The Hidden Cellar is an absolute gem!!! So many wines to choose from & a great food menu. I love the chicken ravioli & the chorizo salami on the cheese plate. Excellent little wine shop with a good selection of lighter food that pairs well with wine. They had a number of bottles open that you could chose from covering most of the styles. They were also very helpful finding a bottle to your likes from their selection in the shop. read more

We absolutely LOVE this quaint little spot! When We moved to cypress and we went every weekend for the first few weekends. We still love going there but don't go quite as often since I'm expecting. However excellent wine selection, excellent customer service, great entertainment and the place is beautiful! The owner is always walking around greeting customers, making sure you are seated when you walk in the door AND always refilling water glasses which is important. Not a single complaint. Exceptional Wine Bar!!! Although it is located in a hard to find strip center (hence the name, i would guess), this place is fantastic. The ladies that run the place are extremely friendly, as is the staff. The food is always fantastic and the wine recommendations are spot on. It's a great place to go for a date, date night, or just to meet other people. One cool thing about this place is that it has a regular crowd, so if you go a couple of times, you will feel right at home if you just want to stop in for one or two drinks. The live music was an unexpected perk and was very appropriate for the relaxed, dimly lit atmosphere. The owners, Lisa and Karen are warm and welcoming and genuinely happy to see you. Taryn is who regularly takes care of us when we are there and she is amazing - - a true Gem! The food options are wonderful; try the Queso Blanco it is very tasty (one of our favorites). This place is a hidden gem! We had my daughter's wedding shower here in early December and had a wonderful time. Karen made us feel welcomed and let us sample some of their food selections which, by the way, are phenomenal. They have an extensive wine selection and Karen guided us to the best wines for our event. It is definitely worth your time to pay them a visit. You ask for suggestions and they talk up a bottle, but conveniently do not have one open and refuse to open one for tasting. They have maybe 5 bottles open, 1 or 2 of which have been open too long and have admittedly turned bad, but this does not deter them from selling it. 5 stars on this rare find based solely on the ambiance and guest acceptance. We met the owner at a local Farmers Market and she had us at hello. Warm and friendly and we knew immediately we had to visit. When my fiancé and I first walked in it was dim and distant; only until your eyes adjust and zoom to the back of the room where laughter was bolting forward and filtering the air. As we approached "the welcoming committee" it felt oddly like Cheers where everyone will know your name before you leave. Hahaha. We were instantly shuttled into the flock and molded with conversation from complete strangers who we now consider friends. Yes, when we leave that place it all stays right in there neatly tucked for our next visit, but for just a little while worries are replaced with chuckles, giggles and toasts to the many blessings around. Can't wait to try a bite or few from their crafted menu selection; however, my star rating won't change bc it's not the food we seek from this particular establishment; it's the half price wines on Sunday and the mired of handshakes. read more

They are wonderfully and graciously equipped to their customer's needs and are in tune with what it takes to operate a successful business. Kudos to them! Excellent little wine bar in Cypress, tucked away in an unsuspecting strip mall. It's small and cozy, but not crowded or too loud, so you can actually have a conversation with whoever you're enjoying some wine. This was our first time so I can't judge their wine selection, but our server was super nice and let us try 3 or 4 samples to help us pick. We had the weekend special to eat, which was a chicken Marsala dish that was pretty good, up to par with any local Italian restaurant. We also had a selection of cheeses which our server also helped pick out and that was excellent. And, to top it all off, some nice live music. We'll definitely be back! read more

This place was awesome, a nice little gem tucked away. Do not be fooled by the quaint exterior: when one walks in, talk about ambiance. The Hidden Cellar has a warm, inviting, and had a "stay-a-while" feel. It was very clean, had an extensive wine selection, great tapas, decent proportions for sharing of two, plus the staff was friendly. The best surprise was when the lone musician started performing some soulful classics. His music resonated throughout the place, bringing another level of depth to our evening. My husband and I just sat and enjoyed the savory tunes. The ONLY reason I give this place 4 instead of 5 stars is because I like my pasta in my lasagna a little more al dente to give a variety of textures. The flavor and sauce were delicious, just a little too mushy. My husband agreed. We also felt the ratio of pita slices to hummus was disproportionate, but we easily ordered more slices to finish it off. How could we not? I am excited to go back one day to try out the olives, cheese and charcuterie boards. Thanks for the memorable experience! P.s For all that we ate and drank, our bill was very reasonable.
