After we finished eating, I frantically researched (read: checked Yelp) for a winery to visit. Housley seemed to fit the bill--good reviews, dog-friendly (we had her dog with us), and what seemed to be a reasonable tasting price. We get there and we realize it's owned by Tamera Mowry (who is now Mowry-Housley!) There's a picture of her and her husband (a former baseball player) in the window. We're sort-of starstruck. Shortly after, her husband (and the winery's owner) Adam walks up with their daughter and asks us how we're doing. We continue to be starstruck. Service was wonderful. Seating was comfy. The views weren't the best (we were drinking on the sidewalk and there's a parklet too.) The 5 wines for $29 was not bad, but the size of the pours was lacking. The first pour was the smallest and then slowly they seemed to give us more (maybe they heard me!) Honestly, the pricier wines tasted better. I wish our wine tasting could've been free if we bought two bottles or something--I would've done that! Cute merch and store with goodies inside. Bathroom is clean. Would be back!

It took a ton of research and quite a few email inquiries, but I finally found Mi Sueño Winery. As soon as we arrived, we were warmly greeted with a glass of wine and quickly immersed in the winery's history. Our guide started off by sharing the owner Rolando's background, how he got into winemaking, his rich history of awards, and even his recognition at the White House. It was incredible to hear because his story is so deeply inspiring and perfectly captures the immigrant dream. Once we were seated, our guide walked us through the different tasting menus and the specific flavor profiles of each wine. Our group ended up splitting our choices: my mom and I selected the Mi Sueño tasting, while my dad and brother chose the Herrera tasting. Every single bottle we were poured came with a story, explaining not only the wine's technical creation but also the beautiful family history behind why Rolando chose that specific blend and what it was meant to represent. We were also treated to delicious chocolate truffles that were perfectly paired to complement the different wines. Our wine guide was incredible, she was highly knowledgeable, engaging, and funny. The interior of the tasting venue was also gorgeous, filled with aging wine barrels that created a beautifully cozy and intimate setting. As we rolled into the lot. Never been here before. We noticed it was smaller than the other wineries we drove by. Bigger is not always better. There was an outdoor seating area next to the entrance. Very tranquil with the soft babbling sound of water from the water fountain and beautiful country views. Simple and calm, not grandiose. But to get to the restroom, you have to walk through the open shop and tasting room which is not particularly large. Very cozy space. Interior is basic, not flashy. The woman working was so welcoming and easy to talk with. Upbeat, welcoming attitude. No side eyes when asking about the restrooms. No pressure to purchase anything but extremely knowledgeable and engaging. $30 tastings for five wines. The shop sold bottles of wine, artisan local snacks, and branded merchandise. They are open daily 10am-5pm, and welcome walk-ins for wine tastings. We found out from her that the winery is family ran and has been in operation for over a 100 years. That's a testament in itself.
