JUST GO! I've been wanting to try this food truck since they've been here, but it's not a very convenient location for me. However, today I made the trip and so glad I did! Short wait, but worth it. The rice bowl was delicious. I got one with chicken. And I am already looking for an excuse to go again.

This place was so delicious. I did a text order, it was ready exactly when I asked for it to be ready. The owner was very nice when I picked it up. The food is so fresh and flavorful. 10/10 would go again!

We love this place ... best hamburgers, great salads, wonderful specials…read more The portions are generous making the meals a good value. The wine list can satisfy the pickiest of palates. The option to sit outside makes this a great choice for summer evening dinners , but indoors is comfortable . It can be a tad loud if it is a busy time of day so for the hearing impaired that could be a challenge but ask if you could sit on the wine side , it is a little quieter. 90% of the time we have GREAT service but on occasion we have had to flag down server for help or to pay . But don't let that small chance deter you , the food will not disappoint.

However, I Visited on Mother's Day with my daughter and sister and had a completely different experience. I have a gluten allergy, one daughter has gluten sensitivity, and my other daughter has celiac disease. We informed our waitress that we needed gluten-free options and were told they were out of gluten-free buns but had gluten-free sourdough. After double-checking, the chef confirmed it was gluten-free. Something didn't seem right, so we asked to see the packaging. Wheat was listed as an ingredient. Thankfully, we caught the mistake before eating it. Unfortunately, when our food arrived, two of the gluten-free meals were still served with gluten-containing items, including a flour tortilla and the same bread we'd already identified as not gluten-free. The food itself was actually delicious, and I wish I could leave a more positive review based on that alone. However, for anyone with celiac disease, a gluten allergy, or a serious gluten sensitivity, accurate ingredient information is not optional--it's a health and safety issue. The repeated errors from both the kitchen and serving staff were extremely disappointing and left me with little confidence in their ability to safely accommodate gluten-free guests.

They didnt have a printed kids menu but he helped my kids choose their food. We got ourselves some food and drinks as well. Everything came out fairly quickly. 1. The fancy fondue was very yummy. It came with toasted sourdough bread. 2. Garlic bread was also good. We dipped that into the fondue once we were done with the sourdough. It enhanced the taste further. 3. Kids loved the pepperoni pizza and fish & chips. 4. Our server also accommodated our request for a half and half garlic chicken pizza with no meat on one side. The pizza came out great. We didnt even leave the edges 5. For drinks we got the old fashioned and birthday cake which were both great. Will definitely be back here if in the area.

Gus's Steakhouse in Sonora, CA…read more In the age of "insta"... instant newish trend, instant trendy place, instant place for a selfie or to create a IG reel or YouTube. In the search for something new, don't overlook the local small business restaurants that have lasted over the many years. Gus's steakhouse is one of those businesses. It's family owned for over 45 years, two generations. That's awesome! As a complimentary starter, they provide cheese fondue, sliced bread, and whipped butter. Fondue, don't mind if I do. Rich, smooth, creamy cheese. Bubbling warm over a little steno flame. Lactose intolerant me couldn't resist and tried some. Mmmm. Then they had an all day special two entrees for $32.95. The choices were plentiful. Choose from the likes of sirloin, cheeseburger, salmon, shrimp, chicken Alfredo, chicken parm, chicken piccata... that's just to name a few. The entrees came with side of veggies, baked potato, and soup or salad. Or choose from the regular menu. Plus on Fridays and Saturdays , they offer prime rib. Well I have to come back to try that. We choose the cheeseburger and sirloin. I ordered the sirloin at medium rare. It came out just like I ordered, medium rare. Tender cut. Flavorful. I liked it! Hubs enjoyed his cheeseburger. I took a bite. Mmm. The waitress was super fun and engaging. She chatted about the place and family as we told her it was our first time. We met Gus (the owner) and his son Dino. Both very cool. The waitress was top notch. Excellent customer service. Plus she was stealthy, every time I looked at my iced tea , it was always full. I swear I was drinking it. It's an old school steakhouse. Big upholstered booths that I sink into when I sit down. Not a bad thing. The vibe is casual, low key, and welcoming. Family kiddo friendly. They even have a separate room with a full bar, not open to the kiddos.

The steak was absolutely terrible. The bread had no flavor and as well the butter had no flavor. The vegetables were over cooked and awful. The meal cost $55 plus a tip, I will never eat there again. I will go to Applebee's if I want to eat steak in this town, Sonora. I wish I had something good to say but I do not!

There is an upstairs area that has views of Sonora, but also overlooks the outdoor area which is great for people watching. The Armory is family and dog friendly and it was great to see families and their fur babies enjoying the relaxing atmosphere. The menu has great appetizers to share, salads and bowls, tacos, sandwiches, and satisfying pastas + a delicious short rib plate. The drink menu is extensive - they have an impressive variety of barrel-aged bourbons, Irish whiskeys, scotch, rye, tequila, and mezcal and quite the selection of beers on tap, in bottles, and in cans. The wine list will have something for everyone. And the cocktails all looked amazing! We had the smoked pork nachos, ahi poke bowl, and the Rodeo Burger. Everything was tasty and came out quickly. Juicy and bite sized pieces made it easy to consume. Definitely wished there was more chicken in this dish but price was awesome so I guess it worked out. Kids size chicken tender was pretty significant. This is enough for two kids to share. The waffle cut fries were crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. However, it was sooooo slow. From the moment we were seated it probably took about 15 minutes before we were acknowledged. Then it took the same before our drinks were brought and they finally took our order. Nearly 1 hour after we sat some of our pizza finally came. The calzone took an extra 15 minutes. During the wait we did not get an update or any notice from the one or two staff members. When the food eventually came out it was still missing things. When we placed the order we asked for marinara and ranch. Neither came out with the pizza and we had to ask 4 times before it was finally brought to our table. Not to mention, we only asked for 1 marinara and they brought 2 that were half full and charged us for 2.... Some of the pizza options were fun and creative but the service and speed was a huge letdown. It is sad to see another place in Sonora go out of business but this place did basically everything wrong.
