    Frozen naan from grocery section
    Brittany B.

As soon as I walked in, I knew this was my type of place. Both grocer and "mini" restaurant, you'll find families, grocery shoppers, and dinner guests alike. Let's be blunt, with the Microsoft Word prices taped on the menu, to the modest tables, and product all around, this is a spot you visit for the flavors not the frills! I picked up a handful of goodies from the store, some items were labeled in English, others in Arabic, and ordered the family mixed grill and a carbonated tamarind drink to go. It took about 35 minutes for my food to be prepared. I ordered the largest platter they offer, and I was not in a rush, but I would have loved a courteous heads up. When I did receive the order it smelled delicious but there was no naan for the hummus side- glad I grabbed some! To be honest, the service was nothing to write home about. In fact, the person who tended to me was not friendly at all, but seeing the Dillons gourmet nut candies, yogurt drink, sparking passion fruit juice, carbonated tamarind drink and frozen roti and naan + the taste of everything convinced me to return. Seriously, everything was flavorful, perfectly grilled and just dang delicious. P.S. they accept EBT in the supermarket, so if that's you, know you have options here P.S.S. Their menu even advertises a keto friendly item, and if you eat in, you can easily eat your meal, shop your favorite dessert, and enjoy dessert at your table.

It's a hit or miss nowadays. Ordered kabobs and got burnt kabobs. I think they don't take pride in their food anymore.

    Italian sandwich.

I went here based on a neighbor's recommendation. And I was left wanting a lot. So if you're coming here this is a grocery store first, that serves food. There are two full booths and one half booth. Had a very simple order of a gyro and what they called an Italian sandwich. Had the beef Italian sandwich. Now usually this is quick food. They shave the gyro and off you go. We waited maybe 25 minutes for our food. We walked around and checked out the store. If you're looking for middle eastern spices then this is the spot for you. Door showed up and my meat was so dry and tough I couldn't eat it. Furthermore it didn't taste like anything. For a place with all these spices, use some! They also don't have plates and reusable utensils. Came out in a styrofoam container. So I don't like the non eco-friendly aspect. So, I won't be back for any sort of meal. Maybe some spices. I didn't even finish my meal.

    Chicken skewer, spicy rice

I came here initially for the Dubai chocolate bars; the market itself has a decent variety of snacks, frozen foods, drinks, & special little housewares. Try the orange soda from the cooler, it's delicious. I came back to try the food, and it only took about 10-15 minutes to prepare. I got the #13, a chicken skewer the spicy rice. The seasonings on the rice is pretty mild, with just a light kick- I'd definitely recommend it. My chicken was a great texture, & I also got a little side salad with it, which consisted of cabbage & pita. 10/10 experience

Chicken Shawarma sandwich with fries and chicken Samosa's

Always a hit! The Chicken Shawarma sandwich and chicken samosas are always fresh, flavorful, and perfectly made. The garlic sauce is incredible too! Plus, they have a market you can browse while you're there--definitely a must-try!

Taza is our absolute favorite Cypress homey gem! Our go to orders are the chicken shish tawook (chicken breast chunks) with rice, Kibbeh and sides of tzatziki and hummus. Always great service, will never get tired of Taza.

In many languages such as Arabic, Persian and Urdu, the word "taza" means "fresh." Finding "taza" food in Cypress can be hard, especially when it comes to halal food. Thankfully, Taza is truly a breath of fresh air. Located on Cypress Rosehill and Huffmeister, Taza is a small grocery store that also houses a tiny restaurant inside. The restaurant might be small but the flavor is big. After ordering the food from Taza from Uber the first time last week, I was on a search to figure out where this place was and I am so glad I found it because I kept going back for more. Initially I had ordered the Taza Mixed Grill, tawook with rice, hummus, tabbouleh, an extra garlic sauce, and a pita bread. This was my first time where I have ever liked yellow rice that comes with Mediterranean food. I was instantly hooked. The second time I went back I got the baba ganoush, the platter again, hummus, and grape leaves. When I say I ate almost all the baba ganoush myself, I am not kidding. It is probably one of the best baba ganoush I have ever had in my life. Normally people don't know the nuanced flavor and can get carried away making this dip which can result in a goopy substance but this one had a perfect viscosity coupled with a smoky flavor and textural superiority. I also really liked their stuffed grape leaves and hummus. I can't wait to go back when I am in the Cypress area again. Pro tip: Get your food to go.

I've been a longtime fan of Mountain Mike's for years, and I'm happy to say this location absolutely delivers. The pizza is exactly what I remembered--quality ingredients, flavorful sauce, fresh dough, and generous toppings that actually cover the pizza. Every bite tastes like it was made with care rather than mass-produced. If you're used to the typical chain pizza experience where the crust and ingredients feel factory-made, Mountain Mike's is a refreshing change. The restaurant itself is clean, comfortable, and has a great atmosphere. On a hot Texas day, it was cool, inviting, and a great place to relax. The beer selection is a nice bonus, and the draft beer was served ice cold. What really stood out during my visit was the staff. Everyone was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and attentive. It's clear they take pride in creating a great customer experience, and that level of service made an already enjoyable meal even better. One thing to know: this isn't bargain pizza, and it isn't trying to be. You're paying for higher-quality ingredients and a better overall experience, and in my opinion, it's worth it. I'm thrilled Mountain Mike's made its way to Texas. This has quickly become one of my go-to pizza spots in Cedar Park, and I look forward to many more visits.

Crust?...no...Mod?...Please GOD no...Marcos!!...Good, just not what we were in the mood for. The Hut, Dumbonoes, and Little Ceaser's are just a non starter. After some Googleification and my solid Yelp crew...we came across Brooklyn Pizzeria. Pics? Check. Reviews? Check. Salivating? Check. Then came the decision of toppings. Do we go full Monty or for our first foray...YES...Just like Joe's...you only order a cheese Pie. If you are a TL;DR person...this brought back so many fond memories it was like a scaled down version of Pizza Godliness. The Pie...As I prayed to my Pizza Godliness didn't suck...it lightly did not. The pie was ridiculously large. $18 before tip for this monstrosity is what we call Good Value for Money. Plus it meant I got to get up in the middle of the night when it had sat lovingly wrapped in cling film in the refrigerator so I could have cold pizza with Smoked Chipotle Tabasco on half a slice...and Gochujang on the other half...Your judgement is happily kept silent as this was AMAZING on both sides. The only thing lacking was the brain behind the Gob. How the HELL have I lived here for this long and NOT known about this place?!? That's like not knowing where your favorite wrench, or screw driver, golf cart, or your truck is...Guess that just makes me a bit thick in the head... So. Mental capacity aside (my bad) you would be MAD not to have a go at Brooklyn. The people that took our order were very pleasant as was the deliveryman. Top Marks. Soooooo...New experience? Check.
