Expectations surpassed! This is a must see experience when in Napa. We did a group tour and hosted event for 30 people. The staff couldn't have been more wonderful. Mike and Adam were engaging as they played out the history of the winery and told entertaining stories while we tasted the most delicious wines. Our event coordinator was on point! Amy Scholz went above and beyond to make this event extra special! She was professional and nailed the look and feel we were looking for. Great and responsive communication. The food was amazing and the barrel room was decorated to perfection! Highly recommend for your next event. Our entire party was impressed beyond compare and yours will be too!

I've long wanted to visit Chimney Rock. It's not the most "fun" or innovative tour -- the tasting takes place in the barrel room. However, the caliber of the wines speak for themselves. These are some of the finest Napa cabs I've ever had in 20+ years of visiting Napa Valley. Every wine is complex, expensive, marvelous, eyes back in head type of good. Chimney Rock is legacy Napa -- been around forever -- and the quality (and price) of the wines poured here show. Not cheap, but really a special experience. Just fantastic hospitality as well, I was really impressed by the wines. Definitely in the top 3 of wine quality I've experienced in Napa -- and there are a lot of top notch wineries in the valley! If you're a real wine snob and appreciate the finest wines served in Napa, check out Chimney Rock and enjoy. Can't wait to visit again. Thumbs up.

We were so fortunate to have found the vineyard Golf-cart tour here at Chimney Rock and to have Josh as our host! Cruising around the vineyard was so magical and the wines were exquisite. The wildlife was inspiring, especially the birds and the turtles, and I loved the dedication to sustainability with their "Deep Green" mentality. Getting a visit from the winery Husky dog at the end was the cherry on top! Great job Chimney Rock!

I'm a member for the Clone 4 but stay for the best in class staff. Cheers to Josh, Tyson, Mike and crew--we can't wait to see you again soon.

Joshua was great! Very knowledgeable on wines and the Napa area. He offered us 2 extra tastings that wasn't on the list and opened a new Ganymede 2018 bottle for us to compare with the 2014 bottle. The vibe was a mix of elegant, peaceful, and scenic!

Julian was FANTASTIC! Our tasting experience at Chimney Rock was nothing short of amazing. We cannot wait to be back again.

We were members here before moving back to Asia, and their service and wine were always top-notch. The staff was always super friendly, and our server today, Talia, was no exception. She was incredibly friendly and made us feel welcome. It's rare to find wineries that are kid-friendly these days, but Talia was so sweet that she even offered them water in the wine glasses, making them feel like they were part of the tasting! Thanks a bunch! Definitely did not disappoint, still one of our favorite in Napa.

We've been to Napa many times, and I'm sad to say this is by far the worst tasting experience I've ever had. It's too bad, because I really liked the wine but wouldn't have considered buying any after the taste of terroir with Ian. It started off with him suggesting we do our seated tasting standing at the bar instead. He was multi-tasking...excusing himself constantly for several minutes at a time before we even got started and throughout the tasting. He poured the first 2 glasses and told us to guess the wine as he scurried off. I left the 60 minute, $70 per person tasting having learned nothing more about their wines, history, process, etc. Unfortunately, the only facts that were shared by Ian were his political views. Incredibly disappointing experience.

Such an amazing experience with Julian today! He went above and beyond during our tasting and took us on a great tour of the vineyards. Wines were delicious. Edited to add - we have since been to a few other vineyards and Chimney Rock was definitely our favorite of the day! We felt we got the best overall experience and wine education here.

1st visit there & found it to be quite pleasant. It may not have the reputation of Stags Leap nor the massive cave in Jarvis, but it has its inherent architectural charms. The outdoor tasting area behind the main building was gorgeous, lined with comfy lounge chairs with overhead umbrellas to protect guests from the sun. There was also a patio seating area but with very limited overhead shades. The water fountain in the center of the concourse was quite soothing & zen. It was a scorching day so our tasting was done inside an AC warehouse. The wall was adorned with prob over 100 empty French oak barrels, perfectly stacked Bristol fashion. The interior was quite spacious, you can fit 10 tables 6 feet apart and still have enough room for intoxicated guests to dance. Its prob a good venu for a small to mid size wedding reception. We are not wine connoisseurs so will not make any judgements. For some reasons we preferred the 2017 South Hill & the 2016 Arrowhead over the other more celebrated vintage. We found them to be more light & refreshing.

Quality/Quantity - I had a hard time with the website making my appointment, it's a user issue as I am just not tech savvy. So I called and someone actually answered the phone and made my appointment for me, THANK you! We arrived 15 mins early, so we hung out in the lobby reading all the history, etc. Then Skip took us to the best view overlooking the vineyard for our tasting; see pictures! We sampled almost ALL the reds! All of which were good. See pictures. I like the fact that we did side by side tastings of many of his wines. My favorites were the 2022 Primitivo and 2021 Malbec, which we bought a few bottles of. Ambiance - Secluded private winery. Close to main Downtown Napa, but far enough away for privacy and a feeling of being far away. Appointment only, so very private and customer focused. Typically no more than 3 parties at a time. Today was considered a very busy day as there were 4 parties including us, lol. Gated private estate. 200 acres. Plenty of parking, especially since hosting only 3 guests at a time. Events - See their website. Well behaved dogs are allowed outdoors. Service - Skip is a history buff and we both talked for hours... After leaving, well really the next day (LOL), I realized that our tasting was supposed to be only 60 minutes. I guess because we got along so well, we stayed until closing! And he gave me a glass with a generous splash and let us walk the property alone after they left! So welcoming and trusting. Price - Depends on which tasting and what you buy; see their website for prices. Tastings range from $50 to $100 per person. One free designated driver allowed. Tasting fees waived with wine equivalent purchases. Hike tours $75 per person ($60 for club members). See their website for more information. Owner Comment - Congrats on your family's success since 1939 and congrats to this winery's success since 1992.

My husband and I were able to call ahead and schedule a very last-minute tasting, and from the very beginning, the hospitality was exceptional. I work in the wine industry on the retail side in Texas, while my husband does not, so creating an experience that feels both educational and approachable for both of us is not always easy. Steve absolutely nailed it. He welcomed us warmly, shared thoughtful stories about the wines and the winery, and made the experience feel incredibly personal. The tasting room itself is beautiful and feels like a hidden gem in Napa. We especially loved learning about the wines and the woman winemaker behind Levendi. The tasting was stunning from start to finish. What truly sets Levendi apart, though, is the level of hospitality. Since our visit, I have referred many of my favorite clients to Levendi, and Steve consistently goes above and beyond for them. He bends over backwards to make sure my customers are taken care of, and every single person I've sent has come back raving about their experience. At this point, a trip to Napa would not feel complete without a stop at Levendi. I honestly cannot imagine Napa without Levendi -- or Steve. If it's your first visit, do yourself a favor and try the Stagecoach. You won't be sorry.

After we finished eating, I frantically researched (read: checked Yelp) for a winery to visit. Housley seemed to fit the bill--good reviews, dog-friendly (we had her dog with us), and what seemed to be a reasonable tasting price. We get there and we realize it's owned by Tamera Mowry (who is now Mowry-Housley!) There's a picture of her and her husband (a former baseball player) in the window. We're sort-of starstruck. Shortly after, her husband (and the winery's owner) Adam walks up with their daughter and asks us how we're doing. We continue to be starstruck. Service was wonderful. Seating was comfy. The views weren't the best (we were drinking on the sidewalk and there's a parklet too.) The 5 wines for $29 was not bad, but the size of the pours was lacking. The first pour was the smallest and then slowly they seemed to give us more (maybe they heard me!) Honestly, the pricier wines tasted better. Frank was also extremely friendly and welcoming . Ray and Frank are knowledgeable and dedicated. It is definitely laid back and not high pressure. Just friendly and shoot the breeze vibes. Note that this winery sources it's grapes from elsewhere mostly in the Napa area and they focus on wine making. There isn't a large mansion, expansive grounds or caves to tour. This is a winery if you're interested in the wine label itself not a vineyard tour. We are impressed by the wines and enjoyed almost all of them. They are reasonably priced for wine purchase though I'm not used to paying $75-150 per person for tastings during the almost post pandemic Napa climate though I understand the price increase. . The wines range from $25-75 which is not considered over the top in Napa. We enjoy Saxum wines ( $100 to $500) very very occasionally and I would consider that high end , so Vinoce is definitely not on the high end in terms of price nor overpriced for their wines. Fun fact: Our host mentioned that their wines are seen on the TV show series "succession" ... We enjoyed our tasting and especially loved the Pinot and Cabernet. The Sauvignon blanc was a surprise purchase for us because we tend to prefer reds. The tasting room is near the scenic river which is quite nice. I recommend Vinoce! Visit and enjoy

The horseback riding was good with a…read morefew areas of improvement, but the tasting experience afterward left us feeling very disappointed. I booked this experience to celebrate my husband's birthday, and one of the reasons I chose it was because the website advertises that guests can "relax in a private cabana at the Overlook." Unfortunately, that was not our experience. We were seated at a regular table without a view of the Overlook. When I asked if we could move to one of the cabanas, I was told they were reserved for parties larger than 2. However, there was a couple (party of 2) seated in one of the cabanas, so that explanation was inaccurate and left me feeling embarrassed for even asking. Had I known we would not be seated in a cabana as advertised, I would have booked a different experience. The scenery and photo opportunities were a big part of why I chose this package, and because of where we were seated, we weren't able to enjoy that aspect at all. This experience was not cheap, so I don't think it's unreasonable to expect that what is advertised is what guests actually receive. When people are paying for a specific experience, it's important that the website accurately reflects what is included or clearly states if certain features, such as cabana seating, are not guaranteed. As for the horseback riding tour, I was near the back of the line and could barely hear what the guide was saying. As a result, we missed most of the information shared throughout the ride. It would be helpful if the tour guides periodically stopped to speak to the group or used a system that allows everyone to hear, regardless of where they are in the line, especially when some people may be hard of hearing. This is something that really needs improvement, as the educational aspect of the tour is part of the experience guests are paying for. I would also recommend updating the website so it accurately sets expectations for future guests. I also hope staff provide honest and transparent explanations rather than giving information that is inconsistent with what guests can clearly see.
