OMG I found my happy spot. Was searching for a scenic place for happy hour. Located in the Kapalua area just north of Lahaina, parking is easy and the views are breathtaking. Expect to wait to be seated for happy hour which runs at an early 2:00 - 4:45. I came by myself since daughter wanted to hang out at the beach, which is also walking distance. There is a waiting area in the back while you wait for a table. I sat back there for a while but then checked in the main dining area and lo and behold, a high table opened up. I recommend sitting here for a better view of the ocean. Beer on draft for happy hour is an affordable $7 and features local ales. I got the Kona Light Blonde Ale which went well with the poke nachos ($14) and calamari ($9) that I ordered. The poke nachos consisted of three chips topped with fresh poke. So don't expect nachos in the classic sense! The calamari was a bit more substantial with a furikake crust. Sea House restaurant lived up to being a happy hour indeed.

Came on a Thursday at 3:30PM for happy hour and had no wait for a seat on the outdoor patio. We got the chicken wings (sweet and sticky with good flavor), crispy calamari (we liked that they were strips ~ our favorite), kalua pork tacos (pretty good size for happy hour!), sliders (beef patty's with kalua pork ~ the pork flavor overpowered the rest of the burger) and hurricane fries (these were okay, the only one I'd skip if we went again). View from this place is the best beach views ~ you're right on the sand

I love seafood, if you knew me, it would be an understatement. I however can't eat pork. Every dish on the menu, except for a very select few all has it. Tonight to get a different sauce for a pasta dish wasn't worth the fight, so I ate it "as is". The food is 4 stars, service as attentive as our souix server (water refills) was on point, our actual waiter was a little off... The ambiance is why you come here. I'd give it 6 stars as the ambiance is that stunning!

We had reservations around 7:30 , but was seated early. Service from Megan was great, gave us some water and some bread then mentioned the Saturday evening special of Prime Rib, We opted for the King cut to share, and ordered their calamari and some cocktails, ambience of the place was on the waterfront, but you have to walk a path before you get to the actual restaurant. We'll be back when we go back to Maui again.

While in Maui celebrating one of my favorite humans, he chose Sea House Restaurant. He's not afraid to uber to eat well! Day two we ventured! The Sea House delivers one of the most effortlessly beautiful dining experiences on Maui. Set right on Napili Bay, the open‑air setting gives you sweeping ocean views and that calm, breezy atmosphere that makes every meal feel like a moment. The ambiance alone while looking right into the ocean is breathtaking. Service is friendly in that effortless Maui way: warm, relaxed, and genuinely attentive. You feel taken care of. So much beauty yet just 3 stars? Yes, we may have ordered the wrong items. Let's get into it! Calamari- We thought they were cheese sticks. We learned that it's a different part of the squid, it's the body part! Known in Hawaii and served as such! Who knew! Mahi Mahi Sandwich-blackened mahi on a brioche bun. Mine was chewy, super chewy I almost thought they brought me chicken. Did not like at all! Crab Club- He chose this because we love crab and maybe we should have known we are spoiled living in DC-Maryland-VA, he ate it but I didn't get any ooohs or ahhhhs from him and he never reviewed the place, so yeah no bueno. Our drinks were just okay, I'd come back to try more items and possibly at dinner or breakfast because that is what they are known for!

Had the absolute best experience at the sea House restaurant with my family while visiting Maui! The service was excellent and definitely go right before sunset to get a nice golden hour photo on the beach. I got the macadamia nut kanpachi 10/10 so so good! The calamari was a good appetizer as well! Our server was amazing & recommended the ice cream pie for dessert! Overall the best meal we had in Maui, excited to visit again soon!

    Large jagged rips

Seahouse: one of my favorite restaurants good views, great food & iced tea . 2 things needed: 1.This is where I had to sit last night. Not a small rip in the bench, had to eat on edge/corner of the table to avoid jagged edge, large tear. Very disappointed, pls take more pride and repair the rips, not the only one. Plus staff are aware tips are there. Where is the management? 2. The acoustics are VERY loud, they need to add noise reduction so people can hear the person talking-sitting next to them. Really hoping they read this and respond with corrections. As I said: one of my favorite places and I tell lots of people to go there too

update next day: We had guests come for an afternoon snorkel and then happy hour here. This is really the best appetizers, so the 6 of us ordered one of each most of the menu. it's a short menu. Worked out great , we all shared. Lots of laughter , we ate on the patio facing the sea. Mahalo

Did some exploring on Yelp and the Sea House came up and after researching wanted to give it a try. Really wanted something special for our final days on the island of Maui. I made a reservation but wanted to get there way early to walk around and grab a cocktail before we sat down. What a great location overlooking the beach and a small bay. The staff was friendly, helpful and very accommodating and because we were way early for our reservation they gave us the option of sitting at the bar and dining. What a fabulous idea because the view was incredible, with open air surrounding the bar. Victor our server and the bartender was very friendly and took great care of us. We were able to enjoy our meal and take in another spectacular Maui sunset from where we sat. Cocktails were their own spin on some regulars and very refreshing. The Sashimi was so fresh it could literally melt in your mouth, wedge salad was Perfect to share and very good. The onion soup had a unique flavor and I wasn't sure if it was the local Maui onions that gave it that uniqueness but it was delicious. My entree was incredible, I am pretty sure this was the first time I have had Monchong fish, but it was so moist and flaky and then to put a pesto crusting on it just made it "Ono" served on a bed of risotto. Crazy good-well done Chef you knocked this one out of the park. Coconut shrimp was cooked perfectly and made with the larger count shrimp, served with the perfect Chili Tai sauce. We really wanted to dine at a place that had that old school charm, and we found it here at Sea House. Live Hawaiian style music in the background by a solo artist completed our dining experience. A "fantabulous" evening done with class set in a beautiful natural theatre. Bravissimo Sea House you made the evening special. When on the Kaanapali coast and you want that classic dining experience this is your place, BUT make a reservation.

Napili was not the first beach I visited on this day but it was the beach I was at when realizing that part of the lunch we'd planned to pack had not been packed. Lucky for me that Sea House Restaurant was a short stroll across the sands of Napili. Sitting like a beacon, inviting you to end your day here, Sea House Restaurant is a place you can walk into sandy. I did, was told there'd be a wait for a table, and went out to a back patio to wait. Soon I was summoned: "we have seats at the bar". At first I was saddened, thinking I wanted a table, then sat at the bar only to realize it was the best seating in the place. Just look at that view. Happy hour here is good, as is service. We enjoyed: * Poke Nachos ($14) * Caesar Salad ($8) * Hurricane Fries ($7) * Mai Tais, and Aloha Bites (cocktails, $12 apiece) * Lahaina Haze IPA ($7) There's actually parking here, for those not just wandering over from the beach. If you find yourself in the Napili area at happy hour (2-4:45) don't leave it to chance: request a seat at the bar.

Happy hour 2-4:45 for late lunchers. Appetizers size food and drink menu View is awesome in the shade. Quick service. Relaxing ambiance. There is parking for the restaurant too. E ordered poke nacho, smash burger slider and hurricane fries. Small portion but juicy and yummy. Fries are a little bit too salty. Don't pass up the opportunity if you around Kapalua, Napili around the time

Sea House serves up a great Corned Beef Hash and Eggs dish for breakfast. It had very well prepared homemade shredded corned beef with some chucks and flavorful fat. This was one of my favorite meals on this vacation to Maui. Service was excellent and the view even more so. We sat inside the open-air dining room looking out over a beach, the ocean topped by a colorful rainbow. Paradise.

Wonderful dinner! Had reservations and we were seated outside. Beautiful setting overlooking the water. Dianne was our server and she was attentive and personable. Had a few drinks: the Sea House Old Fashioned and Sea House Spritz were excellent Food was amazing--- very fresh and hard to choose. Lots of local fish choices... Ordered the scampi style mushrooms ( "shareables") , the special that night ( scallops, shrimp, and ?( I forgot), and macadamia nut crusted kanpachi with an incredible sauce... No dessert for us. Prices were reasonable. Truly an amazing dinner. Highly recommend.

I think if the kids ate well behaved they would love to have them. I didnt notice a kids menu tho I didnt pay attention if there were high chairs

When you walk in, the ocean views are absolutely breathtaking, and the restaurant feels open, modern, and inviting. Our server, McKenna, was the best waitress we've had in quite some time. She was attentive, personable, gave great suggestions, and made the experience even more memorable. The entire staff was fantastic as well. We started with the Tako A L'Escargot. My wife ordered the Makai Special, which was Mahi Mahi with prawns and potato furikake pancakes, and I ordered the Macadamia Nut Crusted Fresh Catch (Swordfish) with broccoli and rice. I would highly recommend all three dishes. They also started us off with a delicious complimentary bread basket and a tomato watermelon shooter as a palate cleanser. The Tako (octopus) was moist and buttery, while the bread was soft with a nice crisp exterior. It was a very unique dish. The fish in both entrées was moist, buttery, flavorful, and cooked to perfection, with sides that complemented each dish really well. To top it all off, they surprised us with a complimentary s'more inspired dessert for our anniversary and cookie to go, which was a thoughtful touch and the perfect way to end the evening. If you're looking for an excellent date night, anniversary dinner, birthday celebration, or any special occasion, I highly recommend Merriman's! Note: Parking is complimentary valet only.

First some history: if your familiar with the chef Peter Merriman, he has had restaurants on the islands since 1988 - his first signature was opened in Waimea establishing a farm to fork approach (locally sourced) in all his restaurants. He has several more - MonkeyPods Kitchen, Ulu, etc. The restaurant is located in a beautiful location, right by the water and very close to the Ritz Carlton and several other resorts. They have valet parking which is always helpful and after entering we were seated quickly (you will want to make reservations in advance as they are usually booked). They have a great menu with plenty to choose from. Of course, I started with their famous Mai Tai which is always great! They had the menu printed with my name which was a fantastic surprise!!! Then, had a great appetizer called Chow Fun Noodles with Shrimp and Pork - a great choice. I chose the Lobster with Mushroom Risotto for the Entree which was phenomenal (pictures of the menu and food included in the review). Our waiter was the best and really took care of us as well. Desert was bread pudding - another delicious choice! We loved it here and can't wait to come back.

We got a little worried about the quality of service after seeing some of Yelp reviews, and we did experience some attitude from someone on the phone when we called to ask about their hours. For that, I had to deduct a star. The food and our waitress were both outstanding. Our party of 11 all ordered pizzas to share, and we were set up at multiple tables around the restaurant. My favorite pizza was the Rhino, which is a garlic and oil base with Italian sausage, spinach, sundried tomatoes and roasted onions. The ambiance is as expected for a sports pub, with fairly loud noise levels but that's nothing new to us. Overall, we all really enjoyed our pizzas and we will definitely be back next time we take a family trip to Lahaina!
