely purchase my next firearm either here or at my local gun store. My fiance and I were first time gun buyers and had very little clue as to where to start. My fiance called and spoke to Will, who was in sales but also an instructor. Will was extremely enthusiastic, knowledgeable had an awesome personality and made the process of learning about guns, picking out options we wanted to test out and ultimately training us both. It was an absolutely amazing experience to say the least and Will went above and beyond to make sure it was amazing for us. We are going back this weekend and were just there this past weekend, I will try out some .45's as we already bought an HK VP9. My fiance and I are so stoked that this place is only 40 minutes away as it will be our new hobby and pastime (ammo adds up quick though!) go here and you will not be dissappointed. P.s. Great place. Pretty much as good of a gun shop as you can ask for. Range is friendly and well staffed, though quite small. The rentals are extensive and clean as can be, prices are very fair. It is a clean and well kept facility. They also have an extensive archery Dept. and an indoor archery range, the first I have seen. I wish i could give them the full five star treatment, but they are most certainly over priced. I check out many firearms retailers as they are usually a lot of fun to go to, thus I have a lot to compare them to, they are indeed significantly higher than average across the board. I am not saying I would not buy something from them, I have and am sure I will in the future. If the item is hard to find or I am just in the mood to shop at a place that is a bit more up scale, I will just have to bite the 9mm, full metal jacket,123 grain NATO bullet(firearms humor), and pay a bit of a premium. For the confidence I have buying from Heritage Guild, as well as the overall experience of people who you can tell were hired by someone who "gets it", a few dollars more is fine with me in this case. If you are a veteran (literally of figuratively) firearms enthusiast or new to the sport (welcome!) you will really like this place, go check it out. -KS read more

If you are in the market to purchase a weapon I would highly recommend visiting the Heritage Guild location in Easton PA and working with Will C. - Store Manager. I recently visited the Easton location to purchase an AR-15. I met with Will who was extremely professional and knowledgeable of the products. I explained to Will what my interest were and he provided me with several different options. In fact, the price range was significant and I felt no pressure to purchase a weapon based on price. Will worked with me to purchase a weapon that met my exact needs and provided me with a lot of education about the weapon I was purchasing and/or interested in. As a new gun owner, I felt very comfortable with my purchase and the guidance I was provided. I would highly recommend working with Will C. Never been shooting before - this was so fun! It's obviously really loud but you get to shoot a target that you can buy there (or you can bring something and clip it up). I felt really safe the entire time I was here. They also had a lot of different guns and amo to rent. The girls who were behind the counter, however, were not too educated on the guns/bullets that they had/were allowed. read more

Very friendly and professional staff. Store is geared toward novice/beginner. Store is well organized. Very limited selection of clothing and accessories. Primary focus of store is sale of firearms. Expect to get well below wholesale market value if you sell or trade with with them. Expect to pay high end of retail market price when you buy. Store has three locations but best products/selection is reserved for the Easton store. Sale of much of the popular ammunition is limited to use on their range. Store offers gunsmith services. Gunsmith's service is very slow and it's virtually impossible to talk with the gunsmith. They will make absolutely no commitment on completion of work. If product is dropped at satellite store expect it to sit for weeks before making it to the gunsmith's table. read more

It's a large indoor range and it is what it is. They have a Keurig in the waiting room. So you can have a coffee while you watch the mandatory training video. All in all, the paperwork process is simple if you want to bring in a group (we had a bachelor party). If you want to bring your own stuff, they don't hassle you at all. I thought their prices were very fair. They don't try to sell you on some kind of big package or anything and everything is a la carte. If you don't want to spend money for two hours, just get one hour. If you want to do three rentals for your group, sure why not? Duh, going to a private club will always be cheaper. Rentals will always be expensive but you pay for what you get. This place is clean, doesn't have excessive upselling, has a nice catalog of rentals (and yes, rentals will never be in a "like new in box" wherever you go, even here), and they accommodate groups. Their staff are not shy about rules and safety so behave yourself! Customer service is a little curt but they have a lot of lines and I'd be a little harried myself if I worked there. Actual gear and accessories in their store are pretty standard. You can get better pricing elsewhere but I like to browse. Good parking. They take credit cards. And they gladly split the bill between people in a large group. read more

Visited here SAT. the 15th for the first time. We were a party of three. From our first encounter to discuss range time to the time we left the service was top notch! We had a thorough and concise explanation to range time and pricing, firearm rental, ammunition, and initial paperwork required to shoot. Very friendly and professional. Upon entering the shooting range we were greeted by a super friendly safety range officer who did a great job explaining and assisting in the range rules as well as target pulling, target placement, and everything required to have a safe and enjoyable shooting experience. He checked in on us to make sure all was well and added some great advice and tips on overall gun ownership and shooting. He did a GREAT JOB ! Wish I got his name !! Upon exiting the range area we stopped by their awesome store. Overall a great day and highly suggest for training or just a day to shoot. Great job Heritage Guild P.A. .... P.S. My wife and I always have a good experience here. Never have any issues in the range. The range officers are always helpful and knowledgeable. We frequently hear them reprimand shooters for basically being idiots and not being safe. The sales staff may not get as much of a thumbs up, there have definitely been times that I have felt like I was bothering them, but Im usually there to shoot, not buy so not that big of a deal for me. read more

The Heritage Guild seems to be a good business with good employees, strong customer base and above-average facilities. Let me preface this review by explaining that 1. I'd prefer to never step foot in another indoor range again (I say that each time) - simply because I grew up in an area where I could shoot from the back porch weapons of any caliber. 2. The indoor ranges I have been to before were much smaller with fewer weapons rentals, smaller retail space, smaller range and therefore fewer customers. As a visitor to Pennsylvania, I was surprised at how many people were at HG the week after Christmas. Surprisingly it didn't look like many were testing out new toys! Store: When I walked in I was shocked at how much inventory HG has on the shelves and in the display cases. New, used, antiques, latest-and-greatest, .50 cal Barretts, .22LR "plinksters", suppressors, handguns, rifles, shotguns, bows, multiple ranges (firearm and archery), gun safes, holsters, bags, etc. This place has it all and I was not expecting this when looking at the plain brick building from the outside. Range Prep: We came to purchase a handgun and to burn some of our ammo stocks at the range prior to moving overseas in a few weeks. The first time in the range line was quick. We filled out paperwork and watched an 8 minute safety video. Once complete we re-entered the range line (now with 7-10 people in line with us). Only two employees were working the computers to help customers get in the queue for shooting. The entire process for our group (renting multiple handguns, buying ammo, targets, paying for range time) took about 15 minutes. This is probably not the norm...my wife and I did not rent any weapons or buy ammo and were complete in less than 3 minutes with the employee. Edit: For two people, 7 targets, no rentals, no ammo, no ear/eye pro rental it cast ~$40. A little much in my opinion. Finally, we were in the range queue - unfortunately so many people decided to come to HG that day that we were issued a buzzer (as found at a restaurant) and were told the wait would be one hour. Twenty to thirty minutes later our buzzer activated. Sadly, we re-entered the queue again because they split our group into two groups of two people - in different ranges. The young lady behind the counter was clearly overwhelmed with how busy things were, but worked hard to accommodate us in one range. Ten minutes later we were in the range shooting. Range: HG has plenty (if not too many) RSOs in the range. I think they've adopted this as one of their business practices due to the high number of inexperienced shooters that patronize their establishment. That being said, to my disappointment (in myself) an RSO had to stop my wife from firing since she threw a few .45 bullets into the metal door at the end of the range. We were in the far lane and in shooting to the right side of the target (and unaware of her backdrop) tore a hole or two in the door. I was disappointed that I did not catch this before for RSO intervened. Anyways...I digress. With the RSOs and firers, the range was busy with movement in/out and between lanes. Too many people can create a claustrophobic effect in the range. Either way, once you step into your lane and shoot, you're by yourself and not working around anyone, which is what is most important. Range Construction: Excellent, with one exception. Each range stall has a target retriever so you can set the distance in which you want to shoot. This is not uncommon in indoor ranges, but figured I'd mention it anyways. The bullet traps at the far end of the range seemed to be filled with rubber pieces. I was impressed with the floor collection system for casings. This was the first range I've been in that you could sweep empty casings directly through the grates into a collection tray that I presume HG empties each day. This made quick cleanup easy when I got tired of stepping on brass in/around my lane. Lastly, the ventilation system in this range was POOR. Absolutely awful. My eyes and throat burned after firing and a thick cloud of smoke and gunpowder residue hung in the air. Had the ventilation system been running, this would not be the case. Customer Service: No complaints. Like I mentioned before, they were slam packed that day but the employees seemed to handle the crowd well. I have no complaints and will be glad to visit here again if my friends in the area so desire. read more

I reserved a range here a little over a week ago for a nine person bachelor party and these guys were so professional! Kevin, the event coordinator was a great communicator, he explained in detail all the different packages and pricing and a play by play set up for our large group. Adding personnel and different firearms did not seem to be a problem as long changes were made within 72 hours of the scheduled date; and we had multiple changes during the month we were planning the party. Shane the instructor, and Jimmy the gunsmith, both worked our party and they were so extremely patient and helpful and they had a since of humor!. They gave great detailed instruction to our group that ranged from first timers to intermittent and advanced shooters. We had a ton of fun! If anyone is looking to have some shooting range fun that does large group events definitely consider these guys! read more

Horrible, horrible horrible. I used this place as an FFL. They sat around with the gun in their store for 4 days! Then to top it off they charged $75 for paper work. This place is amazing if you want to be sold overpriced guns by a sub-par sales staff. Asked my "salesman" if an AR I was considering featured a free floated barrell and he had to ask 3 other people before I received an answer. They also charge $100 for an FFL transfer when everyone else charges $30. Then they also held my transferred firearm for a week, leading my FFL to call them and threaten to call the BATF before they would release the gun to me. Gave 2 stars because the range/training staff is very good. read more

Probably the most over priced shop this side of Pennsylvania. I've seen guns in there priced $100 more than what you'd pay anywhere else. It's obvious they get a lot of people coming in with little to no knowledge of firearms and they take advantage of that. It's a nice clean facility but is definitely geared more towards those from the people's republic of New Jersey to come play with guns for the day. read more

My son and I traveled to Heritage Guild in Eason to do some target practice. I was a bit hesitant at first after reading some of the negative reviews. I found the sales staff very willing to talk about product and felt their information was excellent. They know their products and don't make you feel uncomfortable. We decided to try the range and found the Range Safety Officers all to be very friendly and very helpful. My son who was a first time shooter received great coaching by an older gentleman with white hair. He really put my son at ease, explained things so he could understand and gave him tips. Everyone really made us feel very welcome and I appreciated their assistance. read more

I brought my own hand guns and ammo. It was well worth the 40 minute drive from New Jersey! After I was done shooting I looked around and spoke to one of the salesmen. Got in there Saturday morning and wanted to start with an MP5 rental and an H&K VP9. Filled out quick paperwork, got eyes and ears and was out on the range in no time. We had Rudy showing us proper firing on an MP5 as I'd never used a fully automatic before (as auto isn't permitted in NY). Very attentive and great guy, was firing like a pro by the end of it. Did a row rounds on the H&K as well. We even had time to do one full box of ammo on a Smith & Wesson .500. Be prepared, that thing is meant for dropping lions. The finest people there, friendly and, above all, professional. One quick note: went again today and four younger folks were looking to try shooting. The guide that was with them figured two of them had been under the influence and didn't want to make a scene but kindly asked them to come back another time. Folks, if I'm coming to a gun range to practice firing with weapons made to kill, I want to know my life is in absolutely no danger. This is a responsible outfit that should be commended for ensuring the safety of its clientele and I for one will be returning. read more

Upon arriving you'll realize it's quite a bourgeois type of range. You'll feel like you're at the apple store except you'll get crappy help. I called a day earlier to reserve an auto shoot as suggest on their site. The girl on the phone took down my info as the person in charge of that wasn't there. Never got a call back so I called on day of and got the reservation at 1. Ok arrived at 1pm, did all the paperwork and was told to sit and wait. 2 HOURS passed... within that time I kept asking about the wait they said Shawn is busy... when Shawn did come at 3pm he told us he's been waiting for us since 1 and anticipated us in his scheduling. So basically the long wait was for nothing. There is a huge gap in communication with the range ladies and the range officers. The bad experienced was overshadowed by Shawn's epic exceptional service and gave us the experience of a lifetime. He changed the tune of the day read more

My husband and I took a handgun course and it was extremely informative and would definitely recommend them at this location. We have used the range a couple of times since then and the Range Safety Officers are very attentive and helpful. My reason for the low rating is on the sales side. I am very interested in purchasing a handgun, however, the two times I have approached the sales counters, the service was horrible. The first time no one bothered to ask me if I needed help even though there were extra sales associates there and the second time, the sales associate didn't seem to have much knowledge about what was available or where it was located. He just seemed uninterested in helping or showing us anything. My husband brought up a gun he had seen for sale online that indicated it was at the location and the sales associate simply said he didn't know if they had that and said if there was no online picture, it wouldn't be there. We will purchase our firearms elsewhere. read more

On February 27, 2017 I went to the Heritage Guild website and saw 9mm ammo for 12.77 per box of 50. I called the store and ask them if this is the price and they said yes. So I ask them to hold some boxes for me till I drove there from south Jersey, they said ok , when I paid for the ammo they charged me 14.99 per box, when I said there is a mistake here they said no there isn't so I ask them for a refund right there and they said know. Stay away from this store and all its locations, they are a scam company that really could careless on helping there customers They down right lie even when I called first before the long drive up there.
