My wife and I have been legacy members since it opened…read more Almost 15 years later we still love the atmosphere and accessibility. Equipment is kept in great shape and the place is always clean. Classes are run by good and dedicated instructors. Unlike large corporate gyms this place makes you want to go. In my case, it has kept me physically fit as it feels like it is your own private gym. Open any time that you're ready to go. The staff has always maintained a friendly and helpful atmosphere and are there if you need them. Did I mention that I'm a fit 84 and my wife is 80. She maintains fitness due in large part to the excellent (highly aerobic) Zumba classes and instructors. I have maintained my weight, aerobic and flexibility training with regular use of the diverse equipment and this has allowed me to "Keep the Old Man Out." Unlike many gym experiences, I look forward to going. Did I mention that we love the place?!

Last Fall, My wife and I took the introductory Pilates reformer training with Jeri. We enjoyed it (yes "enjoyed") so much we signed up for a second cycle this Spring since I cant make the classes. I just started swimming with Bree and am loving that too. I work in Sacramento and have a very hard time scheduling classes. Both Jeri and Bree have bent over backwards to work with me. I am notorious for starting and quitting gyms - but the Jeri and Bree are just the thing to keep me going.

After a few years my son talked me into training there again with him so I did. The employee waved my sign up fee(which I would never sign up at a gym that charges this fee) so since he did that I signed up. A couple weeks later my daughter in law wanted to sign up and the same employee that signed me up said he couldn't wave her sign up fee so my son canceled his membership. I stayed on for a couple weeks later but decided to cancel because I just wasn't impressed with the gym itself. Would love to see a nice big, open gym come to Auburn.

Coaches are awesome and won't let you get away with less than your best, and will help you achieve your primary fitness goals or supplement your regimen if you're wanting to do some cross-training for other activities - so don't waste cash on a personal trainer.... The gym also has great options for workout times/options - as early as 5:30am for the early bird or 9-5 worker, and as late as 6:30pm for those who prefer to get pumped after work! You will see results like no other if you give this gym a whole hearted effort. Here are my reasons why. First off the coaching staff are caring, helpful, knowledgeable and give lots of positive coaching. Secondly the workout design is great. Always a good dynamic warmup followed by a single structured workout. I have traveled to many other gyms and many of them seem to lose the small gym crossfit camaraderie that ACF prides themselves on. There is no massive classes and impersonal coaching going on here. Everyone takes pride in what they do and has fun while doing it!!! Give ACF a try I highly recommend it.
