Kitchen 5315 is restaurant and bar located in the Napili area of Maui. It's right by Napili Bay and has a small tiki bar within the restaurant. Unfortunately the only restrooms they have are a couple porta potties outside. I ordered the prime rib ($38) which was their Friday and Saturday special. It was a large piece of meat that was crusted with pepper outside. I liked the dipping sauce and the mashed potatoes. I also tried the kalbi ($34) which was flavorful but a little chewy at parts. For drinks I ordered the mai tai ($15) which was strong but still on the sweeter side. They have daily happy hour from 3-5pm and live music every Saturday from 6-8pm. We had a big group with kids and no reservations and they were able to accommodate us without a problem so we were very appreciative. read more

They do make a great Mai Tai, and kids version of the lava flow. Fun little tiki bar and restaurant on the Outrigger property right by the lobby. Google maps made it harder to find that they should have but free beach parking next door if you're not staying there so maybe that was the reason. In any case find your way to the front desk of the Outrigger hotel there and it's right there. Service was great, our waitress was amazing, friendly and fun! She made great recommendations for dishes to try and everything from the kitchen was great. I forgot to take a pic of my food but I got the salad I had been craving after too many days of spam and Kalua pork. Hawaiian Saimin (like ramen) was great too and I forget what other people had but they all seemed to enjoy it except the Poke bowl which was tried at various places on the island and never enjoyed so maybe it was they just aren't into Poke but kept trying it anyway? Great little spot, great drinks, great prices felt very casual and mellow not high end touristy more divey and chill. Would love to come back and just hang at the bar. read more

Conveniently located in our hotel, this cute little tiki decorated restaurant feels the need for sure. They have a good variety of food in the menu for all taste buds. My daughter got the teriyaki chicken and white rice. The portion was a good size however she said it was more in the fatty side. And we didn't get any soy sauce or teriyaki sauce to spuce it up a bit. The mahi mahi tacos were good - definitely add the side mango salsa. Only bummer was my friend got them battered however the order came as grilled so we weren't able to try both options. read more

Bar only review: This is our local, a fantastic Tiki Bar with a warm community feel which is run by Gabe and the crew who have weathered the covid shutdown, the Lahaina fire shutdown, and now a drop in tourism, and yet they thrive! Kitschy n cozy with a comfy bar and intimate seating areas, along with a droolworthy menu of yummy food, and cocktails so stiff they knock you off your barstool...lol :) Happy hour is busy for obvious reasons and you will find locals here all times of the day. I love their sweet long Mai Tais, and their poke nachos and Niu Shrimp. Great to share and finger licking good. Service is excellent, even at their busiest times, and always with a smile. This was our last stop of the day before we headed to check into our hotel. This restaurant is was located about five minute drive from our hotel, which was very nice. The restaurant itself was a little difficult to find since it's in a hotel and our navigation was making us go into a weird area. We parked in the public parking lot and walked up to the hotel. When you walk in, the ambience is pretty dark because it's a tiki bar and we sat at the bar. There were a couple other people at the bar, but the place looked pretty dead to me. We came here for happy hour, and it was pretty decent. We ordered the calamari which was a little bit chewy and it's strips so you don't get the ones with the tentacles. We also ordered the Poki nachos which had great flavor, but pretty skimpy on the fish itself. The food comes out pretty quickly, so I'm not sure if it's completely fresh or not. I ordered myself a mai tai, each place has their own version and kitchen 5315 has a pretty decent one. The bartender was super chill very nice and took care of us. Overall, I spent about $50 on happy hour which isn't bad but just expected better appetizers. read more

I came here because we were staying at the resort the restaurant is located at. It's such a shame because it's convenient to have a restaurant onsite, but the food was mediocre. We had a chicken teriyaki sandwich and a cheesesteak sandwich,both clearly had sugar added to them, as the main flavor was sweet. We're familiar with teriyaki and this was a very over sweetened version of it. Never had sweet cheesesteak sandwich either. The house Mai tai is also very sweet and syrupy. The restaurant is rather run down so food and ambiance not a vibe. The fries were very good with both sandwiches so I will give them that. So much room for improvement and hope it was a very off day for the kitchen and all the reviews saying this is a hidden gem are justified. For us it was a one time visit only, during our two week stay. Too bad, it would have been convenient, as the Gazebo only serves breakie & lunch. read more

We made a reservation at this restaurant on OpenTable and showed up and it is closed from April 10, 2026 for three more weeks.

Avoid this abomination at all costs! We waited more than an hour for our food and only received it after complaining to several staff. Our waiter took our order, never brought my wife's glass of wine; then after we had waited 25 minutes without getting anything, he stopped by to ask us how things were going so far. We were baffled: "We haven't received any food or drinks yet." Another 10 minutes later, he showed up again, apologized and said the restaurant's manager had said their order-entry system had gone down and that our order would be one of the first to go in w/the tech running again. Then another 25 minutes passed, other tables got their food, and we sat empty-handed. Two of our party finally complained to multiple staff; our waiter said to calm down and that our food would be ready in another 10 minutes (seriously?); and very soon thereafter, our food finally arrived. No apologies from the restaurant, no follow-up on why the order took another half-hour after their system was allegedly running again, no sign of our appetizers or wine. We were OK w/those last details because after waiting more than an hour, we were ready to leave. Our order finally arrived more than an hour after we had placed it, and the food was fine. After the meal, I asked three employees if I could speak with the manager; each was evasive or said he's hard to reach. Finally, our waiter claimed (no idea whether this is true) that they had no more kitchen staff, the owner was cooking all the food, and the restaurant was due to close in the next few days. That was in late December 2025, so if Kitchen 5315 is still open in 2026, save yourself the misery and avoid this restaurant! read more

5315 is inside of a resort (sorry I forgot the name). The restaurant is a bit dated but the service was fast and efficient. Our server Maui was very welcoming and attentive. They have a good pina colada which we tried. For my main entree I had the katsu chicken which came with a very tasty salad and rice. My wife had a noodle soup with shrimp which she claimed was delicious. It was a good experience and I would definitely recommend this place. read more

Been coming to Maui for 40 years and the first time here. Inside it is old school and homey in a good way. Outside there are nice gardens and koi pond which was good for the small children. Came here with a party of 20 people, family and friends get together before my daughter's wedding. Jorge was our waiter and this was the best service I have had in a restaurant for a long time and hard to find these days. Even with a group of 20 we never had to wait long for ordering drinks and food which all came out in a short time. Most of us got the macadamia crusted Mahi Mahi which was excellent. Awkwardly dead place in terms of other customers, but our experiences were pretty good. 1st experience was in the bar for happy hour. The drinks were tasty and can't complain about happy hour prices! Vibe in the bar was cozy and there were a couple other patrons in that space, so it was pretty normal. 2nd experience, came again to try the food (which seemed decent based on the menu). The dining room was DEAD, but the service was good and the food was fine. Nothing amazing, but solid. The drinks were the highlight, for sure. Really convenient location and nice experience, so I hope it isn't always as quiet as it was on our visit. Either way, worth dropping in for the Happy Hour drinks! read more

In starting this review, let me say that I have been to Kitchen 5315 in the past and had favorable experiences. This time around - not so much, including inviting a condo owner from Kahana/Honokowai who had not been before. We were anticipating having items that we previously enjoyed, only to find out that things had changed....dramatically. First off, the restaurant is no longer Kitchen 5315 - it is now Aloha Mia Tiki Bar & Cocina, although the sign on the street still says Kitchen. The menu is an odd combination of Hawaiian and Mexican - not really fusion, simply two separate menus. My wife and the Chicken Katsu and it was served without any sauces so it was rather bland. She said it was hot and crispy, but just bland. Too bad - she was hoping to have the Fish & Chips from the previous menu which are not longer available. Our guest and I had Pork with Cabbage (sorta like a Kahlua Pork), which was served dry - again, no sauce, and arrived lukewarm, as was the rice which accompanied it. The macaroni salad side was OK, but nothing spectacular. The pork actually tasted more like carnitas than a Hawaiian dish. There were very few patrons - we arrived at 6:00 PM and were seated promptly and our meals were served quickly. Maybe they were pre-made and just sitting in a warmer? The best dish were the Volcano Fries, which were hot, spicy and tasty. Overall - we won't be back and I doubt they will be open by our next visit to the island in December. Time will tell. read more

Amazing place. A little hard to find the entrance so not something you'd stumble on unless you saw it online. Not super touristy which is surprising given it's in a resort. We were like 30 minutes late to our reservation (previously mentioned hard to find entrance) and they still had a table ready for us. The food was some of the best we've had in Hawaii so far and some of the cheapest too. First, this restaurant is hard to find, which some people have said made it a hidden gem. I don't necessarily disagree but I fear they won't get as much business because of the lack of signage. We saw the sign from the road & knew it was there from Yelp but in the parking lot all we saw were signs for The Gazebo. We eventually found it by just parking and walking into the middle of the building where we thought this was & stumbled upon it. But if you didn't know it was there you definitely wouldn't find it accidentally. And that was evidenced by the lack of people inside. We were one of maybe five tables. The bar area is a Tiki vibe. We liked the cozy benches with tons of throw pillows to choose from & sit on. Service was slow but food was decent. We got the Cheesesteak sandwiches that have Teriyaki sauce on them. Mine was pretty dry so I had to get some more sauce but once I got that it was decent. Fries were well cooked. My husband got the chicken katsu and also had to ask for more sauce because it was not served with enough. The bartender was making our drinks then stopped when his personal trainer came in and greeted them, made them feel welcome and asked what they wanted when he remembered our drinks. He made us feel like total tourists. When our food came out, I was missing a part and they gave my husband coleslaw instead of a green salad he ordered. I asked for the missing rice and his green salad and he told him to try the coleslaw and if he didn't like he'd bring his salad. If he liked coleslaw he would have ordered it. Anyway thanks to the other lady bartender who kept popping in as she was on the floor tonight, she saved the day. The guy bartender was all about his friends and paid no mind to anyone else. We stayed at Napili Shores where this restaurant is located so we thought we would try it. It was a Saturday night and they had a prime rib special. My husband got it and it was a very generous portion, a decent price and he liked it. I really couldn't find anything very appealing on the menu and just got the pork nachos. The chips were terrible and had hardly anything on them. Very disappointed. Didn't eat. Two stars because the drink was ok and the waiter was super nice about things. Food is bland and not worth the half the price. I was disappointed. Super convenient by resort where we stayed but the food is not good at all. I had the katsu chicken and the katsu sauce was "ketchup" based which makes no sense and tasted 100% like ketchup with a few drops of soy sauce. My son had the coconut chicken which was just a pounded piece of chicken with minimal breading and some tasteless sauce. Kitchen 5315 completely exceeded our expectations. From the moment we walked in, we felt the warm, welcoming energy and that vibe carried through the entire meal. Hawaiian comfort food with bold, vibrant flavors and a menu that's clearly crafted with care. We were lucky to have Jamykha as our server, and she was absolutely wonderful, attentive, friendly, and super knowledgeable about the menu. She made great recommendations and checked in just the right amount. Her energy added to the whole experience and made us feel like valued guests. We kicked things off with a virgin chichi with hibiscus, which was beautifully presented and so refreshing, such a tropical, light, and the perfect non-alcoholic start to the meal. For appetizers, we had the Na Pro Calamari, which was crisp, tender, and seasoned perfectly. We also couldn't resist the Aloha Edamame and ended up trying both the garlic teriyaki and spicy chili sauces. Pro tip: get both. Seriously, they're addictive. For the main course, we ordered the Kalua Pork Sandwich, which was smoky, juicy, and piled high--true comfort food. But the standout was the Kaho'olawe Luau Plate. It came with a generous portion of macadamia mahi mahi, kalbi, lau lau, and lomi lomi. Each element bringing its own unique flavor and texture. The mahi mahi was tender and nutty, the kalbi had a perfect char, and the lau lau was rich and savory. It felt like a mini luau on a plate. Everything was served hot, fresh, and beautifully plated. You can tell a lot of heart goes into what they do at Kitchen 5315. Between the amazing food, laid-back atmosphere, and outstanding service from Jamykha, this place is a must-visit. Great Tiki spot. Service is awesome, food is delicious, and there is no wait on a Monday evening. The chicken wings appetizer was so good, sweet, tangy, and full of flavorful. The kalua pork sandwich was really good too with a crispy side of fries. And then that Coconut Heaven Rum drink was wonderfully fruity with barely a hint of alcohol.
